- The region and town names are based on the Irish myth of the Celtic Otherworld, of which Tír na nÓg and Mag Mell are both one of its many names.
- This is the first region where the town does not share its name directly, compared to for example, Hamel City for Hamel, or Velder Village for Velder, though they do share the same origin.
