Culprit behind Lanox area incident start to be revealed and main story of the area start to progress.

Chiliarch

Encroaching Fear

Decided that Encroaching Fear’s effect wasn’t very good.
Attack decrease effect starts from level 2

Encroaching Fear lasts longer 5s->7s and stacking cooldown time decreased to 0.33s->0.1s so it can be stacked faster.

Also will affect all enemies near target.

Dead Hands

‘Dead Hands’ skill’s purpose was to stack Encroaching Fear maximum times. Duration was determined to be too short for this skill to be used as intended. Duration was largely increased while adjusting physical attack effect

Ruinous Impact

‘Ruinous Impact’ was determined to be not useful in dungeons due to its limited use against closer targets.
Hit damage has been divided into two types. First target will be damaged by both types 1 and 2. Target will then will go flying backwards, doing type 2 damage to more targets that it makes contact with.

Dark Crescent

‘Dark Crescent’ MP cost increased to 300. Damage adjusted accordingly.

Ambush

Added back attack damage increase and defense ignore effect

Apollyon

Increased Apollyon’s fear absorption effect.
Each Encroaching Fear removed will increase attack 5% ~ 7%

Motion

Fixed start motion and victory motion effects not working properly

Description

Royal Guard

Oblique of Marbas

Delay wasn’t long enough that targets were escaping.
Delay time increased.
Dynamic camera adjusted to view enemies further away.

Demonic Breath

Demonic Breath starting location moved more frontwards.
Range slightly longer.

Fixed bug where there was high chance of skill being used two times in a row when pressing the skill button multiple times

Eschaton

Increasing Dungeon usage.
Range increased by 33%. Damage decrease per distance added. Maxium range and effective damage range increased.

Motion

Fixed start motion and victory motion effects not working properly

Fixed Chain skills not working properly. Skill chaining point becomes faster.

Fixed ‘Oblique of Marbas’, and ‘Fantasy Impromptu – 1st Movement’ projectiles being reflectable.

1. Fixed 190mm Carronade cannon explosion not working properly in Henir.
2. Underground Waterway’s Banthus wasn’t attacking very much and didn’t have much force. Provoked(?) to become more aggressive and cool boss.
3. Extreme Heavenly Love was affecting Ereda Island’s outcome too much. Changed so it cannot be used in Ereda Island.

1. Chemi solution deleted.
2. Fixed not being able to register Lu’s Crown(Ciel) /Assassin’s X scabbard(Ciel) in Magic Wardrobe.
3. Fixed minor text errors.

1. Fixed DE’s face accessory visuals disappearing in certain victory motions.
2. Fixed Memorize’s visual effects being visible in world map mode.
3. Fixed characters turning white in some instances when entering dungeons.
4. Minor bug fixes.
5. Fixed character disappearing when using /sit motion and F key at the same time.
6. HPs of boss and midbosses and HP of normal monsters after Velder adjusted
8. Lanox Chemi Cube level zone changed to 70~79
Cube can still be opened at level 75. Contents not changed.

    Sad when bugs are better at balancing the game than KOG themselves, huh? GM did NOT need more ****ing damage. (Especially not from Provoke of all things.)

    It’s pretty hilarious that it took KOG this long to notice such bugs with their favorite class of their favorite child…..

        Um, I’m an LK user and pretty sure LK spams Stoic more times than Elesis. And I play him just fine. And his revamp was actually quite good. Wind Slicer muahahaha. It’s weak but it does increase his total damage in a combo and could potentially kill and opponent if his/her health is low enough and you have a high add dmg. And they did improve dmg red right? it works better now.(Please correct me if I’m wrong about the dmg red part.)

          LK’s problem ever since 2nd Jobs were first released has been his non-existent catching game. The revamp has done nothing to fix that. Keep in mind that he used to do quite a bit of damage with XXX loops and Armor Break reducing a vicitm’s defense to 0.

          Chances are if you are performing “just fine” as LK, you are only playing really bad players, or you have a lag shield that protects you from everyone else’s superior catching game. LK always has been and most likely always will be (Given KOG’s reluctance to actually buff the classes that need it most, LK, DW, BM, and CN.) trash compared to most other classes. SK may have been one of the better 1st Jobs, but he got left in the dust as the advancements happened. (CR was the absolute worst class in the game. Now WS is the most broken non-Elesis class. Oh how the tables have turned…..)

          As for Elesis using Stoic – Strong less….. you cannot be ****ing serious. It’s her mana break for Arceus’ sake!

            bejeezus… can’t you just assume sometimes that someone is really good at a class and simply outplays everyone? Of course there are things wrong with the earlier classes like LK but if someone plays him long enough, hard enough, and really learns his in and outs he can certainly go toe-to-toe with others. He just needs a lot more effort

            If he really was that good and knew the game well enough, he’d know better than to spout the tired old “I’m doing well with the class, so it must be fine” ignorance. He’d know that he’d get slaughtered by a GM player of equal gear and skill if he was actually an expert instead of trying to say everything is fine.

            Even GM’s Armageddon Blade (Which most GMs don’t even get for PVP while it’s the only reason LK was ever truly feared at all.) is so blatantly superior. Even the god damn activation slash comes with a much better catch.

      I don’t know man I don’t think KOG has “favorites”. (If that’s even a thing being as the characters are just products so KOG can get money from the player base and in result the lime light of a character constantly shifts according to KOG’s or the Korean population’s desire.)

      But if that were actually true that KOG has “favorite” characters then I would say Elsword is more along the lines of being just that.

      For example, Elsword has never really seen a nerf so great that it causes most of the Elsword population to drop him as seen in most characters and jobs such as Elesis, Chung, DW, GA etc. Instead he constantly gets buffed to the point he is now one of the most used characters next to Ara and Add. I personally feel at a time Elsword did need a buff to put him on par with some characters (mainly speaking for RS) but after that point any other further buff that he received was completely uncalled for. I know somethings weren’t KOG’s intentions it was mainly the Korean population of Elsword that wanted major buffs for him but based off the nature of revamps given to Elsword I would think KOG prefers him over any other character that exists at the moment. If not Elsword definitely Ara or Add.

You mean the same Ara they intentionally left out of Elesis’ trailer when Elesis showed up out of nowhere when we were expecting her second job path, made us wait an unbelievably long time for her to finally get all three of her job paths, and just gutted the hell out of in PVE when they removed screen freezes?

        Add? You mean the punk who dies immediately after getting caught? (Meanwhile, the other classes that deal similar or higher damage output in PVP are actually tanky….. CA and WS even self-heal!)

        You cannot be ****ing serious.

        Their favorite child is Elesis. She’s even right on the top of KOG’s official blog they use for all their games. (As GM, her most broken class even!):

        And where the hell do you get the notion that Elesis was ever majorly nerfed? Stoic – Strong is still better than normal mana breaking, (Especially on CA.) it just costs as much as your average mana break now. And despite being the main thing that’s complained about, it’s far from her most broken. (Dodge & Slash doesn’t get enough credit for how cheap it truly is.) The CA damage boost nerf won’t stop her from slaughtering you either. (Or of course, killing you as soon as you try to catch her and fight back.) Not to mention GM always had higher damage output than CA, and, well, everyone else…..

          1.)When was Elsword ever rendered obselete? He’s always been used since the start of the game. And do to his revamps he’s used even more. Elesis didn’t take away any limelight from him.

          2.) What does a trailer have to do with anything? That’s irrelevant. And Elesis has nothing to do with how KOG plans things. About the removal of delay, sure it can favor Elesis but that’s because she has a quicker cast time. That also can go for LK,VP,CN, Etc… Characters that don’t take a while to set up their skills are now more preferred and advantageous due to the delay removal and vice versa. So what does Elesis have to do with that?

          3.) Add is a glass cannon so why do you think he “dies immediately after getting caught”? In order to have a certain balance with that character (as broken as you may think he is) a character that has very very high attack output and can easily do away with most characters needs to have weak defense. That’s what a glass cannon is that’s what Add is. Just because KOG made him that way doesn’t mean they don’t “favor” him.

          4.)Why do you think Elesis is on their official blog? It’s true they use her for both games (not all) because the racing game they’re making doesn’t involve Elesis or any of the cast and the other games they’ve made don’t involve Elesis either. But the reason Elesis is on their blog is because she’s the character that has been in both of KOG’s leading games Elsword and Grand Chase. So it’s more or less an advertisement thing. She’s a “trophy” to promote their two leading games if anything. Again what does that have to do with anything?

          5.) Did I ever say majorly nerfed? No. But after the s3 balance patch that changed somethings Grm that was once often used was pretty much dramatically reduced in population (I don’t need to explain those things right? You should already know what they were.) Blazing Heart before the character revamp was a dead class because she wasn’t on par with the other classes in terms of power. After she received a buff she is now on par with most classes but is still a very dead class. Stoic-Strong is now not better than normal mana breaking due to the fact it instantly knocks down so it’s almost impossible to to re-catch not to mention it costs 120mp now 20mp over that of a normal mana break. The only job of Elesis that can now abuse Stoic-Strong is CA and that’s only because it does damage with that job. Dodge&Slash so many other character’s have a similar skill that allows them to dodge a skill and then re-catch for example Shadow Strife so why is her’s exclusively cheap? Even VC’s Shadow Strife with the passive acts very similar to Elesis’ Dodge&Slash. GM has never had a higher damage output than everyone. Her regular damage output is just about as normal as any other character. When you add armor crack then sure it becomes higher. But the same thing goes for LK and Armor Break. The only class of Elesis that’s truly cheap or to be feared is CA.

            You know what’s funny? Why am I even bothering to explain anything to you anyway. Not due to the fact that everyone has their own opinions so it’s pretty much impossible to convince someone who already has their mind made up but rather I’ve seen you comment on so many other things and most if not all are just needless rants that don’t even make sense. From what I see either you fail to comprehend most things that are presented to you or you’re making judgements based off emotional reasoning instead of actual rationality. Due to how you rant I’m inclined to believe it’s more along the lines of emotional reasoning.
            >So maybe in the end it was my mistake for starting something I know I shouldn’t have gotten into. But what’s done is done now. If you must reply… I hope it’s just something that can make me think for a second.

            Why so serious. Also, LK is a dead class because 1, he has litttle to no catching abilities. 2, his damage output is eh. 3, he is slow af. 4, he has a lot of knockdown skills so it is a bit challenging to catcj and recombo. 5, he relies heavily on gear. But again, why so serious.

          I agree with endgame. Elbrat is a dead class. Also, GrM may have higher base damage but is not good in combos like CA. So CA is actually putting out more damage. And I am looking to find out 2 things….who were the 2 bad guys in the first new lanox dungeon cutscene….and will the next job change update for Lu/Ciel let the other class advance. You know how Lu turns to chillarch but ciel stays a base. That is all. Again I agree with endgame.

            Oh no. GM > CA in damage output. Especially considering her damage boost just got nerfed. (Not that it means anything for those who were already getting killed in one combo by them.)

            The main reason is that most of CA’s damage comes from skills and makes her more MP dependant, while most of GM’s damage comes from her base combo its self which gets stupid boosts thanks to passives and her debuffs. CA does damage in bursts but GM burns through your HP at a constant rate. Not to mention Mega Slash (Yes, it’s magic damage on a physical class. No it doesn’t matter after Power Break and Provoke are on you and she has Annihilation Aura. It’s going to hurt.) and War Prelude (AoE with hitstun. Good catching skill, although a bit more expensive than others for this purpose.) are the only Special Actives she even needs. This gives her much more MP to work with on top of her boosted MP generation.

            However, CA is much more noob friendly. Getting hit gives you a damage buff (In addition to an absorb damage effect that reduces the damage of even defense ignore attacks like Energy Spurt.) and Stoic – Strong takes out chunks of your opponent’s health.

            But when it comes to abusing RoF, gear scaling, etc., GM comes out ahead of CA….. and everyone else for that matter.

        Also, he hasn’t gotten an actual nerf cause the guy already sucks ass. Literally and figuratively. He so dam hard to get into cause he has outdated abilities and again he is slow af. What other class do you know of, besides RF that NEEDS GEAR AND SOCKETS….DESPERATELY? And again I say, why so serious?

    KoG seriously will never fix Elsword” Mega Slash” sparring glitch that freezes everyone.

    Kog will never fix mana goggles not working (not showing MP) since the Luciel patch.

    KoG seriously needs to increase the damage of Oblique of Marbas just by a little, i should be doing more damage with it with my +9 weapon, weak with Wind III and Ice III (I tried both).

    They should remove the 10MP consumption per 2 seconds or so on Oblique of Marbas, it uses way too much MP already. they should make ciel be like chung, because you can’t stay in seige stance forever as Ciel unlike chung. (Yes, it’s sad to say but probably Royal Guard will overshadow our once known DC because KoG isn’t creative.)

      Forgot to mention, KoG should fix LP’s sparring glitch that makes him go at like 200% movement speed after a few deaths, due to his level 55 passive.

    Ran was corrupted by the El he was spiritually linked to getting corrupted, and spread his corruption to Helputt in the same manner by corrupting his guardian stone: Okay, that makes sense.

    Karis goes around mind controlling everyone: Succubi are mind control experts. This makes perfect sense, and they didn’t even go far enough with it. WHY DIDN’T SHE MIND CONTROL PARTY MEMBERS AS A BOSS?!

    Two new random Ran clones demons show up and brainwash a mermaid. And SURPRISE! The priestess is brainwashed!: Okay, now this is just getting ****ing stupid…..

    So, remember the part where the demons have this huge ass organized army with proper military tactics, siege tanks, steroid created hulking abominations, necromancers, patron gods, and actually forced the heroes to retreat from that kingdom? KOG doesn’t. KOG thinks the demons should be people with horns and blue/grey skin with mind control powers and plans that immediately fall apart as soon as the heroes show up instead of an actual threatening army.

    Bring back the glitters god dammit. They knew how it was done.

            Willing betrayals usually don’t involve showing signs of corruption. At least not until they survive the first battle with the heroes, THEN they usually tap into demonic/darkness/whatever as a last resort.

            “It’s unlikely that Ignia is corrupted; if she was corrupted, she wouldn’t struggle getting inside the Volcano, which I assume is where the Fire Temple is, additionally, she wouldn’t have been posing a threat to any of the evil monsters there, unless they’re guardians of the Volcano entrace. In that case, then it’s possible that’s why she struggled to get to the volcano entrace.

            However, she is seen ressurecting and commanding the mobs in her boss battle, in that case does she control them because she’s the Fire Priestress or because she’s been corrupted? In either case, it shouldn’t have been a problem for her in general to get to the Volcano Entrace, unless she didn’t know where it was.

            It’s more likely that Ignia has been captured or killed, and there is an impostor who needed to get into the Volcano, where the Fire El is. Although it’s not completely impossible for Ignia to be corrupted, considering the Demon Twins did corrupt the Geyser Mermaid Queen.

            It’s also possible that Ignia’s impostor are one of the twins, if that was the case.”

            Then again, KoG is famous of inconsistent story. But I’m just pointing out that Ignia being corrupted isn’t 100% true.

            Willing betrayals don’t have to show signs of corruption. If it did, it would be foreshadowing like reading Othello. It’s made for the viewers convenience so they are hinted about something that will occur later. Right now, we won’t know if it was a betrayal or because she was simply brainwashed by the two demons. I just hope she was just brainwashed so her death, if KOG is even possible of making their characters feel sad over their actions, would trigger some feels in the cast in the future dialogue in the story line.

            I’m willing to bet that if they drop the “pair character” thing (Lu/Ciel makes me doubt it since they’re essentially Chung’s “pair” with a gimmick and no story connection.) that they WILL kill Aren/Ran. He’ll either sacrifice himself or just plain die.

            All because KOG hates Ara.

        Look at the plot of mabinogi, it stretches over a long time in the game, but it is rather good. They have side stories in the form of books you find in places or in stores that will give you backstory. In mabinogi, you feel sorry for the antagonist because he goes from hero, to antihero, to villain that was never meant to be. Sad how one of the antagonist of the players is someone who sees the darkness in humans, or that the ones they believed to be their allies were their enemies.

        …..Which is why KOG should go back to having a minimal approach to it instead of focusing more on it with pre-battle cutscenes and low budget cinematics that are barely a minute long that only serve to create more plotholes. (So we just hopped off of Wally’s ship onto Raven’s ship, right? What’s that? The new cutscene said Raven’s ship blasted Wally’s ship out of the sky with Elbrat, Aisha, and Rena still on it? So….. how’d they get onto Raven’s ship again?)
