We’re currently organizing the game scenarios and trying various things during this summer’s update so you all can understand the game’s story better. We are also considering ways to show story of Elsword outside of the game. We are open for suggestions.
Q: Is Eun Celestial Fox or Great Yokai? I think those two are very different things
A: Eun is an existence that cannot be easily comprehended by humans. The initial setting is that Ara’s goal is to return Ran back into Aren and Eun’s goal is to approach the El(Through Ara) and materialize herself.
A: But as you initially asked, it seems the descriptions do not fit together well. We’ll change her description accordingly.
Q: It seems there’s too much time difference between young Sasha and current Ara
A: It’s correct to think of it in Ara’s timeline. Official setting is that Sasha had an abnormal growth which was the result of her inheriting powers of the priestess. We’ll work harder to solve more stories inside the game.
Current Setting is that Ara joins the El-Search Party after Temple of Water and she acted independently until then. She traveled through same areas as the El-Search Party so they did come across each other before.
LN, VN, manwha, webcomic, or anime. One of few ways to show the story to a manga-style game.
I would prefer a manwha for Elsword just because it’s cheaper to manage. Not sure if they even have enough money to toss for an anime considering this is Korea and not Japan.
But anime would be nice with all the fights that happen in the game.

Nah, a manwha that actually starts and finishes from scratch.
I think anyone can know by now that they can easily change whatever portions of the story that are unclear. They didn’t do it with Grand Chase, which is entirely why the story was left incomplete and dead. Being scared to make changes now would just make story-based questions null and void.
Makes more sense for Ara’s story. Practically what KOG mentioned goes with Asura’s storyline.
So instead of just admitting that they retconned the point Ara joined the group, and that Sasha met Ran when she was a little girl was retconned as soon as they turned him into Ara’s brainwashed brother, they’re trying to work the retcons into the plot its self. (Even though the whole Ara fighting Karis at Hamel thing will no longer work since she was looking for Ran, who already fled, but the new version of the story has Ara stopping Chung from killing Ran…..)

So, did anyone REALLY have any faith in this “story revamp”? It’ll be a god damn miracle if they as much as address where Aisha is even from, what the hell Rena’s goal actually is, or anything having to do with Alex. (Did Raven sneak off during the invasion of Velder and confront him? Anything of the sort?)
We all don’t have faith. They will just throw in stuff with little-to-no-context and make up a story for it.
Like almost every character but Elesis.
rena’s goal was to prevent elves from being punted out of the mortal realm by the fading of the El’s power.
alex became irrelevant as soon as the nasods picked up raven because kog` can’t into subplots. they have enough trouble with the main plot.
I doubt even they know where aisha’s from, and they probably don’t care.
and yeah, everything from eve onwards is constantly tripping on itself because of retcons everywhere, nevermind gameplay and story segregation problems. ara suffers from it in particular. I suspect if this game attempted to be semi-coherent in plot, add would get at least one instance of SORE MO WATASHI DA!(that was also me!) in the jp version.
you really shouldn’t be suprised that they can’t be consistent or intelligent, endy. just look at the transform classes for a sec; every one of them, the story kog` gives outside the game fails to match up with the story the game gives at some point if not the entire thing. like. the TR story they gave talks about rena joining elven black ops, but when you advance to TR ingame it’s basically elder NPCs being like “hay check this sweet dagger, if you help fix up it’s magic you can have it”.
and then the story cutscenes stick everyone with their “white” class paths whether other paths make more sense or not, and completely skip first promote probably for similar laziness reasons to why you don’t get new cutins during those classes, and so on.
moreover let’s all laugh at how kog` isn’t sure what eun is any more than the playerbase is.
kog` operates in such a manner I get the feeling they have nothing but pitch men, with no actual writers or game designers. the story keeps tripping on itself, they rebalance based on popularity rather than merit, this year the skilltree system will get scrapped and replaced a second time… it’s really like they just throw ideas at a wall hoping some will stick.

I still don’t get how in the world Ara ended up in Ruben from Fahrmann though, or why she would even bother going all the way to Ruben unless she heard of demon activities there.
Though her crossing paths with the Elgang a few times before she actually joins them makes sense.(Especially in Feita, since there are demons there, and she is supposed to be tracking down her brother by tracking down demon activities.)

Wait, I just realized that they’ve created another glaring plothole with their “Sasha magically grew into a woman” explanation.
Given how Ara looks the same in ElType while Aren was still uncorrupted as she does in base, this means there had to have been a timeframe of 1-4 years for it to have been reasonable for Ara to have not aged that much since Fahrmann was invaded.
Sasha went from loli to woman in that timeframe because she was a Priestess, they say.
…..So why the hell are Anudran and Darkmoon still lolis?!
