Boss Raid Revamp & Events

June 10th, 2015 | Posted by 2nafishisgood in Korean Elsword Updates

Scared Beasts were created at the same time as when the Giant El came down to Elrios. Possessing great powers, some of these Sacred beasts blessed the land they inhabited and lived in harmony with the land. However, other Sacred beasts caused destruction throughout the lands murdering and possessing anything they desired

Incarnation of greed, the red dragon Perkisas settled down in now abandoned ancient castle grounds of Elrian have been killing and stealing treasures from the humans for a long time.

Eventually growing bored of murdering endlessly, Perkisas decides to lure in adventurers saying that he will grant his treasures and power to anyone that defeats him.

According to the legend, one who passes Perkisas’s 3 trials will obtain Perkisas’s enormous power, but no one has ever passed this trial.

For his own purposes Glave feels that he needs Elsword’s party to become stronger and leads the party to Perkisas’s ruins.

Can Elsword’s party pass red dragon Perkisas’s trials and obtain the legendary weapon?

Fought this boss, and geez he is fucking hard. He always like 1hitko’s you.

Luckily as a crap DL i have Oriax and defend from some of his attacks. Falling > instant death

I did over 5 runs and used my amnesia tickets. In total let’s just say i died over 60 times. R.I.P res stone.

Mounts are not allowed. There are little orbs scattered around the map that will allow only you to pick-up. and is given individually, these orbs are like potions and automatically heal around 100KHP and give around 99MP when touched. The boss isn’t as buggy as i expected though. Only bugs i found so far are.

    1. When you wait in the raid boss, lobby after 30 seconds you should be teleported, but in some cases you will not be teleported by glave and wait in the lobby until you exit. Fortunately you are able to re-enter if this problem happens.

2.I’ve heard some people in my guild and some koreans talking about that they cannot see the boss. (Invisible)

I’m glad though that this raid boss is not as laggy as Drabaki and is actually a tough challenge to beat. :)

The rewards are okay, From the normal boxes i’m pretty sure i got so far was: Florite scroll, New SD Dual stone cube (Random). Items don’t always drop just so you know. Also every time you kill the boss you get a chest that gives u 2 Perkisas Horns. They say here on babel it has a chance to give a weapon, but i honestly doubt it would be obtainable. (Maybe 1% LOL) I’ve opened 5 boxes and have never gotten a weapon from it. I’m pretty sure you earn up to 1 box per raid boss and can enter once per day. The raid boss is every 4 hours, as there is a timer that says so. And once the raid boss is open he is open for about 1 full hour~2 hours.

This is a very nice update indeed though, for once i find something nice that is actually challenging. With a group of people it takes around 15 minutes to kill the boss. Multiple deaths, and climbing and good prizes. :)

And i’m kinda glad mounts are not allowed. Fuck off you mount users who insta-kill raid bosses. Like the now retired Eltrion and Laggy Drabaki. :D

  • dark says:

without mount =D 99% of people go to the raid in mounts and tank it, good done kong

  • Alexias says:

This is actually a nice update. A hard raid boss like how it should be done. Can only enter once a day which makes you really prepare and plan for it, like a real raid, and the rewards are plentiful even if you rank low and is worth entering and you get an actual job in a raid that suits your class instead of trying to out-damage each other without a real plan. That and Guilds finally get an integral part in the game. What more can I say?

  • Endgame says:

I haven’t seen such an uninteresting raid boss since I raided Molten Core back in my pre-BC World of Warcraft days. Sweet Arceus that was painful to watch. And he just flies away like a little bitch at the end? What’s the matter Perkisas? Afraid Smaug’s going to show up and kick your poser ass?

All the complaints about how hard he supposedly is….. this is a new low for the Elsword community. Granted, I shouldn’t be surprised since this is the same community that insists that anyone who plays tactically instead of just rushing the opponent like a god damn idiot is a “runner” and “bad”. Yet Rune Slayer, the class that can ONLY catch people who just rush opponents like a god damn idiot is “OP”….. but seriously? Red areas telegraphing every single one of his attacks with plenty of time to dodge? Hard? How many times have you people gotten killed by that first Goomba in World 1-1? Gods this is sad.

The best part of this shitty update however, is how the reward system works. The top 1% in dealing damage get to craft their legendary weapons in 4 days while the bottom has to take around two months to get their legendary weapons? The get richer and the poor get poorer. Way to teach those Korean children how America works KOG! (And how fitting that Eve, the character most associated with the color white, is the one who has the biggest advantage with the way the raid is designed and already dominates PVE anyway. While Raven associated with Black and Elbrat associated with Red have the worst time. Bravo KOG. Bravo.)

By the way KOG, you forgot to give favorite child Elesis buffs disguised as “bug fixes” before the raid. She doesn’t fare so well in DPS races you know.

  • Shizzles says:

Does this mean there will be six more of them?

  • Endgame says:

Since KOG blatantly ripped off Smaug with Perkisas, let’s try and figure out which other Elsword characters best match the Hobbit characters!

Bilbo: Elsword. Sure, he’s not the strongest, or even the most significant member of the cast. Sure, he’s just along for the ride. But by golly, he’s the main character of the story!

Gandalf: Glave. The mysterious old wizard who wants to help the group get rid of the dragon for reasons. (Refer to the backstory of the raid.)

Thorin: Steel. The next in line of succession for leadership position of the dwarves.

Thrain: Sdeing. The dwarf father who was driven crazy. (Note: This subplot is in the extended edition of DoS, but was removed from the theatrical release.)

Legolas: Rena. Just like Legolas in the movies, Rena is pure fanservice.

Gollum/Smeagol: Fallen Chloe. Corrupted. Driven to absolute madness. Determined to hunt Elsword down, but probably won’t be seen for a long time now…..

Bard: Raven. Lost his lover, was wrongfully imprisoned. Aided the people of a burning city.

The Master of Laketown: Wally. Greedy bastard who oppressed the people but tried to flee. But escape plans didn’t end so well for him.

Sauruman (RIP Sir Christopher Lee.): Ignia. The high ranking person everyone thought was on their side who ended up betraying everyone.

Sauron: Elesis. The purest form of evil. Things were going pretty well until she decided to ruin everything…..

What? Aisha fits better because she’s also after a ring of power? Screw you!

…..Any other ideas? I’m not sure if Artea should be Radagast or Galadriel. And no, Scar cannot be Azog. Azog was a credible threat.

    • Kashi Lee says:

Your comparisons are bad and you should feel bad.

      • Anonymous says:

Especially the Elesis one. She’s not evil, and everyone knows it.

Heck, even as Crimson Avenger she’s still trying to protect innocent people (But imagine what would happen if Crimson Avenger met Lu and Ciel).

        • sshname says:

It’s a running joke that Endgame hates Elesis. Just let it happen.

          • L says:

I find it funny that Endy tends to be very bias towards Add, Elesis, and Aisha.

Did no one mention Gollum? I thought Endy was going to say Elesis was like Gollum, a crazed being, driven mad until she became the sad and pathetic thing she is today.

Dunno about Aisha or Chung. Aisha isn’t pursuing the ring of power like Sauron or Gollum. She just wants to get her powers back.

          • Endgame says:

Crimson Avenger isn’t Elesis being driven to madness by a corrupting influence, Crimson Avenger is just Elesis deciding to be forthright about being an evil bitch because she can’t pretend to be a good girl anymore now that she’s oozing with darkness.

Reminder that Luchiel just told her that bad guys can’t be reasoned with and have to be beat up. Elesis somehow took that to mean “destroy them with the power of darkness” on her own. There was always something wrong with her.

          • Anonymous says:

God dammit Endgame I know you hate Elesis but face the facts, she’s here to stay!

No amount of complaining will change that!

          • L says:

Well you can always get the players on your side and have them change games by letting them know how crappy the game is, so KOG will be forced to shut the game down for the lack of players or revenue to keep it going.

          • Alexias says:

Just wait till Seighart shows up………It’s gonna be fun……..

          • L says:

            AishaxSeighart?

          • Endgame says:

Of course not. It’s been established that EndgamexAisha is canon.

  • UNub says:

Limiting number of times to enter the raid makes it harder to memorize stuff. Those people who sucked at Raiding before, AHAHAHA good luck.

They did good holding this back to clean out bugs.

  • Malle says:

Ok so. I have sealed and distributed all my SD sets leaving the Hamel gren set for myself. I was thinking of starting on the henrir course. How do I go about doing that. Seems longer than SD and the sets all seem weaker than the SD sets in every aspect. Even without grenedized. Can anyone give me a full easiest way to go about it. I will listen to whatever anyone has to say.

    • ShadowsFortune says:

Hamel set is a very bad set when compared to others.

I recommend Velder Glitter Berserker Due to the giant pot and other effects. This set goes very well with Multi-hitter jobs such as IS, BM, NB. This set is great in PvP and PvE.

I also highly recommend the new Dragonic set due to it giving 100% crit in PvE and 20% Crit in PvP. Not to mention it also increases crit Dmg by 20% in PvP. This Set is the best set for dealing damage in PvE and PvP this set works especially well with heavy hitter classes. (IP, DL, LK, SD, etc) Especially when using hypers this has the best effect you can get and maximizes your damage to a greater potential. (I fought an IP in PvP with this set and he used Pain of Caladbolg and it 1hitko me because it did 210k DMG crit, it even has an enormously huge ass hitbox to go along with it, to secure your hits. Really good set imo.

Although i still recommend Velder for PvP due to the giant potion effect being able to be summon more often since the Dragonic set requires awakening. Velder obviously increases the size of your skills which is also a very good thing especially when the giant pot on the Velder SD set also gives 25% crit boost for 10 seconds when the giant pot effect happens.

Now about the henir set, it’s not as good due to it not having THAT great of effects when compared to SD sets, yeah sure it’s a good set but i see most people only craft the weapon due to the high attack it gives, and is probably the best weapon known besides the new legendary Perkisas weapon which is practically 7k DMG clean. Henirs set effects are not that good since they aren’t that useful it gives a few DMG boosts but what about it? I’d rather have 100% critical every time i awaken, along with a critical dmg boost.

Only thing worth about Henir is the weapon, but that weapon already takes alot of time in itself to make. New SD sets are much more worth. Just get an SD set and a henir weapon with the SD accessory for the best effects. Mech MK-4 used to be a good set for PvP and tanking, but now it’s useless due to the nerfing is recently recieved last week.

Also a 4D henir weapon is pretty strong, almost as strong as perkisas wep. Thing is that they both are very time consuming. :)

People also complained to KoG that henir took more time to make, yet it was weaker than the SD sets in comparison.

Try the idea i stated above, i use the Velder SD set on my DL and it’s a really good set. ^^

      Good luck! ^.^

  • sshname says:

So LuCiel third path and skill revamp next?

  • Cero says:

Seriously? One point per 10k damage? That means the already broken classes are gonna dominate.

Ladies and gentlemen, even more proof that the Elsword dev team does not give a shit about their older characters. Here’s a possible solution: fire the entire dev team and replace it with Warframe’s dev teams. At least they know true balancing. Two years and that game still has a great and thriving economy, their PvP is truly balanced, and the devs give the players what they want all while making tons of money.

Elsword dev team, by feeding the newer spamming classes with that ranking system, you have dissapointed me yet again. And before someone tells me to just quit the game, I write this in the hopes that someone new to the game will read it and know to quit while they’re ahead.

    • Endgame says:

Perkisas is entirely anti-Ara. (Spirit Orb generation how? Secret Arts how? He doesn’t leave himself open long enough for them in the climbing segments.) Elesis is mediocre in PVE period. Pretty sure Lu/Ciel aren’t that strong either and everyone only thinks they are because of +10 weapon videos. (In which even Code Nemesis can steamroll througn 9-6.)

The way Perkisas is set up does in fact, favor one of the old characters: Eve.

Not only because CE and CBS have high damage to begin with, Mana Conversion, have an easy time with platforming segments, crit buff, but also:

      Empress:

-Nasod Recharge. Paired up with the MP orbs laying around, she NEVER stops attacking.
      -416 MP.
-Ferdinand sticking around and able to dish out damage over time.

      Battle Seraph:

      -360 MP.
-Best mobility in the game. Good at grabbing mana orbs.
-Now this is the big one: Reactive/Fusion Mode. Homing attacks. No matter where Perkisas’ hit boxes appear, she can evade and attack at the same time. THIS is why she is the top class for this. Yeah yeah, Add has all his auto-aim skills too, but CBS still has a higher damage output. (In PVE at least.)

Poor Nemesis on the other hand….. not doing too well.

      • JustChilling says:

Nemmy not doing well…That goes with saying…where the CN love KoG.

      • Anonymous says:

Let’s not forget our lovely skill “THE GIANT DEATH TRIANGLE OF THE ILLUMINAT………….err i mean Sweep Trolling……….Rolling……that one retarded skill that does a total damage 2x that of Asura’s HA in awakening and throw in Fusion mode you can practically faceroll the platform segments as a CBS ……no the entire run just faceroll with those two skills nuff said *sips tea*
