I don’t get why everyone thinks Add is perverted.
He’s spent most of his life trapped in a library full of books about robots. I doubt he even knows what a vagina is. Let alone that babies come from them. (Hell, he didn’t even know what El is, and that’s what the entire war between humans and nasod was about. And from his time period, that was a recent thing!)
It’s clear his obsession with Eve is purely about extracting her codes. And even then he immediately loses interest as soon as he thinks he’ll get to travel through time and save his parents.
They apparently think of Add as perverted because he appears to have the intention of assaulting and touching Eve. This may be where it stems from. Add only wants her C to save his parents. But apparently, going in the past to see them alive made him go mad. Cuz there was another Add and etc. It was not the same timeline.
The thing is, we don’t know exactly if this is before they were killed or something else entirely. We just know he couldn’t accept the fact that it was different from what he imagined. He can’t exactly kill the child and replace him. We also know that if he did succeed, what about the Add we play as? Would he fade out of existence? He exists in the past, so he wouldn’t be in the game in the current era they live in. Even if he does stay in this era, his parents would still be dead. How many years into the future is this? 100 or 1000?

Actually, I was implying that Add fanboys are uneducated dolts that can’t read too well…..
Add’s a cool guy, but I feel like I’m the only person in the Elsword community who doesn’t like his ‘insanity’.
I actually wish he’d just quit obsessing about Nasods and see what else the world has to offer. I mean, I like that he’s good with Nasod tech, but he’s just… too obsessed.
As for his gameplay, while there are a few problems, he doesn’t seem outright broken to me. Yeah he has far reach and can combo like crazy, but he’s a glass cannon and isn’t perfect. You just need to figure out the patterns of the user and try to get him from above or below before he gets into your face and goes RushDown on you.
LN so nice, maybe some day Elsword will have Anime but I hope not, Game make to Anime suck alot
There are a number of ways an anime of this game could go wrong, but I hope it turns out well.
I just hope KoG doesn’t screw the animators over when they release more characters.
They might make an anime like the one for Maple Story.

Yeah it does. But it had nothing to do with the gameplay. It was about a beginner making friends with the rest of the job classes you can get at the time.
I really think they should try again now that Maple Story has an established story. (Well, there was always lore there. Even about the Black Mage. But nobody knew about it because no one did the quests back then.)
Elsword on the other hand….. I have no idea why ANYONE wants an anime adaption of that. I mean, have you already forgotten the terrible ending videos they’ve added that created even more plotholes? (How did Elbrat, Aisha, and Rena get onto Raven’s ship? Back then, we just assumed that they jumped off of Wally’s onto Raven’s. But now….. oh yeah, and how the hell did Raven get the El from Wally when he wasn’t anywhere near his ship?!)

Yes. THIS is what your Elsword anime would be like. Everyone else losing to things that we all know any one of them could slaughter in actual gameplay. (Especially after the stage revamps that nerfed Velder into the ground.) But then SUPER ACTION ELESIS comes in and saves the day!
…..Why do people want this shit again? Or do they honestly believe a video game based anime, one based off of Elsword of all things, could turn out better than that? Because let’s be honest here: Kirby was the only decent video game based anime.

I have personally compared the similar skills between Lord Knight and Grand Master as well as their stats at the same level with the same equipment and same Physical Offense Training levels and almost all of Elboy’s versions do MORE damage than Elesis’s scenerios. Infact it’s even to the point where Elesis needs HIGHER levels of Physical Offense to catch up (which is a bit easier for her but my point still stands)

I would argue that Arma Blade deals more damage upon being used, but you probably won’t listen.
How about BOTH FLAME AND TRIPLE GEYSER?! With Max hits both skills out-damage Power and Mega Burster respectively.
Or Mega Slash, which Elboy’s version not only does more damage, but is also Physical compared to Elesis’s magical version of the skill. Unlimited Blade, with all hits connecting, has more damage dealt on Elboy’s version BOTH AWAKENED AND NOT AWAKENED! Double Slash has the same damage percentage as Sword of Judgement, BUT HAS TWO EXTRA HITS ON THE SECOND SLASH! Elboy’s Sonic Blade does more damage in a single hit than Elesis’s does with two, Elboy’s Spiral Blast has a higher percentage with the same number of hits, and while Juggernaut Buster may do more damage, Whirlwind lets you move FASTER AND CATCH MORE ENEMIES!

Explosive Fist, at max hits, does more damage on Elboy, Rising Slash has the same damage percentage as Burst Rising when noted (otherwise Elesis’s is better), Sword Fire does the most total damage on Elboy, and Phantom Sword GUARANTEES the double hit compared to Brutal Cutter’s CHANCE to get it along with having more activation damage.
Sorry, I meant that Rising Slash has the same percentage of damage but more hits when noted.

Elboy’s is NOT meant to start a combo, it’s meant to END one! Because guess what, we have something called A KNOCKDOWN COUNTER! WHICH EVERY SINGLE ATTACK IN THE GAME (except skills designed to lower it) ADDS ONTO!
So yes, Elly’s Mega Slash lets you combo into it, but Elboy’s is best used at the point WHERE THE ENEMY WOULD BE KNOCKED DOWN ANYWAY! And considering Kick’s cooldown, that combo isn’t gonna be super long.

Ahh yes, the Add Online I’ve been waiting for!
All the people salty about Add when they don’t realize his story is the best out of all the characters in Elsword combined.
His personality shines more and he’s the only character that’s actually has a personality(Lunacy helps. DiE with Paranoia also helps)
But I’m use to the salt. I main Add after all ResidentSleeper
The issue I have with Add’s story is that it may be the most descriptive and actually sounds like a back story worth noting, it still falls short from what it could have been. The insanity and etc is kind of weak sauce compared to other characters with the same archetype. Although, this is a game for kids and teens, so I guess we can’t have too much for our characters.
Accelerator is a better insane character than Add right now. I really thought they would have worked more on it when DiE, but it’s still not that great when you read it.
No, Add is terrible. Granted, not as terrible as Supreme Game Hijacker Mary Sue Elesis or Ciel who’s literally a Raven clone (Same “always serious, doesn’t talk often” personality and all.) but instead of being racked with guilt over past actions, he’s a pedophile.
Add has a tragic backstory? So what? So do Raven, Eve, (The one Add wants to gut.) Chung, (You do realize that Helputt is blowing himself up at the end of Temple of Trials, right?), Ara, and Ciel.
The difference is though, Add loses all sympathy because he uses his past as an excuse to be an asshole. His entire goal is to kidnap and cut apart Eve just to get some codes, or, if he goes DE, destroy all existence. Just because he couldn’t salvage his own wretched life and is seemingly unable to, you know, start over and pursue a different hobby.
He’s generic edgelord trash as LP/MM, and is the embodiment of everything wrong with edgelord trash as DE. He is iredeemable human trash made to appeal to iredeemable human trash.
We always seem to have an asshole who uses his past as an excuse. Sasuke was one of them.
He’s an asshole? That’s great! Y’know why? Because the story NEEDS an asshole. I hate the generic goody-two shoes always doing the right thing and I can’t put enough quotes around “Anti-Hero” so I won’t even try. I really like when we get to play as someone who is truly evil and doesn’t show sympathy. If Add didn’t go insane, he would be another boring Raven-like character.
Also, even if it’s just fiction, unless you were a sociopath you wouldn’t just let go of the fact that your parents died and that you were suddenly a slave. If Add had therapy and people to talk to then I would understand and then yes Add would be 1000% edgelord. But he never had any help, he got trapped in a library for years and all he knew about were nasods. Maybe you should do more reaserch on PTSD and what it does to a person instead of thinking you can go from witnessing death to finding a new hobby in the flick of a switch. Not saying Add isn’t a badly written character, in fact, I think his backstory is brushed over too many times and they focus more on his insanity than his actual trauma. But a fact is still a fact and I’d rather had a badly written Add than a ridiculusly badly written one with a stupid asspull where “suddenly Add decided to find a new hobby”
This is just an assumption but I think you just hate Add and all Add fans cuz he wants to kill Eve. I’ll have you know that Eve is my favourite female character and knowing that her life is in danger is awesome. No popular character should ever be completly 100% safe and happy just to satisfy the fanbase. I don’t even ship AddxEve, I’d rather see Add literally take her apart and kill her.
But the game already had assholes. LOTS of them.
First, there’s this guy named Wally. That guy was definitely an asshole.
Oh, and Kayak. Guy just wanted to shit all over everything with a reanimated dragon. Dragons are serious business. Bethma would have been reduced to ash in a day.
Oh, and then there’s these demon invaders that are showing up and indiscriminately killing everyone in sight, some are even brainwashing humans into killing everyone they’ve ever loved and known except their lone sisters that managed to survive….. Scar even tried to resurrect a demon god just for the purpose of killing everyone in Elrios for no reason!
The Smaug wannabe sounds like quite an asshole too based off of his backstory.
So WHY do we need an even bigger asshole than all those guys joining the group and plotting to kidnap one of the people who are helping defend the world from all the other assholes, just so he can….. what? What is he going to try to do with those codes? Try to do what Wally did and build a nasod army? He’s just unnecessary.
And the reason I hate Add is that he is pure uninspired trash. In terms of game design, (He branched out from stealing Eve’s skills to just plain stealing everyone’s skills with each new job path. Even Elesis at least had a few original skills that aren’t variations of already existing skills. and MM copied one of them!) and character design. (“LOOK HOW EDGY I AM! AREN’T I COOL?!”)
There isn’t a single redeeming quality about him. He’s made purely to pander to angsty pre-pubescent teenagers, and….. there’s already characters that appeal to that demographic while also appealing to others. Like Reckless Fist who also appeals to the girls who are into “bad boys”. Add does not appeal to them because he seems like a rapist. (It’s that stupid smile he always has, mostly.) Girls do not like rapists.
I never got the ‘rapist’ vibe from him, to be honest.
Also he’s needed because those ‘jerks’ are flat out villians. Add, on the other hand, is working with the good guys, but doesn’t have very good intentions himself. He’s the one thing keeping the story from being a blatant good-versus-evil scenario, as he’s the only one fighting the demons WITHOUT the intention of saving the world.

As for me, what I do not like is that it focuses more on the trauma and it feels like they are using it as an excuse for his behavior instead of focusing on his insanity. When I look at him, he doesn’t seem as insane as he appears, just very loud and shouts like teens.
