      Because there’s nothing to touch. If it’s not balanced once pvp starts, then they’ll probably do something about it.

      I could’ve sworn Generate Black Hole was bugged and did awaken damage + normal damage when you used it in awakening.

      If they hotfixed it, then it obviously won’t be in the overall patch notes (KR mentions things in separate notes). It’s the same with Raven’s Shadow Step having no CD when changed to [True], I have seen no notes so far out of the bigger ones that specifically state it being fixed even though it was.

      But hey, screw logic. Let’s go with the uneducated approach and keep insulting KOG for not doing their job.

      Why didn’t they make deadly shot pierce everything by the way? Seems like a glaringly obvious property of such a skill…

    KOG sure is loving PiKA’s art.

    I’m not sure why KOG insists on Deadly Shot being a thing. It already did 3k% at max range, buffing it any more is just assisting those people who use it at really close distances.

      due to their distance debuff effect, there’s little to no point using stuff affected by it from far away.

      i’m amazed guide arrow and magic missle doesn’t seem too affected. but stuff like phantom seeker, flick shot, and blaze wing got nerfed so hard by it that they’re pretty much reduced to attention getting moves

      and yet they never thought to distance nerf anything within a combo…

      the lose effect over time on buffs also seems like a load of crap, feeling like it’s not even there. but maybe that’s just me

        By buffs you mean Auras, right? Or do you mean something else?

          auras mainly, but some moves like necromancy and war prelude may count too since they give bonuses to alies to.

          if they’re hit with the “weaken over time” effect like auras, then something like shining body or wonder wall won’t stay at full effect over the course of the duration

            Weaken over time? I’m pretty sure that they’re just timed, not getting weaker as time passes.

            around the time KOG tossed in effects that weakened attacks that travel distances, they added another making buffs lose effect over time (for example, strength aura could give 16% more for 60 secs but would reduce to 8% after 30 secs, slowly crawling back to your usual physical attack over it’s duration).

            it was in previous notes but it doesn’t seem to be effective at all.

            maybe it’s just me but my DW’s attacks and VP’s attacks never seem to weaken unless the buff fully wears off. i’m wondering if KOG ever did implement that (would be pointless if they did though)

            I just looked in the previous patch notes on Babel and found no mention of it.

            Was it something that 2nafish missed, or are you just remembering wrong?

            it’s a really old patch that hit NA around the time of the Battle Superstars update. any moves covering long distance got nerfed some way and buffs deteriorate over their duration (at least the aurs do. not sure if other buffs do as well)

            you may have to look deep cause that was around half a year ago for KR

            I must have misunderstood, I thought you mean last week’s patch notes.

        You seem to believe all ranged skills and all buffs were affected by that nerf, which isn’t the case. For example, Shooting Star and Guide Arrow do not have a range penalty, while Eschaton and Blaze Wing do. Magic Missile used to have the penalty, but it was removed in the revamp.

        You can tell which skill does or does not have the penalty by checking the damage percentage. If it’s something like 100%~30% (written like that, with the left number higher than the right), then it has the penalty. There are two skills which work in reverse, as in, they get stronger the longer they travel. One of these was removed (Atomic Blaster – Sonic Gun), but Deadly Shot also functions like that. There it’s written as for example 30%~100%. So if you do want to use Deadly Shot, always do so from far away to get the most out of it. The buff mainly helps it actually be worth using, since even Bullet Blitz is a better 100 MP now.

        The only Auras that lost effectiveness over time were Acceleration and Aerelinna – Sylph, but they don’t anymore now.

          that explains a few things (plus the last version of the accel aura was only a move speed boost with good sockets anyway) i’ve also noticed some moves like panzer buster and phantom seeker got hit with distance nerf too (and don’t even use add).

          but seeker moves like phantom seeker, blaze wing and flick shot (if the AI DOESN’T FUCK UP!) still has some use as they get mob attention (and you wanna group stuff anyway)

          but watch revamps boost these skills cause KOG seems like they want every class to dish out more damage. EVERY class got either a better MP gain method, more attack power (some by raw stats themselves), or even both. and NA recently got a defense stat nerf but gained the auto party buff too, meaning KOG wants defense to seem less useful. if i’m right, S4 PvP will have mods like S1, or make red dam even more useless.

          besides, quite a few skills get the defense ignore option anyway (DW’s Impact Hammer surprisingly got it)

    Wondering why they didn’t touch Black Hole. Especially considering Final Strike, which works EXACLTY the same way, but with 1/5’s of the hitbox, suction and tickle damage in comparison to the broken thing that is Black Hole and especially considering the ease with which a CN can get the resources to use it.

        when it hits NA, it’ll be worse. most of NA PvP tries to be trolls as is… glad DW got much more MP gain (and easier makeup access) so mine can manabreak more often…

        gotta live to fight at another point after all, and i’ll abuse the crap out things to “troll the trolls”

          Besides, I think people only pvp now for those NPC titles, can’t say much about being competitive.

            i’ll still do it to a certain point. going against lower ranks (S and below), i feel like the troll cause they’re either predictable, suck at abusing mechanics, or have no sockets/gear.

            once i get SSS, i’m done cause that’s where PvP will have migraine inducing players

      But they DON’T work the same way. Not completely, anyway.

      Elsword slashes in front of him, which does damage and gravitates enemies in, and then does another slash which makes the black hole explode. Elwiki says that they also take damage when in the black hole, but I haven’t seen it yet. All the damage it does is Physical.

      Eve’s just sucks in enemies and then explodes, unless it’s used in Awakening and then the black hole does damage. All the damage it does is Magical.

      See the difference?

        I’d say those are semntics really. Black hole, sucktion, damage. Thats how both skills work in general. Yet one sucktion is infinitely smaller than the other and ironiclly that one has crap damage in comparison as well. If anything Final strike should have MORE damage as it has LESS utility, but nope.

        sure you can manabreak off a lot of single hit moves, but you still get the major HP drop to go with it

      Changes like that are geared towards PvP, not PvE. The point in PvE is to avoid getting hit altogether, since every attack is easily telegraphed to the point that you should be able to go into I-frames with a potion and Special Active if absolutely necessary.
      In PvP, however, just having NF orbs made her far tankier than she needed to be. And with KoG’s recent focus on quick, combo-oriented battles in PvP, that’s something that absolutely had to go.

      Overall very happy with both the Masquarade set and the butterfly dream set which looks quite decent for a cash shop set.

        butterfly dream seems more for the girls (the guys outfits suck to me). this also applies to cut-ins

        but my god… everyone (except add in my opinion) looks epic in masquerade sets

          Yeah, I have noticed that most, if not all, of the classes so far have been buffed, but I’ve also noticed that quite a bit of Elly’s current skills have a lower damage percentage than Elboy’s versions of the skill in-game. I guess they make up for it with some kind of gimmick, like Elly’s Sonic Blade being usable in the air, or Power Break also reducing element resistances.

          I just wish Endgame would stop being so ignorant. I mean, he ignored my ENTIRE list of skills that I think are better on Elboy just because “Elesis’s Mega Slash doesn’t knock down” And in my list I actually included some skills that have less damage but a better overall execution, like Windmill.

            plus, just how does a nerf mean more raw attack power and more MP gain? at the very least, DW now has the easiest tools to get away seeing that she can manabreak faster and teleport spam more, and this is w/o makeup. w/ makeup turns that up to 11 and then some.

            plus, her staff hits are doing around the same damage as a WS (staff hits also seem to have more hitstun too). she’s got tools to at least do something in PvP now…

          I’m kind of wondering how opponents would more easily get around VP’s seeming effortlessly accessible (due to mana-charging) Super Armor with its long duration, compared to getting around anything DW could dish out.
