o.O so they elswordifed her plot

  • awsed says:

“the lady of EL is a human vessel that has inherited the godess’ (ishmael) power” so elesis was indeed for a moment the lady of el? so endgame was right, a lot of people should try to beg for his forgiveness then~

  • Endgame says:

    “Mr. Elsword’s group”.

I love how they keep on trying to pretend Elsword is important, only for him to be useless and for Big Sis to end up saving the day whenever something major happens in the story.

Seriously. The most screentime he had in the area end cutscenes was in Velder’s, when he was getting punched in the face by glitters…..

    • MagicSpice says:

you forgot he was the ONLY playable character in the henir intro vid

      • The Laughing Man says:

I honestly give no fucks who is wrong or who is right. By the end of the day story in this game is like swiss cheese. See those holes in the cheese? That’s the non existent plot and since adding new characters forced changes in that plot with retcon after retcon. There’s now new holes to where the solid wall of cheese is supposed to be.

      • JOHN CENAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA says:

Except in the Henir intro, the only way of making Elsword look any good is to get rid of every other char that could outshine him and take the spotlight

        • Endgame says:

Even the Henir intro made him look bad since he had a little trouble with Chloe.

Chloe who big sis nuked as soon as she appeared. (Only for her to somehow survive with her nipples rotting off. Eh, at least there’s finally AN explanation for why Chloe’s like that. Beforehand, she jumped away and sent Dark Nephilim at us and then suddenly she’s Wind Sneaker with chest rot.)

Chloe who killed more in the Feita ending alone than she ever has as a boss.

Chloe who….. say, what ever happened to her? Does KOG remember that she’s still alive? Or that Velder is still under demon occupation? (Unless killing Scar somehow magically killed the glitter army, which Scar really should have asked assistance from. Why not get the one demon army that actually WON to help you with your oh so important god summoning ritual?)

…..You can really see how dramatically the tone suddenly shifted when the new team took over after Velder. The demons went from fighting like a competent army with necromancers, siege tanks, and alchemists to being a bunch of monsters that attack with more primitive methods. And they most certainly haven’t scored a victory since Velder.

Hell, Fahrmann which was destroyed was shown to be a glitter invasion in ElType. And even Feita is in a much worse state when the Elgang first shows up than Hamel, Sander, or Lanox.

        • Flare Kyn says:

Except he’s going against TWO CHLOES YOU MORON!!

HE’S DOING A LOT BETTER IN THE HENIR INTRO THAN HE WAS IN VELDER’S CLEAR VIDEO! PLUS HE ACTUALLY BEAT THEM, AS HE HAD TO IN ORDER TO GET TO THE LATER STAGES!

    • agatsuma says:

I believe Elsword is the most important one.The plot can’t start without him.A boy who is willing to die for his companions is useless,I don’t think so.

      • Endgame says:

Elbrat would have been a stain on the ground if Aisha didn’t come to save his ass from Berthe, then Rena would have had to chase after Banthus alone. (Without the awareness that Berthe took off with one of the two Els. Does the new story even acknowledge that there are two Els? The new story definitely makes Rena incompetent, shooting Banthus down but then he takes off with the El anyway when she had the chance to kill him.)

Aisha is the true hero of Elsword.

        • L says:

I disagree. Elsword would have been useless whether or not Aisha attempted to help him. The characters are designed in a certain way to fit tropes and archetypes. So that they are easy to recognize by their target demographic. Which really pissed me off when they made them tropes first and characters second.

        • agatsuma says:

The story is boring If the protagonist is very strong at the beginning.Elsword’s path of growth is the main line of the story,he finally defeated the Berthe to save Aisha who once saved his life in infinity sowrd’s comic. He is not the strongest, but he’s a very important part of the story,he’s also important for Aisha.

  • nope says:

    RIP lore.
Oh wait… there isn’t any lore since the beginning.

    • MagicSpice says:

KOG has no idea where to take the story at this point… i’ve seen more retcons here than anything else with a story…

which also makes you wonder how rose’s storyline will get mixed, cause i can see another retcon forming off that

    • Gameboy224 says:

Actually, none of this contradicts anything established, well at least anything post story revamp.

Ishmael and Elrians were both mentioned in the history notes prior to Atlas.

From what I gather Rose’s place is pretty insignificant and doesn’t really add or detract from anything established. As in she’s just kinda there and investigating the same potential cataclysm our current gang is investigating in terms of her place in the story.

      • Endgame says:

But the whole Elrians + Devrians thing IS a retcon. They changed what was a war between humans and nasod over resources to….. a battle between a faction of magical humans and a faction of humans with robots over….. something.

And now there’s a living, more advanced Nasod civilization than the one Eve lived in. And Solace is suddenly the bad guy for no reason. Right.

        • Gameboy224 says:

No that still happened. The Elrian and Devrian were before that. Devrian’s created the Nasods. They decided they build the City in the Sky but that is a separate incident than the struggle for resources that would happen back in Elrios.

The the war between Nasods and Humans was still a battle for resources but at that point many Devrians had already left and found Elysion. At that time is seemed the remaining Nasods were existing in their own society.

Given Elysion exists in an entirely different dimension and appears to have seperated itself from Elrios even finding alternative means for power, that being the Decion Cubes. It is unlikely that had too much a part in the war between Nasods and Humans.

        • Gameboy224 says:

Oops forgot to put this in my previous comment.

Solace had always been a sort of out there character. Even in the lore we got a long time ago it stated that Solace was the one who abducted the El Lady which would later cause the El Explosion. It was said he did it out of pity for the El Lady but truth behind Solace is still something surrounded in mystery.

Even now we don’t exactly know his intents or motives. Our IB set of Solace might’ve even been a hint since it harbors a very dark appearance being themed after an eclipsed sun.

  • ElmntNinja says:

So Rose just accepts the task without any second thought?

  • NekoMeow says:

    I’m utterly confused…. Isn’t Ignia a traitor priestess? ._.

    • xDarkBirbx says:

In the new story, Ignia appears halfway through Grand Chasm, dragging the three missing priestesses and yelling at the Elgang to basically GET OUT BEFORE THIS ENTIRE PLACE COLLAPSES FFS ALL YOU INCOMPETENT-

    • iAllukario says:

Ignia is actually brainwashed by Scar, and got back to normal after he was defeated, so yeah.

  • Akihira says:

HNNNNNNGGG THAAT ART OMG SO HYPEE <33
