They have to keep it in non-KR versions at least as their excuse to keep the Stamina system in place even though no other kMMOs have their Stamina systems when released internationally anymore.
Never understood the stamina system. I could understand it if it was for profit but you can’t buy more stamina potions in the Item Mall and no one really uses up all their stamina. People who want to make a new character and fly through story line would need the stamina potions. Raids take no stamina, Henir takes no stamina, PvP takes no stamina, SD’s take stamina but no one does more than the dailies except if you are grinding for pieces or stones.
I’m starting to think this system was to combat “No-Lifer’s” so they won’t waste their life away on a game. But then again it’s really hard to drain stamina.

The Korean government mandated that all MMOs must have some kind of restriction system. Hence, why stamina systems in grindfest kMMOs are a thing.
In a sense, it IS about combating “no lifers”. But the thing is….. KR Elsword has tons of loopholes. So really, it impacts the non-Korean grinders without even touching the Korean grinders.
And it’s very easy to run out of Stamina. There’s Sander and Lanox stages that take a whopping 12% per run.
It gets even dumber when we have stages like 8-6 where enemies that consume Stamina spawn from things like tentacles and Crimson Eggs so you have to kill them quickly or else you use more Stamina and possibly lose out on a run for that day when you get into bad parties…..
Endgame is right on this point, its an anti-no-life system, forcing the hands of people to care for their children and not let them die while playing video games. yes this has been documented to have happened. as fucked up as it is, he is also right, there ARE ways around it, but its mainly things like cafe’s where you can be forced to be checked on, and coerced to eat and not starve to death. People playing till they die has also been documented to have happened in real life. So as you can see, stamina is required on KR, as well as RNG values of gaptcha systems (Ice Burner/Fossil Readers in this game) so people do not spend whole paychecks on that and not food, which is also why drop values are required on asian servers typically. Iirc (if i remeember correctly)12% chance of ice burner avatar’s on KR. NA values undisclosed, from my burning records its about 1:24 or ~4% chance on NA.
Yeah But there are so many ways to get stamina potions that this isn’t even an issue. I literally have 1k stamina potions saved up from all the events and just by playing for all these years.
I’ve actually rarely run out of stamina on the NA server, but not because of Stamina Potions. Infact, when I do use Stamina Potions, I actually TRY to use all my stamina.
The reason I rarely run out is because I only go so far each day. After all, why try to cap out in one day if there’s no major consequences for doing it through the span of multiple days?
I think a stamina system is very good for public health safety. Honestly I am not the kind of person who spends more than 3 hours playing video games ever, so it really surprises me that there are people who spend their entire day online. It is more like how well people can exercise self-control and take on responsibilities rather that wither away in a video game. When I was little, I played some cheap Chinese online game that only allows a player to log on for around 3-5 hours (it was around that range, but I forgot the exact time) and servers are closed after midnight. Then, it will either log you off automatically or not let you log on at all. I think that is a very good way to raise public safety concerns.
Of course I am well aware of the loopholes like creating separate accounts. It just eventually comes down to our discipline and how well we can restrain ourselves.
