Because I’m too lazy to make one from scratch

1.What is a  Hero Dungeon?

It’s new content that came out recently, made for players who are tired of

Normal dungeons that no one ever looks at again after level capping unless you are going for titles.

Secret Dungeons, Henir’s Time and space that’s been recycled over and over again for last 6 years.

Hero dungeons are written as ‘new hardcore content made for players mentioned above’

and  read as ‘recycled normal dungeons with only increased difficulties’

2.How to enter

web_2009425921_d6558e19

Entry conditions for Hero dungeons is:

level 80 or higher, Average Item Level 150 or higher.

It consumes 1 entry tickets every time you enter.

Normally, entry tickets are either obtained from events or dropped from mobs in Normal Dungeons, Secret Dungeons and Henir.

Drop rates for tickets are Henir>Secret Dungeon>Normal Dungeon with Henir having the highest ticket drop rate.

Tickets drop from Normal dungeons even if you are running dungeons not within your level range.

Tickets that are dropped cannot be traded but can be moved to Account storage(bank.)

3.Things to watch out for during gameplay

After entering a Hero dungeon after fulfilling the entry requirements

You will be greeted by enemies that has much more defense, damage, speed than regular dungeons.

They also have almost 500 element resistance so element related skills are almost pointless.

2009425921_4b7a0aea

Each players can only use up to 3 resurrection stones in the Hero Dungeons. Dying any more than this will result in game over for you.

If you are in a party and ended up using all your resurrection stones,

Unless someone else uses their own precious resurrection stones to revive you,

You’ll have to spectate the survivors until the boss is defeated while eating popcorn.

In Hero dungeons, there are special monsters that have elixir buffs.

They have the elixir buffs as if normal players were using them.

These guys are really strong

2009425921_55b753a0

And you have to especially watch out to not approach these blazing bomb, denif, and rosso mobs.

Rosso could be easy to see but denip might not be too easy because of its white color and blazing bomb could drop a fireball in unexpected times so try to keep an eye out for those.

If you want to face these mobs more safely, you can go to an alchemist npc

to raise your water, fire resistances much as you can.

Defeating these elixir mobs will

2009425921_f0723791

give you the effects that those mobs had for 30 seconds like this.

And from time to time there’s a yellow mana eater monster called Wurmph that appears.

2009425921_720caf3c

If you defeat it, this kind of display appears on the center of the screen.

2009425921_5df13eff

Defeating Wurmphs will grant you (and party) one of following buffs for 10 seconds.

Infinite HP/ Infinite MP / All Monsters freeze / All skill cooldown 0 seconds(except HA)

Finally, each attacks from mini bosses and bosses are lethal so you have to always be careful and be careful again.

To sum it up in one sentence, They hurt aaaaalooot so don’t come to Hero dungeons if you’re scared or try to go for 1 player random matching buff.

4.Daily Quest, Rewards

2009425921_42c8f1ac

Hero dungeon mobs have a certain chance of dropping Trophy Shard, Sage Magic stone, Wedges

and bosses have a low chance of dropping Savior’s gears. Not all bosses drop weapons just like the screenshot.

Gear drops are as follows:

Each Town’s 1st, 2nd dungeons: Savior’s Bottom, Shoes

Each Town’s 3rd, 4th dungeons: Savior’s Top, Gloves

Each Town’s 5th dungeons: Savior’s Top, Bottom

Each Town’s Final dungeons: Savior’s Weapon

Trophy Shards can be traded into gears from Glave from ‘Trade(트레이드)’ menu.

1000 Shards = Weapon

500 Shards = Top

450 Shards = Bottom

400 Shards = Gloves

350 Shards = Shoes

Upon Trade, you can randomly obtain either Savior’s (Unique) or Guardian’s (Elite) gears and both Unique and Elite gears can be sealed with stamps once.

At the moment, there are no ways to upgrade gears from Elite to Unique.

Here’s the set effect

[Set Effect]

-2ea

All Resist +50 ( Unique +75)

-3ea

100 MP special Active damage +5%(Unique +10% )

-4ea

200 MP special Active damage +5%(Unique +10%)

-5ea

300 MP special Active damage +5%(Unique +10%)

2009425921_d24b0a7f

Mysteriously, each Hero dungeon gears have a random Fixed Stat Effects(Top screenshot Orange texts)

(Translation:

[Fixed Effect]

300 MP skill cooldown time -7% (Max 20%) (dungeon)

Luna Blade Damage Increase +3%

Movement +813

Jump +813

[Random Effect]

Maximize +474

)

Don’t make a mistake thinking that using Scrolls will change the top effects as well

Using scrolls will only change the [Random Effect] at the bottom.

[Fixed Effect] that are random upon identification are those in orange texts

First orange line stat can be various random effects that are gear part specific or not

Of course, they don’t give fixed amount of stats as well.

People with even less life than the author will probably list all these effects in more detail after couple days. Look at those instead.

Second orange line stat will give you a damage increase stat of any random skill that currently exists(regardless of player’s character)

It’s not that Luna Blade in the screenshot turns into some other skill if you looked at it with some other character. You will still see Luna Blade even if it was some other character.

Amount of stat is fixed to 3% for Top Bottom Glove Shoes and 5% for Weapons

Summing it up into one sentence, It’s a bi*** trying to get the Effects you want

On a side note, for players that don’t intent on getting Hero Gears but has excess Trophy shards,

They can craft gloves and sell them for a lot if they get Savior with good stats. Of course, gg if you don’t get good stats.

Finally, Daily Quest

2009425921_737bdbd7

Hero dungeon daily quests: You have to clear three hero dungeons that change randomly each day.

(The screenshot says:

Clear Spiral Corridor(Hero Dungeon) 0/1

Clear Hope Bridge(Hero Dungeon) 0/1

Clear Sunken Resiam(Hero Dungeon) 0/1 )

The Reward Trophy Box contents are as follows

Random Chance of one of the following:

Hero – Guardian’s Gear(Elite) x1

Hero – Savior’s Gear(Elite) x1

Hero’s Trophy Shards x10

Blessed Enhancement Stones Armor or Wep x10

Sage Magic Stone x1

Vigor Potion x2

Complete Recovery Potion x2

Either Wedges x1

Either Wedge material x3

3 Line Summary

I bet you Eve’s breasts that Elsword will close down

by the time you run that many Hero dungeons

and finally get the gear effects that you want

DFO has a similar system with RNGesus screwing people over. If we could get an item to reset the option to also drop out of RNG chance, it’d make this system more viable.

Have fun farming for your gear for 6+ months.

  • Endgame says:

Ah yes, the same random bonus bullshit that made those GoD Season 3 accessories not worth it.

…..Did KOG not learn their lesson from that?

What am I saying? Of course they didn’t! It’s KOG!

  • Coldhearted Dropkick says:

Basicalyl they ripped themselves off with Grand Chase’ Hero system, and some nexon games, but just made a ‘new’ armor that is basically like the cube unique armor sets
while recycling the same goddam dungeons all over again, and made the mob so dam hard to kill that Add’s balance breaking power can almost be justified

    Genius.
Now they can delay Atlas +Elyrios,Lanox SD, pvp character balance, the WS-Aisha-CA revamp+add nerfs that will come when Grand Chase ever reboots

    • MagicSpice says:

add’s a balance breaker in PvP… PvE, you have to watch or his HP drops like a rock…

hero mode is gonna be more suited to distance attackers like GA and DC cause they can stay out of the range of most hits. hell, super armor may not help cause you’ll get whacked for at least 1/4th of your HP for every hit you take anyway

but honestly, ripoff or not, this is possibly the best post-game content we’ll get from KOG… I don’t expect any better, only worse…

      • Coldhearted Dropkick says:

Yeah, cause they’re clearly running out of ideas at this point, like how they did with GC before…..
(excluding story mode region additions, since that’s easier). Btw I hate DiE’s >>^ZX ball spam thingy, it’s so goddam annoying…..

I somehow feel a second wave of GC shutdown nostalgia at this point, but at same time I get the feeling Elsword wont close even when it becomes sh*ttier than it already is since people poured way more money into this game than GC (i think)

        • MagicSpice says:

it’s cause too many are busy trying to net the godly +12’s (which will likely get overshadowed by +13 soon), Rings of Fury, and trying to fund their broken adds and luciels….

and given hero dungeon’s MASSIVE boost to mob stats, having +12 really doesn’t sound like a bad idea now, given the damage you need to deal is absurd

        • Endgame says:

The thing about GC is that it still had plenty of life left. (See: Long Live the Chase.) KOG was the one who decided to pull the plug because they wanted to make that shitty Aima game that I never see anyone else talk about. Ever. I’m pretty sure I’m the only westerner that even remembers it exists and it only appeared in Gamenote’s rankings like, once. (And I’m not sure how reliable Gamenote can be considered. Not only did Maple Story 2 and Hearthstone show up on the list before they were even released, but Grand Chase has sat at #49 for months now…..)

And to my knowledge, GC NEVER royally pissed off the playerbase the same way Elsword did with the ST Revamp or Rose. Nor did KOG whip out the overly generous events until after they announced the shutdown.

…..I doubt KOG will let Elsword go as quickly, since it’s their only source of income at this point. Aima has got to be a toxic asset and who knows how much developing this Ultimate Race game that’ll never get a publisher is costing them? Probably not KOG.

  • some1 is more annoying than Endgame says:

Do Eve have breasts to bet on? /slapped

    • Endgame says:

Maybe Eve did have breasts, but the guy lost the bet as the RNG was kind enough to someone to actually get him/her the bonuses s/he wanted before Elsword shut down. And thus, the Bet Gods reached through time and space to take Eve’s breasts away from day one.

      …..

Or she could just use a machine to steal Rena’s breasts. I’ve seen it happen in fanart.

  • Rokujou says:

RNG to craft between Elite and Unique
RNG to craft with decent 1st random Fixed Stat Effect with no way to reidentify
RNG to craft with decent 2nd random Fixed Stat Effect with no way to reidentify

    Brilliant

    • MagicSpice says:

it’s cause KOG thinks playing the lottery is fun…

maybe that’s why we can’t get better content.. they blow some money they make on trying to win more money?

  • Supreme Armor Mob says:

    Dammit.
At this point KOG is such a capitalist system. Only the ones with great stats and +12 (so dam common in KR and easier to get in events)
will be able to do this

  • Nova says:

So more gear grinding? Man, and I’m already happy that I can consider a character ‘done’ just by capping them and getting a full Grendized set for them.

    • MagicSpice says:

hence why i’m fine with my raid weapon and sand blast set….

the weapon is +10 and the armor is +9… i’m not doing gear grind again til level 90, even then i’ll keep the raid weapon whether it’s upgraded with the levels or not

  • FaceDesk says:

    yeh im not doing these……

    • MagicSpice says:

I’ll play the stages for fun (they do drop some useful stuff like sage stones)

I enjoy challenges and this actually looks like one. won’t have to remove my weapon if I feel like i’m killing stuff too fast

  • Malle says:

I’m not quite understanding why people are mad. Is there something I’m not seeing? From what I can tell they are realeasing the solid version of the hero mode. You can get random buffs that let you fight without worrying about getting hurt by effects. What’s the problem? What am I missing? This seems pretty fun to me…O_O?

    • Supreme Armor Mob says:

I guess you’re er…not sick of reptition from KOG huh?
Some reasons to list why poeple are complainng
-it’s gear grinding for a set that’s potentially weaker or stronger than grendized sets
-it’s a rather cheap set effect for a set that has permanent RNG and only Skill damage slight increase (unless unique grade)
-it’s a way that kog can use as excuse to not release Atlas region dungeons and Lanox SD sooner
-because of directly above reason, almost feels like a
-it’s copying yet another concept from their other KOG games that had the concept before (Ex: GrandChase’ Champion Mode)
-the materials needed for the set are as or more tedious as/than SD, prolly Henrir level of pain in the arse, tho maybe not as time consuming? Depednds on how you look at it.
-for the now reduced population of players who main the neglected, in need of buffed balance classes (WS, CA, Aisha, etc), this is just another excuse to buy time and put off such revamps
      -it’s reptition
-it’s unoriginal, almost as if SD ver of regular dungeons, cause you have to have ‘passes’ items to enter the dungeons…just like grand chase champion tickets…..
-it’s kog (post grand chase era and in the add era)
-it’s bad timing in all honestly, when everyone’s expecting other things like expansion of Atlas story region, and character revamp demand (for the weak classes), and the balance needed for Rose(s) in pvp

But i think that if you wanted to enjoy previous region dungeons but were too high level before, this may be good chance. but honestly after grinding and level up so many charas on the same path over and over again, i tend to get sick of it. I also wish they release this a long time ago instead of now

      • Supreme Armor Mob says:

-because of directly above reason, almost feels like a
^^; cancel that part out, that’ was excessive

      • Malle says:

Just sounds like ya just hating. If Nexon has done this in other games then why is it a surprise now? It’s not really a huge impact on the game…gear that almost no one is going to waste their time in getting? Oh woopdie doo! Postpone Atlas? Ok I can see that but c’mon now, we ALL know they were going to do that anyways. Postponing needed revamps? Haha that’s funny because it’s like your asking for Nexon to make a change that will yet again damage the game. Guys you really need to think about what you’re asking for. V_V

    • some1 is more annoying than Endgame says:

The better question is “how you could find this content fun?”
You need 150 power level (140 now due to the event but will reverse back to 150 soon enough). This means +9 weapon minimal just to enter hero dungeons in addition to pots and +8 4-piece gears. It is clearly the most extreme pay-to-play content KoG ever did. Everyone just spams pots and skills. If you like repetitive, less-
rewarding and punishing pve then you may find it fun.

  • Magdain says:

im still heavily looking forward to it, i enjoy playing dungeons. so i will continue to play them, and with this added, i will grind for it’s gear, i see it as being more useful than Henir to be honest.
