Any details about first patch of October?

El Resonance is planned for this week’s patch and new [Enhanced] skills are in preparation.

Will 1~3D Henir gears be bank-sharable?

They are planned to be bank-shareable.

Do you have intentions to revamp Henir materials?

We plan to increase the drop rate for Henir materials so the time it takes to craft Henir gears is decreased.

How is story written?

It follows a larger flow based on existing works and this gets materialized into a content.

How are avatars designed?

We choose a theme then the art team has a discussion about it. Once we decided that the theme is acceptable, we start working on it using the theme as a base. Both 2D and 3D teams has continuous discussions as avatars are developed.

How is 3D Modelling done?

While modelling, we have discussions with the 2D team trying to express the charm of the concept much as possible.

The parts we think are most important is bringing to life much as possible the images that 2D team drew while not causing any issues during gameplay. We also try our best in color and alpha jobs to make them natural as possible.

We are working on and adjusting new design works.

Does distance of Eve’s eyes have any chance of being narrower?

It looks even more unnatural when we tried to fix it in its current state so we are pondering on how to fix it.

How is PvE, PvP tooltip separation coming along?

We couldn’t update it in the end.

When continuing to make contents, since Elsword is an old game, doing the base work is much more difficult than newer games. This is because it takes longer to get from base job to setting job.

But we’ll continue to try our best to keep our promise.

What happens to story after Solace?

It will be difficult to say because it will be a spoiler. Please check out later updates.

Can PvP matching range be revamped again?

We plan to revamp it before next official PvP season starts.

Do you have plans to add PvP contents?

We plan to add a PvP ranking content. (After free season)

When will character systems guide be available?

We first plan to add a description that pops up when you scroll over them.

We’ll make an actual guide later and this will be added to homepage and in-game.

Will Party bug be fixed?

We are currently looking for a cause and it will be fixed soon as the cause is found.

Do you have intention of increasing the range of places where Heroic dungeon invitations are dropped?

We don’t have plans to make invitations drop from Henir. We’ll make it so drop rates are increased in places where it already drops.

Can you make rewards different depending of difficulty of Heroic dungeons?

It will take time to measure the difficulty standards of dungeons because each player has different standards on what is difficult.

We plan to improve this part when the difficulty standards are determined.

Do you have intentions of making fixed Heroic dungeon gears effects re-identifiable?

We planned for a re-identification system when the fixed effects were in the works,

but it was dropped after determining that removing that system was better.

We plan to maintain it this way.

Is Add dungeon an event dungeon?

It’s an official content and not an event.

What do you think about Add dungeon and its weapon?

High specs of the weapon is intended and we thought that considering the dungeon’s difficulty and drop rate of the weapon, players won’t be able to obtain the weapon easily.

Obtain method was decided because we thought there needed to be a chance to obtain a good weapon through a solo play and we wanted to try something new so we changed it so you obtain the weapon first then enhance it later.

There is a word going around that the game will close after level 99. Is it true?

We plan to make contents after level 99 and the game will be updated continuously.

Do you have intentions to revamp guild base or guild contents?

Guild content updates are in the planning.

But because of other update schedules, these updates will have to wait till next year.

Is there any plans to update Ereda Island?

We are well aware of its problems,

but nothing has been decided for certain if we should revamp the content or delete it and add a new system. No exact schedule for it has been made.

It seems advertisement for Elsword was lacking this year. Can you advertise more actively? (Even if you work hard on patches, there’s no way for new/returning users to know.)

After Rose update, we advertised mainly with story quests and company webtoon in order to fill the inadequate parts of Elsword’s lore and settings.

We’ll keep the suggestion in mind however so look forward to more advertisements.

Can you make bank store ED?

It’s a request many players sent us but there is a difficulty implementing this due to how the game’s system is structured.

If storing ED in bank is impossible, then how about making something like a token be sold from shops and storing them instead?

We had a discussion on making high priced replacement currency but nothing has been decided. We’ll think about it again.

It seems event rewards has been lacking recently. What is the reason for it?

It was to prevent large balance gaps being created from just a single event.

Is there any plans for a magic wardrobe events?

It’s a suggestion many players sent us so we’ll look into it.

Is there any plans to revamp Lu/Ciel’s stat separation?

We think that dividing Lu and Ciel’s stats was a correct decision so there are no plans to combine them again.

Is there any plans to revamp hand and feet sizes for older characters?

Lots of players sent us opinions regarding this but nothing has been decided for certain.

We even got opinions that they look fat so we think that this is something that should be fixed.

But it will be difficult to fix this in a short period of time.

If Add dungeon weapon isn’t nerfed, won’t motivation to play other contents(Henir, Secret Dungeon, Heroic Dungeon) go down?

Not all players only plays Add dungeon just because Add dungeon weapon is powerful. We think that each content(Henir, Secret Dungeon, Heroic Dungeon) has its perks and positions.

The current highly difficult Add dungeon can only be cleared after obtaining a good gear. It has been planned so players clear contents step by step starting from lower level contents to the most high level content.

We cannot understand Add dungeon weapon being more powerful than Raid weapon that took many months of investment to make.

It was developed this way because we decided that Add dungeon weapon has 10 level difference than previous raid weapons.

We’ll consider the issue of lifespan of difficult to make weapons becoming shorter with future contents.

Are PvP damage modifiers working properly?

We thought that it was revamped correctly according to PvP datas, but it might not be working as intended because player experiences might be different.

The reason we didn’t open an official PvP season is because we are planning to fix this issue.

We’ll work on improving the rankings and PvP contents when new season comes along.

When will Eltrion weapon’s effect be fixed?

We’ll examine the issue and notify the players later.

Is there any plans to adjust the rewards depending on dungeon’s difficulty?

We’ll examine adjusting the rewards for Elysion dungeons.

When will the error where Elesis’ annihilation gauge being consumed but not hitting the enemy back be fixed?

It was fixed along with other errors during 9/22. We’ll work harder to not miss patch details.

When will the error where blacksmith’s anvil getting reset be fixed?

We are looking for a cause and looking for a way to improve it.

Is there plans for a PvP tournament?

No date has been decided. We’ll announce it when the date is decided later.

Bugs are having too much impact on balance.

Well work hard to fix them through continuous monitoring.

Following are issues that were brought up in Q/A session of 3rd Developer Talk-meeting that happened in KR.

*Content called El Resonance coming out next week(some sources say week after)

*Balance

  • Balance Planned to be more frequent
  • Trying to separate PvP,PvE tooltips. Working on base works for it at the moment. Will take long time.
  • Will adjust Transcendent skills soon.

*Regarding Current state of PvP

  • Tried putting modifiers to prevent matches from being too short but recognizes that it hasn’t been effective
  • Thinks that PvP Season terms from before was too long and will shorten it, give more regular rewards for rankings.
  • Wants more opinion

*Heroic Dungeons

  • Will increase ticket drop rates.
  • Aware that some dungeons are more difficult and should give more rewards. Will Fix. Thinking of a solution.
  • Fixed Gear Effects: No plans to make them identifiable for now.

*Character Systems

  • Thinks they aren’t explained enough in-game. Will add a guide later.

*Add’s Energy Fusion Theory Dungeon

  • The weapon’s stats are intentional.
  • Obtaining best weapon in the game took a long time before so even Director himself joined lots of ‘Henir carry’ parties. He felt while partying in Henir that although skilled players are well off in this content, people getting carried can get the weapon without not too much effort as well. So he thought there needed to be a solo dungeon and that’s this dungeon.
  • Players would normally obtain endgame weapon at the end after going through long time and effort, but wanted to try  something new this time. The result is weapon enhancing stages.
  • Had always wanted to add a solo-play dungeon and this dungeon is the result.
  • Would like players to think obtaining this weapon as a lonely battle.
  • No plans to nerf the weapon

*Problem regarding obtaining new Void Legendary weapon being too easy

  • It is easy but not everyone can clear Energy Fusion dungeon like many people think.
  • There are lots of people that can’t clear it.

*Question about Eltrion or Heroic Weapons becoming useless in less than half a year

  • They are not useless. Use those to run Add’s Energy Fusion dungeon….

*Various Contents after level 99 planned

  • Add’s Energy Fusion Theory Dungeon is one of them

*Henir

  • No plans to reduce amount of materials. But planning to make more materials drop

*Story

  • Story has a big ‘flow’ that’s based on contents from before.
  • Will be revealed more through quests, sub-stories will be revealed through other medias such as webtoons.
  • More will be revealed when dungeon after Solace’s Fortress updates
  • Considering having Rose join in main story after Elysion

*Elsword Anime ending song

  • People that participated got to listen to ending song of upcoming Elsword anime.
  • General opinion of the song is positive.
  • Concept for ending song’s lyrics is Ara.

*Difficulty for new characters starting out

  • Realizes that this needs adjustment
  • Will decrease difficulty of initial stages
  • Will revamp old systems like ‘mentor system’ to make raising alt characters easier

*Regarding Events

  • Event rewards were lowered because players who miss events couldn’t catch up.
  • Thinks that events sometimes destroy balance between players.
  • But thinks that recent events weren’t up to players’ standards.
  • Events should be like events. Contents should be like contents.
  • Will only distribute lots of Sage Stones through events. (Will kill other magic stones otherwise)
  • No wardrobe events planned.

*Ereda

  • Director: “Yea… I tried queuing up too and didn’t get any matches……”
  • Doesn’t think changing rewards will make it popular.
  • Has thoughts about revamping it into a special side-scrolling content. Nothing definitive.
  • Will delete if not revamped.

*Eve’s face

  • Looking into how to improve it. They tried adjusting it but looked even stranger so this will need more time.

*Guilds

  • Thinking about on/off feature for starting in guild base or not
  • Thinks that it needs more contents. But nothing planned for it this year.

*Lu&Ciel’s Transcendence liberated will passives

  • No immediate plans to change it.

*Lu&Ciel stats

  • Became how it is right now because they felt that it needed nerfs. No plans to change it.

*Free B Slots

  • Nope. But may lower price.

*Storing ED in banks

  • Will be difficult if not impossible because client is too old.

*In-game Currency Revamp

  • Will think about it.

*No plans to close game down

*More [True] skills added in first patch of October.

*No plans to buff Eltrion/Perkisas weapons

      Trying to do Glitter Vanguard at Velder Palace with lv50 is extremely unreasonable for newer players. I hate fighting that tank to this day.

      A lv80 with a +9 couldn’t even burst him down the first phase within one 200 MP skill. Renewal of course. So how do they expect a new player with only an A slot and less than effective gear to fight that thing? This is mostly a Feita/Velder issue.

      Luciel liberated passives aren’t “the best” but they aren’t exactly terrible either, since both DL and NB will indeed expend their CP. People are just salty from the lack of uniqueness.

        Not terrible, but if you compare with any other LW, you’ll get to what Luciel users are complaining about. It’s not like those passives (“those”, hahaha) are something like a Transcendence. Any other in the game is much better.

          The fight is tedious and lower levels can actually die if they screw up because one blast from the tank = 30% or more hp. Obnoxious archers too. The point is not about dungeon difficulty, it’s about how it makes leveling more difficult.

      I agree with you with the dungeons being too easy, I miss the alternate routes of some of them, and bosses are meant to be hard not for kill them with one skill duh

    There’s no need to make earlier stages easier! The reason that happens is because most players don’t realize you can enhance your gear when you start out!

      Yeah but why would you waste time enhancing gear? You just try to level up as fast as possible. It is not hard to join a 4 person party in the early stages (unlike Blade and Soul where partying waiting is kind of BS). I think the earlier stages are fine just the way they are.

      7 minute runs and I’m stuck mostly solo’ing unti lv70+ on my alternates. You don’t know the struggle of fighting without the best gear possible to cut the run times, and skill quests. NA hasn’t gotten skill quest revamp, but a major reason it took so long is because you had to farm an area 10 levels ahead than you were supposed to, and that clearing the dungeons took forever.

      Feita/Velder are the biggest “target” areas they need to tone down, the mobs are way too tanky.

      Field bosses are also all too difficult without proper gear, they can burst you down in moments, while it takes you forever to kill them. The only “proper” area I found for field bossing was Velder (both bosses). Screw that Ancient Stone Guardian and his lightning. And in Bethma field, screw that malfunctioning Cargo Airship Wally, he can literally spam his ramming attack and kill you before you can do anything!

        everything from mid-peita onward needs to be rebalanced. particularly once you get to sander the game starts expecting cash-only tiers of gear upgrading.

        knowing kog` they’ll just make it worse.

        and yes, 90% of fieldbosses are broken as hell. this is a problem in multiple games, of course. I remember in mabinogi, even in lowbie areas the fieldbosses would typically be specced for people who’d been playing/training/rebirthing for a long time, so god help the lowbie who made the mistake of trying to fight one if it spawned.

        field bosses are not that bad, I rarely have trouble soloing them on any char. its more about do you understand what this char is good at and whats it weakness it. when i was lvling my bm (I hate raven) I soloed field bosses using giga limited and blood oath (cant rememver the name). While BM is strong ive done it on rena, ara, aisha, elesis, rose (not hard at all), lu, and eve. :v

      [Ture] denotes the properties of a skill gained after reaching a certain level. For instance, at lvl 72, Elsword’s roll costs 33% less MP to use. Only a few skills are like this right now, they’re adding more now.

      They’re not new skills, that means that the skills you already have will get buffed, making them possible to use ever at level 99, as Rena Sniping Ranger’s Guided Arrow, which made the Damage Penalty that suffers will be reduced, or an increase of damage of 1.2.

      Basically, the skills in [True] are buffed.

    This is the main reason why when people say “the new void weapon is for players that didn’t manage to get Eltrion/Perkisas raid weapons” doesn’t make any sense.
    The weapons are now indeed useless. Once everyone finally manages to get their hands on Void (and that will eventually happen) Eltrion/Perkisas weapons will be obsolete.
    I understand KOG said that the meta will constantly change but at least make it so that it’s a challenge to obtain the weapon. Making a dungeon that’s “hard” and claiming not everyone can finish the dungeon isn’t a good excuse. Especially now in this day and age where everyone and their mother has a damn +11~+12 endgame weapon making it possible to breeze through this dungeon with ease. If anything at least make it so the drop rate is similar to Grand Chase’s “void accessory”, where you could grind endlessly for months on end (even years) (took me 5 years to get one) for it to finally drop.

    How about the 3rd raid though? Did KOG forget about Drabaki? Or will that no longer be a thing? Because who’s going to bother trying to compete for a strong weapon when it’s easily accessible in a dungeon?

      I always saw a lot of salty players in my server (INT) and I guess that’s quite normal for those guys. It’s not like I care about those people.

      I also think that those weapons are not useless at all. To me, I think Eltrion weapon is quite good for those who doesn’t get that Perkisas weapon. Not sure about Heroic ones though. I didn’t do heroic dungeons.

      You can blame those spenders for spending their money only to enhance their weapon up until +11~+12. Don’t blame KoG and don’t think negative about them saying like they want to absorb all the money from players. I was also the one who also spend my real money until the server migrated.

      I’m sorry for telling all these, but I think the point is that you might not need to complain about all these (though you’re always welcome to directly show your face in front of their company in real life and blame for all those things)

      I’m also not sure about Drabaki, but they might be working on it (not sure, though).

      Obsolete? Doubtful. Perkisas and Eltrion weapons’ on-hit effects are still extremely stupid in PvP and people do not hesitate to use the stuff.

      No, it makes perfect sense. Raid was a limited time, I got SSS only using a +9 with a buff squad and raiding everyday, it was not a difficult experience. Amnesia ticket grinding whenever rankings slowed down, bam. Easy weapon. Getting it to +11-12 is the only hard part, and that’s the case for any weapon.

      Anyone who did not Raid before cannot get those weapons now. How is it fair to not have the best weapon available at any time, as long as you put in the time and effort? How is it fair to only make that weapon obtainable to +11-12 users when they are a small percentage of the community? “Everyone” logic is faulty because you can’t observe what 90% of the playerbase has.

        That second exerpt goes against everything that people are complaining about,
        It’s not “time and effort” in the same way. With raid, you had to dedicate a lot of time and lots of effort and be pretty strong to SSS if you don’t have a buff squad. Getting those weapons was a sign of your dedication. Energy Fusion Void weapon is literally just -waltzes through dungeon- Oh look, there it is. -picks up- I GOT LUCKY WITH RNG EVERYONE :D

        It’s nowhere NEAR the same amount of effort or experience when it comes to earning a raid weapon, it’s just getting lucky with RNG. Grinding for “lucky rng drop” versus “grind for something that you know if you keep grinding you are guaranteed to get and can measure progress toward at any time, it just takes a lot of grinding” is different. There are quite a lot of people in KR right now who already have this weapon, and the bs is that you can get it on your first run, or do 700 runs (someone was megaphoning about their 700th run) and still not have it. It is not the same thing, no matter how you try to justify it.

        I say the above as someone who has both an Eltrion weapon and who already acquired the Type Void weapon, and I’m disgusted with the type void. Getting the legendary eltrion felt like a real accomplishment, something I could be proud of having pulled off, especially since I didn’t have a buff party. Getting the Type Void was like “oh look I got super lucky with RNG yaaaay” but there was not the same sense of having put in a lot of effort simply because the only reason I have it is because I got lucky.

          Complaining about RNG is the same reason why Hero dungeon was seen as an iffy update. We adjusted after complaining that the gear wasn’t all that good.

          DFO and many other MMOs run the same system of defeating enemies over and over to get a rare drop, I don’t see this as a negative in any way, shape, or form. If you have a +11 Perkisas/Eltrion weapon, you can smash through this dungeon and easily use it over the “best weapon in the game.”

          Upgrading the weapon itself takes a crapton of grinding on top of actually looking for the weapon, and your personal belief that it should take more work is an expected initial reaction. If you aren’t smashing the dungeon then you’re fighting lightning spamming Berauks who actually hurt, two Type H’s with 4 spore creators that cannot be killed (which is already cancer for anything that can’t utterly destroy their hp), the 3 Epic NPCs, with Proto being able to oneshot in PvE, and a boss that takes a hell of a lot of punishment, but has an unmanabreakable oneshot skill.

          The higher geared players are the ones that think it is a crappy update, everyone else is just following suit and trying to obtain the weapon like they would for any other.

            the problem being called out is not the RNG, it’s the implication that “getting lucky with RNGesus” is the same as “earned through dedication and hard work”.

            putting aside that the typical MMO dev takes the latter to mean “a task that takes months of soul-crushing grind to accomplish”, it’s seriously bullshit to suggest that something that you can randomly get on the first run, or randomly end up not getting even if you run nothing else for months on end, is reasonably considered a “time and effort” thing. because being random, there is no assurance that any amount of time and effort spent will ever be rewarded.

            feats of luck are not accomplishments.

    Expanding Guild? ABOUT TIME. They should use Guild Coins to purchase decorations for the guild base. That will make the guild thing better!

    PvP season shortened. I don’t like the idea. I have like 10 characters that I have to rank up every new season. After transcendce and level jump event, there will probably be more. I need the time to rank up before new season :( However, the increase rewards sound nice.

    Event rewards become lowered. Basically KOG realized that people are getting too much freebies and need to spend more cash. Before they do, however, I would like a free 2nd class change event PLEASE!

    The event thing worries me, giving lot of free itens doesn’t break balance, you increase the number of Good itens in the game, making other items cheaper and easier for the everybody to obtain.

    This really seems like a poor excuse for making everyone spend more cash. Or…. Event nerf may be something just in KR, because other servers had been nerfed since forever.

      Item level required is 160, and that’s roughly using +9 SD armor with a +8 Perkisas Weapon. The people smashing through Fusion dungeon have the strongest weapons existent in the game as they got it to +11-12. Of course it’ll look easy.

        That’s overkill for item level actually. +7 SD armor and +8 SD weapon can get you to Item Level 153, and that’s assuming you don’t have physical or magical stat level ups on the armor, which actually will increase your item level. You can actually get to 160 with +7 SD armor and +8 SD weapon if each of them a stat level up effect.

      you really have to step back in awe at what they’re saying with that.

      because there are a number of classes that are impossible to play even semi-competently in any context without your other four hotkeys. arguably no class is able to be good with only four moves at a time.

      so basically this is “no, fuck you, the game is actaully pay to play, and while we might put it on sale we’ll never actually live up to the ‘free to play’ claim because FUCK YOU.”

      even if they split up tooltips, they have no intentions of ever making skills actually different between PVE and PVP. they maintain the userbase is too stupid for that.
