★ This week’s main issue

  1. New Transcendence Special Active for all characters added
  2. More powerful Luto Mode, chance to obtain Heroic dungeon tickets. Revamped Secret Dungeons and Luto Mode
  3. 4th Elemental Attribute ‘Quadro Master’ added. Attribute revamp
  4. Revamped Early Game
  5. Character Balance Revamp
  6. El Resonance EXP can be obtained from Henir, Heroic and Add’s Energy Fusion Theory

  1. New Transcendence Special Actives for all characters
  1. Secret Dungeon, Luto Mode revamp

① Secret Dungeon Matching range changed

 – Changed so max levels(Lv.99) are prioritized to be matched with other max levels.

 

② Increased Luto Mode chance

– Chance of Luto appearing is greatly increased when average party level range is 90~99

 

③ Secret Dungeon difficulty revamp!

– Becomes more difficult the higher average party level is 

 

④ EXP gained for Luto Mode increased!

– +300% in Luto mode

– +300% Not applied for El Resonance Points

 

⑤ New Secret Dungeon title, daily Luto mode quest

⑥ Use ‘El filled Tree’

– Click on tree in Elysion town and press ‘Throw’ (‘던지기’) button to consume 10 barrier shards(Secret dungeon craft material) and obtain one of the following items randomly

2,000ED, 4,000ED, 1x El Reward, 2x El Reward, 4x El Reward, 5x El Reward

  1. Elsword Early Game revamp

 

① Tutorial Revamp

– Tutorials are disabled if there’s at least 1 level 10 or higher in the account.

– level 8 or higher characters won’t get tutorials

 

② Beginning Guide(Town&Field tutorial) revamp

– Made Tutorial’s Click button appear quicker than before

– Changed so character reaches level 5 upon finishing the town&field tutorial

– Characters over level 5 cannot gain EXP from tutorial dungeon

– Tutorial dungeon aren’t affected by EXP events, PC Cafe EXP buffs

– Changed so new skills are auto registered in skill slots up till lvl 10

 

③ Beginner Adventurer Cube

– Beginner adventurer cube ‘초보 모험가 장비 큐브’ is given after clearing story quest ‘[던전] 월리엄 주제에 건방지다’

“초보 모험가 장비 큐브를 오픈해주세요.” message will be displayed until this cube is opened.

 

 

④ Improved Class Advancement Quest reward

– 1st class advancement quest: [Cobo] B slot (15 days)

– 2nd class advancement quest: [Cobo] B Slot (30 days)

– Transcendence quest: [Cobo] Transcendence Slot (15 days)

 

⑤ Hero buff announcement message, pop-up guide added

Random Matching Buff announcement is displayed during matchmaking countdown.

– Confirms once more when starting with current members

 

⑥ Beginning Epic(Story) Quest revamp

– Free Phoru pet story quest is removed and quest cannot be carried out anymore after maintenance.

– Free pet quest reward changed: [Cobo] Wild Petite Phoru (15 days, with fetch Aura)

 

⑦ Ann’s Gift title obtain method change

– Announces that Ann’s Gift was obtained  through pop-up. Can choose to equip it right away.

 

⑧ Other (Base Setting/Dungeon/Item)

– 10 HP and MP potions given in quickslots right after character creation and tutorial completion.

– Giant Phoru doesn’t appear in Tree of El(Normal) and changed so dungeon is cleared after defeating Banthus.

– Just like Tree of El dungeon, Forest Ruins, White Mist Swamp and Shadow Forest dungeons are changed to solo dungeons as well.

– Box locations changed for some dungeons

– Matchmaking ‘Unknown’ time changed to 1 minute

– Normally dropped weapon enhancements become +4~5

– Changed so pressing ESC once will skip both Quest completion event scene and Quest accept event scene

      I’m guessing they’re gonna be stronger versions of the effects, as usual.

      What I wanna know is how much elemental resistance you’ll get if you give an armor piece three of the same element.

    except the elements… fire, wind AND nature are all affected by enhancement level now…. watch +11 and above rape your HP more now…

    they also buffed the fuck out of light and nerfed dark…. interesting

    So basically, light attribute is now the same as sand blast set eff,right?
    Now thats one helluva way to buff an attribute that nearly noone use, it’d be great if light attr isnt so lag-sensitive

    Why does KOG ALWAYS revamp the very beginning of the game? As in, the part of the game you should be done with in 30 minutes?

    They keep on doing it. Ruben was completely revamped from a 6/5 stage area to just 3. Then they keep on making more and more changes to those stages + 2-1.

    I wasn’t aware anyone was having problems with that first segment of the game. I’m pretty sure everyone has problems with the lack of proper endgame content, and specifically how pay2not die of bordem PVE has gotten as of Lanox and Elysion with huge amounts of enemy HP inflation to force you to get +10 weapons if you want to beat the stages in a timely manner…..

    Keep digging that grave KOG.

      Totally agree, why the hell they keep revamping ruben, when the only endgame content is AFKing on villages or getting raped on pvp…..

      Hmm, let me think. Maybe it’s because the beginning of the game is the most important part in getting new players. If things are done choppy (which they were), it’ll cause players to be confused and people will drop it before actually delving in.

      I’m an end-game PvEer and there’s plenty of stuff for me to do. As long as you’re not lazy and actually grind for gear and not buy it, you could be playing for quiet a while. It just depends on if you want “good enough” gear or “awesome” gear. I’m mostly talking about Heroic, but it can apply to people who stick with SD gear.

        Yea cause right now I have 5/6 Fully trended dragonic along with legend plus 9 perki. I’m just grinding heroic for the gear right now the 2*+5% phy and mag att lol

        The goal is to keep players around and have them keep spending money on the game. Showing more care to the very first part of the game when they’re going to hit the untouched areas in an hour anyway is misplaced priority.

        …..And a very KOG thing to do.

      in order to balance out the amount of old players leaving during endgame, they revamped the startgame to entice more new players to come and stay

        Without proper endgame content, those same new players will eventually leave when they reach the endgame like everyone else.

        Elsword has never had problems attracting new players. It’s holding on to the players that have been playing for a while.

        What most people don’t realize is that while the NA playerbase are a bunch of Stockholm Syndromed gits and accept whatever KOG throws at them until NA Closers comes along, the ST Revamp was a huge disaster in KR and caused mass rage quitting. Those players didn’t just come back. They were replaced when Add attracted a new crowd of people. (People who actually like shitty edgelord characters…..)

          Reaching the endgame from a fresh account is extremely difficult, and bank share is no longer free for newer players.

          You have to sort out magic necklace, B slot (they’re adding a slight remedy to this), Ring of Fury, relevant skill rings, +8 gear to actually do any endgame stuff (which you need to grind for), etc. The list goes on. Elsword was never new-player friendly and this is just targeting the deadness that shapes the beginning of the game for alternate characters.

          Hero mode is endgame content and you can’t realistically solo it without auto queue buff unless you’re geared to hell and back. It’s an excuse to state that we have no endgame when +9 gear already struggles to solo SDs without auto queue to the rescue.

      Fire was always good.

      It’s just that the metagame has shifted to one combo kills so Fire doesn’t get to do much outside of kill WS and YR after their 1 HP passives save them.

        Nah fool. I made a suggestion already about how Fire/Poison were useless in PvE. I’m surprised they did something about it this early and even revamped particle effects of the elements, which was a gigantic problem with seeing Wind procs.

    Next patch please have a pve/pvp version of the El resonance system. Maybe 50 or 60 points allowed total. 25 points max in one column.

    Very disappointed due to major things.

    First of all, incomplete information, I totally understand that you guys have a life and all that, but basically after a day there is not information on the % in Lv 4 attribute, which sucks. To be honest, I do not think that is so hard, to go to sparring check out the % on weapons of the “pros” and post it here.

    Second, fire and wind attribute affected by weapon enhancement… lol.. I have +12 BH and +12 MM… lol. This update will be insane, is super unfair, to be honest. Now is even making the game more pay2win. Imagine those BH with fire 3 in pvp lmao.

    Maybe KOG will bring back Arcade Mode for the 10 year anniversary~.

    They seriously need to work on midgame. For me (as in bringing friends to play) it is the repetitiveness of the gameplay and the lack of difficulty. The fact that until the very end most of dungeons are cleared quite fast (one change over the past years that I actually welcome) is not too bad, I mean we live in this age when people can’t spend ages grinding, it’s agreeable. What I want, what will really make people stay – is difficulty and interesting AI. Seriously it is DEADLY needed. A gameplay that is both swift and difficult at the same time would be incredibly perfect. And of course it would be nice if it escalated since the beginning because Ruben to Velder has become a dead place. I realise that was done in order to make the feeling of clearing later dungeons more exciting but the beginning is discouraging. DON’T BE AFRAID TO MAKE THE GAME DIFFICULT. I can take childish Ruben, Elder, maybe partly Bethma but onwards it is intolerable. A game must make you want to play it, it must pose a challenge and most won’t keep until the end to see what’s there when the beginning is just uggh… For the retarded to say the least?..

      Well, I guess, there’s nothing wrong with what you said that we shouldn’t be afraid of making the game difficult, but shouldn’t the difficulty be too abrupt? I mean, sure childish Ruben as it is, a maybe for Elder, and a little difficulty for Bethma is okay–but nah, none of these posed that much abuse and threat than Elysion! I just see no transition there. Lanox was a little difficult when it first arrived, but we soon got our game right for its dungeons, and the same thing was with Atlas dungeons, I guess, just with a little bit of surprise–but Elysion? I don’t know. I can’t say if how it was for others, but I say it was very difficult. You would almost be unable to memorize and take note if their movements, ’cause, they read your moves and more than you do.
