Looks like it’s gonna be either RNG card game or turn based (like Final Fantasy).

But hey, at least we have a small spoiler: the 11th town (after Elysion story) in Elsword could possibly be “Luna” or something? Who knows?

    • Someguy says:

Luna is the name of player. The town is Elder. The boss is Durahan from Fieta. There is absolutely no spoilers, hint, or valid proof that suggest that these screenshots shows an “11th town”

    • Someguy says:

Luna is the name of the world and also the ign of the one selecting LK. It specifically states here that they were “summoned” to the new world rather than appeared. This suggest that some unknown force pulled them into Luna. In Elysion it is suggested that the world was recreated. You don’t particularly be summoned in a world that has been recreated. You just appear

      • Gameboy224 says:

Wouldn’t be surprising if whatever happens after Solace ends up being about the moon. One of the big overarching visuals in the game is the eclipsed moon. Not only that but it seems Ebalon is in the spotlight after what we learned in 10-7. So I mean, a moon related story isn’t out of the question.

Though I not really sure if this game will have any real impact on it or not.

    • ninjaskingg says:

or maybe later this year they might finally remodel rena elsword and aisha just saying they need it like a lot

    • Dragovoid says:

Well they could always just make an elysion SD about elsword’s choice

  • Flow says:

They are 36 classes in this but Elsword has 37 classes total (Rose). Are they removing one class from Rose or are they just adding an entirely different character?

Also another mobile game? Whatever happened to that Elsword Evolution game?

    • Roy says:

it was a game from China that had Kog’s permission, this one is directly from KR Kog I think

    • Flare Kyn says:

Um, there’s only 6 heroes, according to the entry itself, and from screenshots, it’s Elboy~Chung. But I will admit that the 36 classes confused me as well. Unless they’re making new classes for this game, there should only be half that many.

      • Starsonovasa says:

It could be that they’re including 1st jobs as part of those 36 classes.

      • L says:

The classes from screenshots seems to be a mix match of character+costume+attack type. For instance, Chung Butler is a range, where as Chung no costume is a melee.

        • L says:

There are also ranks for card types, so official canon design are rare and above. Where as outfits that seem to look like cheap knock-offs are the common grade or something.

Seems like a mix match of several other mechanics in popular mobile games.

          • Flare Kyn says:

… Um… first off, where are you getting that from? And second, you know that’s an image of the AVATAR menu, right? I doubt those affect how the characters play (Yes, I know the Butler Chung says “Magic” on it, but it wouldn’t be the first time a game had used “Magic” as a rarity – Summoners War does it, too).

          • L says:

Sorry, should have stated that this was coming from someone who was playing it for the first time. Most of what I said were guesses that were made by the individual.

          • L says:

And I screwed up again. Being able to edit would be nice for mobile.

Meant to say someone was reviewing based on information and screenshots alone.

Sorry for being such an idiot.

          • Flare Kyn says:

You can’t edit comments in general here.

  • Cara says:

WHY DON”T MAKE THIS AS A NEW GAME FOR PC? LOOK THOSE MODELS, TOO MUCH FUCKING BETTER!

    • L says:

Because it seems like the game can be pre-rendered instead of having to be adjusted for every situation. It will be hard if the character could be controlled in the same way as the PC game. They would also have to worry about costumes and etc.

      • Pyronic says:

Mouse and keyboard, non targeting, z = left click x = right click, custom keys or 1~9 for skills, it could work as a vindictus x soul worker x Tera kind of game

  • Nao says:

So… things about graphic, characters and others, let’s just side that first… … the main thing is, this game going to available for every country or not?

  • Rokujou says:

Why do I feel like this is KOG’s way of saying they’re moving to mobile games?

    • Endgame says:

Because KOG is more or less South Korea’s own Nintendo (In terms of batshit insane business and game design decisions and declining game quality, not so much in terms of success and having a legacy to ruin.) and Nintendo’s been going down that route. They can’t get anything that doesn’t have “Pokémon” and “Version” in the title to sell that well these days. But Fire Emblem Heroes, a shitty mobile game where most of the female characters have been redesigned as moe cancer? It’s making them bank. Because people really want their 5 star Takumis. (Oh, but everyone hated Takumi in Fates for holding a reasonable stance towards the player avatar character…..)

…..Or in other words, mobile games are slowly consuming the entire video game industry. Japan (Capcom, Konami, and other developers certainly already shifted focus to mobile.) and South Korea are being hit the hardest by this plague. North America is still enjoying their consoles, but games like Game of War generate enough cash to afford Super Bowl ads.

But I’m certain PC gaming will continue to live in South Korea if only because PC bangs mean most of the populace don’t need to buy their own gaming PCs.

      • Kingles says:

Do you think this mobile game could help spread Elsword’s popularity in the US? Will everyone over there get to see and understand why Elesis is superior to Aisha?

        • Endgame says:

Really Breasts_Sage? You’re trying this again after your attempt on ClosersHQ blew up?

        • zetgeist says:

          >el-sister
          >superior
yer killin’ me here, I’mma die laughing.

          • awsed says:

well, with KoG finally making their favoritism towards elesis even MORE public, I wouldn’t call him that “wrong”, sure, elesis isn’t superior to anyone, in fact is a cheap hateable bitch, but they insist and insist and insist almost as much as DFO tries to prostitute their female gunner (aka rose) and NA’s “mad march of elesis” is just the summit of it all

      • Flare Kyn says:

You better not talk shit about my Awakening Tiki!

That said, how is KoG like Nntendo? They don’t make nearly as many games.

        • L says:

He’s comparing their behaviour when tackling game development and marketing.

They throw as much stuff out, hoping something sticks and then builds around those series, creating versions of it.

          Similar to KH.

      • zetgeist says:

        >the anti-nintendo screed returns
are you seriously that retarded these days, endykins?

        • L says:

People have dislikes for certain companies. Some hate Nintendo’s way of handling PR, some hate Sony’s shoddy security, and some hate XBOX’s community.

Let him voice his anger. It’s not like screaming into a black hole will change anything. If he really wanted to do something, he would’ve posted angry tweets to their twitter, and post angry review videos about their products and why they shouldn’t buy. You’ll really get their attention and a DMCA notice.

          • Endgame says:

Actually I’m a former Nintendo fan. Most Nintendo “haters” these days are former Nintendo devotees.

I’m certainly no fan of Sony’s. Hell, I still blame them for creating the environment that led to the current state of the industry. (The whole “cinematic game” trend started when developers started going FMV crazy on PS1.) And I can’t say I’ve been satisfied with a Microsoft product other than Windows 7…..

But Nintendo and KOG behave in oddly similar ways as of late.

  • F says:

    it’s a good decision tbh
mobile game is the trend now, just hope they won’t ignore elsword pc completely

and i think a mobile game with casual gameplay will attract alot of player rather than copying the pc gameplay

  • awsed says:

couldn’t they design elsword like this on first place?

  • Endgame says:

Reminder that KOG announced shitty mobile game “Grand Chase M” around the time they announced Grand Chase was shutting down.

Not that I think they’re as close to shutting down Elsword as they were Grand Chase. But if KOG doesn’t have something that can draw people back this summer….. things are going to take a turn for the worse. (Oh, but it’s okay. If they can last to December they’ll release ANOTHER new character~.)

  • Falken says:

Most shocking about this… Aisha actually looked sexy.. Color me impresed

  • Feudarc says:

Anyone notice the 4th screenshot down? Anyone make the connection between Luna= Moon, and that picture? Maybe the answer is so blatantly obvious that people automatically assume that it has a hidden meaning. Just a thought.

  • Malle says:

For a second I thought this was going to be a whole new 3D PC game. Then I kept reading and sighed in relief.

I put a lot of money and sweat into the game, if they were ever going to make it 3D, I had better keep all my shit.

  • Hshshsksnss says:

Lol that IS costume in the last screenie

  • Raveology says:

    No VIP system?

  • Endgame says:

So, KOG might have made a huge blunder. From the screenshots, it seems that there’s just going to be the first six characters at launch. (And the “36 classes” number is because they’re counting their 1st AND 2nd Jobs. But not their bases?) You know, the characters no one plays anymore. (Raven and Chung are flat out the least popular characters on KR.) Not the characters the current fanbase like, such as Add, Lu, and Ain.

…..That’s a bad move for this kind of (I’m assuming) Gacha game. I mean, you have to have people’s favorites to get them to spend money and chase the RNG dragon. You think Fire Emblem Heroes would have done as well if it wasn’t mostly Awakening and Fates characters available at launch?

A good number of the people who love the older characters left a long time ago. Elsword has an entirely new audience now. Aiming at the older audience is a mistake because they resent KOG. (Especially if they also played Grand Chase…..)

  • cr1mes says:

“36 classes”i think they count the 1st and 2nd job change from all heroes…

    • Flare Kyn says:

I don’t think so. Considering this isn’t even hinted at in the story of the MMO, and since the second jobs are basically improvements of the first jobs, think the characters are already second job when arriving at Luna.

I can only see two possibilities. The first is that there are classes exclusive to this game, and the second is that they’re going to double the number of paths each of those characters have in the MMO’s future.

  • Azulai says:

    I wanna see Aisha ass.

  • Endgame says:

KR Elsword ranking watch: Elsword dropped 4 ranks to #39.

    http://www.gamemeca.com/popup/ranking.php?scode=O&rid=1138

Welp, this is it. Ain hype is done and it’s slipping away again…..

  • dudelove says:

uninstalled elsword. I used to play regardless of the lag, p2w, broken balance, crap GMs, poor customer service etc because at least I could get enjoyment out of the game. Now worst of all, its boring. No reason to play.

  • MagicSpice says:

i wonder if the playstyle will be like that one mobile game I played called Heroes of Incredible (aka HIT).

if so, we’re looking at unreal engine and possibly some sloppy controls…
