According to the comic that came out little bit after Ran was revealed, it is shown that Ran knew Sasha since she was young, and Ran was still a demon at the time. The conflict occurs because Sasha and Ran's first meeting is speculated to be at least 7~8 years ago. But when you look at Ara and Ran's back story as shown in EltypeS2, time that Ran was turned into a demon is predicted to be at least within 1 year before Ara joins the Elparty.
