Notice Regarding 7/8 Update

June 24th, 2021 | Posted by 2nafishisgood in Elsword News | Patch Notes
  1. New/Returner Attendance Reward Changes

We answered in developer Q/A that there were no plans to change New/Returner attendance rewards. However, after an internal discussion we have decided to change some of the rewards in the 7/8 update.

New Elrios attendance will be applied after 7/8 maintenance so please accept all previous rewards before then

※ New Elrios attendance rewards are applied per account

  1. Story Quest Changes Notice

As mentioned in the Q&A, an initial progression zone revamp will take place, which will remove the previous Ruben~Elysion story quests with new ones.

All story quests under the character’s current level will be considered completed after the update.

EX) If the character level is 40 – Ruben~Altera story quests will be automatically completed and will start from Feita story quests.

Please accept all unaccepted story quest rewards before then.

Players: The only good way to farm ED is Epic quest!
KoG: Ooh! Alow me to fix that, ty! *Nerf Epic Quest*

The only good way?? Please give me a break. You could literally make bank off running SDs. ED gain build nets you 1-1.2mil a run depending on party and you get more in luto. SDs are freaking easy as hell too.
Using one stamina bar I net like over 30 mil and even more depending on if had full parties the whole time. If you have alts the money will come in fast. That’s not counting barrier fragments you can sell.
Also Rosso raid is still one of the best money making methods as well.
Story was a good way to make money but I’m glad it’s getting possibly revamped to like how Noah and labys is, takes too long to level up.
While I agree that KOG needs to fix stuff, you guys are overdramatizing this when it’s a good thing.

hopefully they properly write Ain and Rose in so they dont feel shoehorned into the plot. the story has been needing a rework for a long time after KOG deleted a bunch of story and side quests because infants were crying about the repetitions and grind. seriously, if youre gonna complain about grinding, why tf are you playing an RPG??? grinding is the name of the game when it comes to RPGs, especially MMOs since the devs have to find a sweet spot so ppl dont reach endgame too fast and run out of things to do. guess we’ll see how this goes. not that ive personally had an issue understanding the plot, i nonetheless hope they fix the overall flow of the story and make the plot a bit more straightforward and cohesive

    • dongshinlee says:

      are you grinding?? obvsly not

tbh to ppl really read story ? arent they just go grind 24/7

      • dongshinlee says:

we didnt have problem with grind , if it really rewarding like how mmorpg should be even grinding isnt fun anymore

      • MarieWolf_94 says:

i love reading the story and, imho, youre not fully immersing yourself and truly playing the game if youre just rush, rush, rushing through the game and skipping the story. and i did grind. i grinded from Ruben to Elrianode on almost EVERY. SINGLE. CLASS. i personally saw nothing wrong w/the story quests and dungeon length but, ofc, the one time KOG listens is to the babies that complained about the grind

        • Flare Kyn says:

Something’s telling me it’s not even that, they probably just want to make everyone similar to Laby and Noah.

          • MarieWolf_94 says:

which would be nice. a lot of ppl have been saying from the start everyone should start from different points in the story instead of everyone (but Laby and Noah obviously) starting in Ruben. Elsword, Aisha, Rena and technically Ain should start in Ruben and everyone else should start where theyre respectively met in the story

    • Flare Kyn says:

There’s grinding, and then there’s too much grinding just to make any progress.

The difference being that the former is just what’s expected from an RPG and the latter is bad game design.

    • xTidus says:

Dude no! This story already confusing as hell as it is. They need to stop adding characters to the story. Half the characters in the story now have no reason to be there. They just decided to follow a red haired boy.

      • MarieWolf_94 says:

what are you talking about? everybody isnt just “following a red-haired boy” for the hell of it. honestly, the only one who has no right to be w/ the group is Rose because she was just shoehorned into the plot so late into the game (she got sent to Elysion and has been apparently running parallel to the El Gang before deciding in Elrianode “f*ck it, imma join you guys!”). everyone else has had their own agendas for joining the ranks until, over time, they began overlapping w/ Elsword’s goals when they realized much bigger things were at play

  • Brancliff says:

Wow, attendance rework once again? Watch it be trash again KEKW

  • MarieWolf_94 says:

and i thought Els’s grinding was fine up until Elrianode. but i guess thats just my opinion since a lot of ppl complained about the grind since even before Elrianode

    • MarieWolf_94 says:

the hell??? this was suppose to be a replay to Flare’s message to mine above lol!

    • Flare Kyn says:

Apologies, I’m not sure what I was thinking when I made that post. Getting from 1 to 99 with Elboy~Ain is alright (it starts to get kinda bad in the 90s, but still bearable), it’s mostly El Resonance that feels like a slog.

      • Anon says:

It’s been a while since I’ve properly played but I remember Resonance leveling up really quick at first and then just becoming totally terrible and not being worth leveling for the reward it was offering. I remember hearing rumors that it was only implemented to begin with because of engine restrictions preventing them from raising the level cap, but I don’t know if that’s true.

I’d probably be more likely to play more often if they made the PvE at 99+ less grindy and pay to win, but that’s obviously never going to happen.

      • MarieWolf_94 says:

agreed, El Res takes way too long to grind…glad they at least somewhat adjusted that. i probably wont personally see just how fast the new EXP table runs, but whatever. grinding and progressing, imo, was perfectly fine all the eay to Atlas Station. yes there were a lot of quests (most of which are now deleted) that forced you to do the same dungeon over and over, but i personally never had an issue w/ this. repetition and grinding is how RPGs work and, since RPGs are my preferred game genre, i got use to it. whenever i see ppl complain about the grinding, 9 times out of 10 it’s NORMALLY because theyre not use to RPGs…or MMORPGs for that matter which has even MORE grinding implemented because (as i said before) the devs are trying to add as much padding and buffer as possible to keep us, the players, entertained and busy until the next big update patch that will bring more content for us to do

  • Flare Kyn says:

Apparently they revamped the suggestions channel on the NA Discord.

Hoping that they will revamp ranking system because the current is shit, the worst ever in the game.
