So basically they turned Ara into Korra.
No?
The whole Spirit World and Human World thing with Surya using Spirit Powers for the benefit of both gives me pretty strong Korra vibes.
But neither Aang nor Korra really used the power of spirits aside from Raava, and even then, that was mostly just for the reincarnation thing with barely any actual use of Raava’s power for combat. For the most part, their abilities came from the lion turtles who directly granted the ability to manipulate the elements to people to protect them from the Spirit World until after the first Avatar came into being. Surya, on the other hand, is HEAVILY reliant on the power of the spirits, way more than Aang and Korra combined.
I hope they buff her orb recovery rate or at least let her gain orbs while awakened like Devi or even make one of her skills like aspera’s Fierce Tiger Strike . She relies soo much on orbs for her buffs which basically makes her meh in terms of other characters that have buff skills as well. Even nerfing her buff skill amount and removing the orb requirements on her buffs can be considered a buff.
