    This is a welcome change!

The only drawback I see from this is that the party will not be able to move on with Retry when there’s a party member with full inventory.
We’ll need to plan ahead with the inventory before we start queueing up for a dungeon.

I genuinely can’t tell if this is an improvement or not, lmao

So does this mean we can’t accidentally discard items by pressing the Esc key now? If so, that would be awesome.

“Temporary inventory cannot be dragged or resized” I personally don’t like this, but it’s honestly just a minor gripe.

    >Retry is impossible if a party member has an item in the temporary inventory

That’s gonna suck so hard when farming Trosh or 16-2 for exp

thanks 2na!, well this small qol are good.
i also think that retry thing is a little bit annoyning… i wonder if it also includes random parties and because we cant retry until the member handle the items that means the party is always wiped in such case.
at least we can buy inventory with ed so, its your own fault.

    • Flare Kyn says:

Not really. I’ve had to be careful not to press Esc when I had stuff in the temporary inventory (I’ve accidentally discarded stuff I wanted to keep that way a few times), so this is a welcome change.

  • leedongshin says:

cannot retry… temporary item.. sure this is 50% helping

  • Sukaiba says:

I can’t tell if that’s good or not
You miss drops if anything dies and you’re not with empty pockets, plus you obstruct party flow if you are full by the end of a dungeon
The window being undraggable and unsizeable, like the old one

tbh besides being able to see more than one item at a time, and ASSUMING it atleast fixes the bug where if you open certain menus while temp inventory is open, the window bugs out until you boot again (The accept and discard options become offscreen’d),
this is at most a sidegrade, if not flat out downgrade

    • Flare Kyn says:

“You miss drops if anything dies and you’re not with empty pockets” Um… what? No, they go into the temporary inventory, where you can then move them to the main inventory once you’ve made room for them. That’s how the temporary inventory has ALWAYS worked, and it’s how it’s going to keep working. The only way I can understand you thinking that way is if you were one of those players who would always press Esc to try to exit the dungeon even with items in your temporary inventory, not realizing that the Esc key prioritizes discarding items over exiting the dungeon (which is kinda dumb imo, but I adapted to click “exit” instead of pressing Esc when I have items in my temporary inventory, which let me take the items into town and sell stuff to NPCs to make room for them).

I haven’t experienced that bug myself.

Whoops, I accidentally clicked post before I finished typing.

Can you please elaborate on that bug and how it works?

        • Sukaiba says:

Well testing it out seems it might have gotten patched at some point
I recall that if you opened two menus (I think? it was Characters and also Inventory) the loot slot would get stuck below the Inventory menu, such that with Inventory open, the temp loot would become pretty much off-screen’d and with Inventory closed, it was off-screen’d just enough to not be able to push accept/discard and the only fix was to relog

      • Flare Kyn says:

Oh wait, just saw the bit of items not dropping if you have something in the temporary inventory. Except… that’s only for FIELDS. You know, the places where you can just run over to a town or rest spot to sell your stuff? It’s honestly a pretty minor thing. I mean, I still don’t like it, but it’s still not huge.

  • Lmaomao says:

A lot of new features that should be in the game like 5years ago

    • Flare Kyn says:

Games that get updates tend to get QoL improvements over time. I do not think these are things that are intentionally held back, but things that the developers of said games actually learned needed improvement over the life of said games. Maybe people only recently started to complain about this stuff? Regardless, I don’t think the fact this came out this late into the game’s life is an objective issue. Yes, it would have been really nice if it came out 5 years ago, but was there really a NEED for it to come out 5 years ago? I personally don’t think so.
