        The thing is that KoGs, most likely, have their patches with a margin. So, I suggest, that “reboot” was ready somewhen after Laby release, they just thought, that they need to concentrate on developing monetizations in Kurtzpel, so they decided to announce “reboot” in Elsword (which they made long ago with low effort) to keep players expectations and interest in game. KoGs tryed to stretch their “reboot” on whole year, thats why they were feeding players with fillers for so long. So I wouldn’t say that “reboot” was rushed and unfinished. Scandals just pushed KoGs to release long ago ready patch a bit early than they hoped.

    Come on people. We haven’t even seen any of the skill changes in action. Unless you expect Low Kick to still be a small forward kick when it goes from Active to Strength, there’s a lot of changes here.

          yes and no, iv time n time again just left this game cuz nothiin interesting happens, same few characters are dominating everything. and they havent released anything interesting since lu/ciel so i mean any change is good for this game at this point, people are mostly gunna be upset when they see nerfs to a specific they like, i would rather a complete change than any nerfs tho.

            Is late to comment here but I want a good change in Elsword who make’s you playing with a combination of Z, X and skills. The metagame is all the time skillclean and that makes the game Boring in PvE (MVP get’s the best drop all the time).

      tbh, the way KoG put the idea of “re:boot”, I expected, at least, job paths gaining their own additional systems.

      the way KoG does those balances is like they don’t know what are the issues they should be concerned about in each of the game’s classes and i’m gonna give you an example.

      she’s been struggling since last revamp (what? 3 years ago?) with poor MP regen and focused in bravery skills to do dmg. then, KoG chooses NOT TO change anything about that and went further by eating 50MP from a job class that claims and craves for MP, completely pot-based.

      well, i do understand ppl getting happy about the new features of some skills and i’m not telling i’m not. however, i do think bringing those features without bringing any “systemic change” to some classes is kinda pointless.

      This is actually a reboot, but people are upset that their CS isn’t the next EtW or some lame nonsense, they haven’t even seen what they can do. Why would they completely change the system of a character instead of making redoing the system over with changes? They would bitch about their character being too different than before and complain about that. Sounds like the Sega Fandom syndrome.

    If you don’t want to play, gtfo. The past patches were disappointing, but this has some potential here.

    I guess no one decided to remove the wall effect from Esencia’s summons. So its still a class that encourages running(even more so with the combo escape) charging mp, bursting and escaping combos for free because of the summons screwing their opponent over. Dont know what I expected tbh. Guess this revamp is mainly for more consistency in PvE.

      Remove/change broken overused in pvp skills – no. Remove Rail Stinger – mostly pve skill no one ever was complaining about – yes… Just KoGs being KoGs. (I really liked Rail Stinger =\ )

        I mean its seldom use is pretty exactly why you’d remove it. Plus every class is getting like 2 entirely new skills and getting some actives changed to special actives. If they’re changing an active to a strength skill, its pretty much a new skill. We’ve yet to see what these new provide.

          The only reason why Rail Stinger was using seldom is just because people overlook flex/tenacity builds in general. Majority of players are just lazy to math and simply follow most obvious builds, or builds they were suggested on forums. So not many players know, that flex/tena builds can do near or same good damage as strength/bravery on most of chars. The trade here is that flex/tena builds worse at clearing than str/brav, but better with mana management (forget about pots spam). Not even to mention, that Rail Stinger was good for fancy skill based combos in pvp – but who needs fancy combos in Elsword nowdays, right?

    Rest in piece, CU. Well, some of the other changes are good/decent, and there’s still all the unknown stuff(new skills, new combos, skill changes that aren’t logged).

      A buffed version of Atomic Shield’s damage increase effect (20% damage increase and an additional 10% to bosses) was added to Core procs for CU instead though.

          Which is the exactly amount of time that passes before the Core reappears when not using special actives (thanks to her level 70 Awakened Will passive), meaning you can upkeep it indefinitely with just actives, instead of maybe a 50% upkeep with Atomic Shield, and Atomic Shield required you to use up a slot for it.

        That crit dmg increase though, hoping that effect is moved into Atomic Blaster’s extra effects.
        For 300 MP, auto critting not just on normals seems kinda ok…. Add crt dmg to that….

        Hoping, but not really expecting….

        +100 MP seems nice for a change

      tbh im happy to see Ophelia (probably) getting another Solo Special active since Oberon has so many. also helps with CE bossing since she mainly spammed a 100MP and actives for dmg after she summoned (and assault spear also being pretty meh).

      but they are getting rid of so many actives so PVP must be done.

    if thats Sariel new 300 MP…….KoG really must want this game dead. a skill like that should be NO more than 200 MP, and im certaij the dmg wont justify it being 300 MP. not even a bossing skill.

          Bravery skill that does 6879% damage untraited against a non-stoic enemy, tiny hitbox, but at least has a Light trait.

          This one’s at least got range, can be used in midair, *might* have a second hit from the shockwave if that’s not just a purely visual effect.

          Or it might just be a rebranded Gyro Kick with the same damage but higher mp cost, I really need a video with actual numbers to see.

    This “reboot” looks like downgrade for DB and NW… Gg.

    Daybreaker
    “Rapid Shot” – 50 mp -> 160mp = less defensive and catch options for Daybreaker in pvp. Less creativity in playstyle. Also the skill cost triple times more but damage 200% ->270% means damage per mp nerf for that skill.

    “Visible Seed” – 30 mp -> 200mp = less catch and creativity options in pvp again. (visually looks poor)

    “Ace in the Hole” – no more usefull for clearing. Maybe will be viable for bossing at best.

    combos – hard to tell if they changed anything. Daybreaker needed to fix >>zx as I remember at least.

    Night Watcher
    “Eldrasil’s Fury” – 40 (24 with trait) mp -> 200 mp = less fancy combo options in pvp. They basicly turned it in second Karma… Why?? They should simply buff this skill’s damage for pve, so NW could made high damaging fun flex pve build with Delayed Fire stacks, you know, the whole point that skill had in the past.

    “Evoke” – 30 MP -> 160 mp = it was good pvp skill for catching and fancy combo potential, so pvp nerf again. But now it can give i-frames for 3 seconds to your teammates in pve – wooow, ty KoGs, what a crazy quallity pve change here.

    “Eradication” – forward slice removed, whatever.

        Well, in pve stinger kd only small enemies, big bosses just pushed back a bit with it or don’t move at all. And in pvp you could catch opponent after stinger, if you know how. About damage – Sonic Assault had better damage only because “heavy” trait, but still, for flex skill Rail Stinger damage was good. If you’ll calculate it’s damage per mp – it would be something equal to 11000% damage with 320mp cost bravery skill.

      Well, duh. I play as a CU without ever using AS because I never liked it, party can fend for themselves nowadays so it’s pointless anyway, using it in raid is clunky af and aura is just piss short so put that all away for a strength build is better.

      And that’s just my opinion, PvP can stay in the cesspool because it’s not salvageable lol

    i think whats disappointing about this is that they claim to have been working on this for seven months. In that span of time, nothing seems to be thought out, especially for the amount they just released. For a 7 month in-the-making reboot that they personally hyped up, it seems like at most classes got 2 new skills, couple reworked passives (most of which are copy paste that every class got), and smoother combos. Things we’ve literally witnessed KoG release in the span of a month. And before anyone attacks or goes “well skills take sometime to make”….if you look at the skill animations, most (with the exception of i think IM new skill ‘Phantom Dancing’) animations are reused of skills the classes already have.

    CU new skill looks like Extreme Cutter. Skills like Spear Burst and Taser were just given more damage, more MP cost and a small skill delay, butchered for PvP and no one is gonna use it endgame for PvE, and the fact they still function like Actives. CU and CS were given a 300MP that looks and feels like it should cost 250MP. DB trap skill animation looks like it were done by beginners on their first day on the job. Also DB new skill looks like Gungir(?).. theres more but lets end there.

    I wouldnt be shocked if they announced this reboot maybe a month before now, but for 7 months you can’t deny this is a little disappointing only given a few copy paste passives and new skills with the same animation and the combos are just smoother, not even every class got 1 new combo. Again, theres no “they did this in a rush” when they claimed to be in this works of this for MONTHS.

    ALL of that being said, I’m keeping in mind this is only the first batch, and KOG tends to “meh” the first batch. And either some classes are a little stronger or a lot stronger. I still have hope that they perfect the other classes, and some classes are gonna benefit from the smoother combos, like all Ain. but im really hoping they do more than copy-paste-add skill delay and also fix some classes preexisting problems in the future.

      And they butchered it for what? A shortrange skill that can’t even pierce enemies???

      Don’t get me wrong, it might become a ludicrous bossing skill for now, but losing her SIGNATURE CLEARING SKILL in the process just isn’t worth it. Doubly so if/when it gets nerfed into the ground like Gungnir did (and they really should’ve just changed mod Gungnir into this and left Ace in the Hole the hell alone).

      They never claimed to have been working on it for the past seven months. Heck, it makes no sense for them to have. The had planned for it to be a thing, like marking it on their todo calendar, but never did they say they were working on it the whole time. Especially considering that a region is launching during these reboots, that is something that might have been in development for several of those months.

      Someone seems to be forgetting they have +70 JOBS TO WORK WITH, just giving 2 Skills to the 3 3rd Jobs of a character (aka Mods) is already 74 new Skills to be created.
      Now remember pretty much every one gets an Andromeda (11 Skills since Laby already has), then 1st Jobs getting 1-2 (1 Skill per 1st Job= 3×12= 36 Skills), maybe 2nd Job gets a 1 reworked (Another 36 Skills), that’s not even accounting for Trans and Rose’s 4th Classes.

      They have their work cut out, if you main just one character ofc you not gonna notice it, if you have various alts (like me, TW, MT, IMM, TB, DG) you notice at macro it IS a lot work, just spread thin.

    So Elsword’s Way of the Sword gets a revamp but not Rena’s Nature Force? I was given to understand that Rena’s NF was in by far the underused and/or useless character system in the game.
    I’m not trying to bash Elsword as I don’t play him for all I know the changes to his WotS could have been desparately needed, but I feel like they should have taken the time to revamp Rena’s NF to a significant degree.

    A lots of the changes does seem pretty interesting, but overall this is just a big rebalance patch. People want the overhaul in the system itself. Well, there probably some ninja changes so I hoped to see more.
