  • Asuha says:

They should just focus on fixing game issues instead of this bullshit.

    • Kploxy says:

      i agree with ur comment

    • Flare Kyn says:

That’s assuming that it’s the main development team that’s working on this side content, which I honestly kinda doubt. Besides, some people are actually looking forward to this. A friend of mine even said that it seems fun.

      • Flare Kyn says:

Also, not every patch NEEDS to be an issue fix. If MMO developers were just trying to fix issues 24/7, then we wouldn’t be getting good content as often as we do. Game-breaking issues definitely should be fixed ASAP, but other stuff can be put on hold for a short time as long as it’s not indefinite.

      • leedongshin says:

nah main team is in another game that no one plays

        • Flare Kyn says:

Whether that’s true or not, they’re also working on this game’s 4th Paths. You don’t seriously think they’re actually leaving such major main game content to some side team, do you?

        • Cloud says:

Who asked for 4th paths? What we’ve always wanted was to be able to run the game and for their greedy intentions to be gone.

          • Flare Kyn says:

I did? Besides, it looks like the general reception of 4th Paths is positive.

          • Akira says:

Flare lowkey defends Kog for their horrible business decisions regardless of how it affects the playerbase. Ignore them.

          • Flare Kyn says:

            No I don’t?

          • Flare Kyn says:

I just don’t think they’re as bad as most of you guys are making them out to be. If I think a decision is bad, I’ll say so, but I’m not gonna just stay silent as people make something out to be way worse than it actually is.

          • Flare Kyn says:

Also, just because something initially hurts you doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s kinda like when your body’s so used to running on sugar for energy and it finally starts to work on burning the last of it after switching to a healthier diet. It’s not going to feel good, but if you power through it instead of giving in and going back to sugar, you’ll get to a point where you’ve never felt better.

          • Flare Kyn says:

Actually, I’ll give an example of one of KoG’s decisions I DON’T agree with right now.

Elrianode City. Freaking PAIN IN THE ASS Elrianode City.

Even with nearly 6 times the required CP for it, I still struggle before I get to 3rd Job. And even with some 3rd Jobs, I still struggle. It NEEDS a hard nerf. Either make the monsters there way easier to kill or make their attack patterns way less aggravating.

          • Flare Kyn says:

Actually, another thing I don’t like, Demersio’s Sublimation Passive. Giving double Combination while Awakened, I can understand, but you should NOT be able to have practically infinite Combination, at least not that easily.

          • Flare Kyn says:

I also don’t like Demersio’s Representation Passive, but for kind of the opposite reason. The ability sounds nice on paper, but… it’s actually not that great. I actually tend to forget about it most of the time simply because of how slow it fills Combination, and once you’ve triggered Sublimation, it doesn’t even matter anyway.

      • Asuha says:

Just in a word: financing. If you don’t know what has to be with that you don’t actually know how’s even a game development.

        • Flare Kyn says:

Sorry, the way your comment is worded is confusing me. What are you trying to say?

          • Asuha says:

Then you just don’t know how it works and you think they have an autonomy and unlimited resources.
As an every corporation, an invest always has to have a focus, so they did focus on this garbage, thrown money here like they did on Elrios battle pass. Even if it looks so small it has a lot of work behind.
Such money should’ve been invested on fixing nonsense bugs, giving proper balances (recent one is everything but a balance), counter botting, patching exploits (like that action speed one).
            But no, let’s just Pokémon.

          • Flare Kyn says:

“Then you just don’t know how it works and you think they have an autonomy and unlimited resources”

No, I meant I literally couldn’t understand what you were trying to say. Your wording was just really bad. And no, I don’t think that, and I never claimed that they did.

“As an every corporation, an invest always has to have a focus, so they did focus on this garbage, thrown money here like they did on Elrios battle pass. Even if it looks so small it has a lot of work behind.”

Everyone keeps calling this Pet PvP thing garbage, but nobody gives a concrete reason for it. It’s side content. And yes, there was quite a bit of work and effort put into it, but do you really think needed as much effort as actual big updates like new paths, regions, etc.? Yes, it’s going to cost them a bit of money to pay their workers for making it, but it’s not really going to dent their wallets, especially since there are actually people buying the Season Pass (it’s not “Battle Pass”).

“Such money should’ve been invested on fixing nonsense bugs, giving proper balances (recent one is everything but a balance), counter botting, patching exploits (like that action speed one).
            But no, let’s just Pokémon.”

This does NOT mean they aren’t doing that. As I’ve said multiple times, THIS IS LIKELY MADE BY A SIDE TEAM THAT DOESN’T WORK ON THE ACTUAL MAIN CONTENT!! I do agree that these things need to be fixed, but don’t just assume that the release of side content means that they’re not concerned about that stuff. As for botting, they have already taken some actions for that. It’s called the EP Shop. And before you say anything, yes, I would have preferred they prevent the use of bots in the first place, but that isn’t always realistically possible. They need time to figure out how to block bots, and even if they manage that, the bots will eventually be updated to get around it.

          • Flare Kyn says:

Btw, what action speed exploit were you talking about?

          • leedongshin says:

event dungeon is more fun tbh ,,,they should change to make all can participate( even with 1 pet)

  • The Giri says:

ayo pokemon available on sod? 8)

  • Gowen says:

    Haha, more garbage :)

    • Flare Kyn says:

      How is this garbage?

      • Lenny says:

        1. requires 3 pets in order to play
        2. generic bootleg version of a game that came out in the 90’s
        3. the rewards are abysmal (1 stam pot every 3 days)

        • Flare Kyn says:

          1. There are multiple free pets available to obtain. Yes, it takes a bit of work, but they’re still there.
          2. I’m assuming you mean Pokemon so correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that’s quite the case. Yes, there are similarities specifically with Pokemon, but this feels more like turn-based RPGs in general rather than Pokemon specifically.
          3. It’s side content that you aren’t required to play at all. Just like PvP.

          • leedongshin says:

at this point i think kog pay kyn to boost their image idk

          • Flare Kyn says:

I wish they paid me. I’m just saying what I genuinely think.

Also, why you calling me Kyn?

          • Flare Kyn says:

Even if I was being paid, that’s not even an argument. It’s not addressing anything that I said.

          • Lenny says:

pokemon is pretty much a turn based rpg, i dont know why you would defend that…? i am tackling the combat system of pokemon blue/red, i dont know what the actual game has to offer other than that

          • Flare Kyn says:

Yes, it is a turn-based RPG. I never implied it wasn’t. I was simply saying it felt more like turn-based RPGs IN GENERAL than Pokemon specifically.

          • @leedongshin It seems that I am not the only one who suspected this. lmao

          • Flare Kyn says:

            I!

            AM!

            NOT!

            BEING!

            PAID!

Even if I was, it doesn’t disprove anything I’m saying!

          • Labyrinth says:

            1. The amount of work to get the pets doesn’t justify the little rewards this mode provides. In general PVE content, having one pet with fetch aura is sufficient. The other two have no real use.

            2. If I want to play Pokemon, I’ll go play a real Pokemon game. The pet battle els provides is different and uninteresting compared to real pokemon games

            3. Side content are not required to have absymal rewards. In fact, with the little rewards this mode provides, this mode will likely be dead after the release events end.

Lastly, imagine coming back to old patch notes just to see if anyone replied to your old comments. This is not a forum. Do you live here?

          • TinyIbeu says:

Ngl feels like only whales are going to play this. And even then most of them will get bored of this. Honestly I wish they would do something PVP related like, More winners maps, New commands(THAT WORK. Like why do so many classes still have useless commands? 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 Bluhen 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡), Base PvP (Ppl have been asking about this for YEARS.), And maybe add Magic wardrobe costumes? (Is it called Magic Wardrobe?) Nobody asked for anything pet related. Nobody really cares for pets anymore so why add this??? If anything they should have added something new to master class or give us some new mods. Only 20% of ppl who play elsword are going to play this and 15% whales 5% ppl who love pets .-. and tbh we already have alot of side content. But the reason why nobody plays them is becuz 1. 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬𝐟 2. 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. and 3. 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝. This rpg bs is just a waste of time and money.

      • Cope says:

You haven’t even gotten the chance to play it yourself. What right do you have to defend it? Unless you’re part of the player base that’s high off copium and will defend everything to most thing KOG does despite how poor of a choice it is

        • Flare Kyn says:

First, I was simply asking him how it was garbage. That was not a defense, that was a question.

Second, by your logic, he hadn’t had a chance to play it either as it wasn’t even in KR when he made his comment, so what right did he have to bash it?

          Third, way to generalize, dude.

          • leedongshin says:

you need minimum 3 pet and newbie only have 1

          • Flare Kyn says:

You can still get free pets by doing event dungeons.

          • Flare Kyn says:

Also, as I said before, this is SIDE content. It’s not at all required, it’s just something that’s there if you want to do it.

    • Furerum says:

If we are talking about your comment then yes, more garbage.

  • xD says:

Honestly sounds fun, but many players expect free rewards or CP-Raids related content… I still would like to give a try.

  • leedongshin says:

lets make rooster fight turn based rock paper scissors

  • Kaka Carrot Cake says:

Stupid. Just stupid like the last update that removed ED from history to make NA whales sell ED for high real money outside the game. I think I’d better sell my account while there is still time.

    • Flare Kyn says:

The hell are you talking about? The ED reduction in story quests was meant to lower ED prices of player-sold items by making ED harder to farm. I barely understand how inflation works, but I still understand that less currency in circulation means cheaper items.

Also, what makes this update stupid?

      • Flare Kyn says:

Even MeteorFalcon says that it was a good idea.

        https://youtu.be/8TeZUhMwMuc

        • Shiyn says:

The ED reduction in story quests was meant to lower ED prices of player-sold items by making ED harder to farm? You are joking right? The prices are still the same… the only thing that change is the fact that now anyone cant buy anything because ED is hard to farm…

          • Flare Kyn says:

Dude, MeteorFalcon himself said prices were starting to drop. It’s not going to be instant, but it is working.

      • leedongshin says:

ed reduction is good but they should tell how to make money the problem is cost a alot of your time and getting less than endgame player(ofc but the gap is too big) newbie need more ed for building the gear if only kog can make something that bot cqnnot abuse it but yeah cant fix the bot lets punish everyone like usual

        • Flare Kyn says:

As MeteorFalcon said in his video, this is actually working. Prices of player-sold items are going down because of less ED in story. And while I do think the weekly quests could be way better, they’re still good for making endgame gear, which is a grind anyway because of the mats.

          • fumi says:

Anyone who pays attention to streamers as if they were their master would say that 🙄 As a typical player who is not affected by this for having money and an account with end game characters
It is true that the items on the board are going down in price, but the problem to enter at least Pruinaum Outskirts is still there and that you have to invest a lot of time, ED, real money anyway.
It’s very easy to say that farming ed was destroying the economy, but since the devs made it harder to upgrade (removing old blacksmith, ez way to get expensive stuff, more RNG systems like reforge) and make you have to drop a lot of money for a NOT GUARANTEED damage/cp/gear/Ice burners/ the players started farming story (or sell end game stuff at 1.999B)
Let’s be honest, even if the seeds, fluorites and other things drop in price the upgrade, reforge, attribute system would still suck making you spend 2B and up because you can’t get a lame +11 (0.7% official success chance, never forget that) and it is must to have to be able to make dungeons that the devs are working more on right now.( Pruinaum O, Tirnog, future raid region)

          • leedongshin says:

weekly quest < 1 hour sd = same ed

          • Flare Kyn says:

I’m talking about the Epic Quest ED Nerf, not the weekly quest.

          • Flare Kyn says:

Wait, I’m stupid. But while yes, you can get the same amount of ED through an hour of SDs, you have to farm the endgame dungeons anyway, so the weekly quests are a bonus to what you’re doing anyway.

          • Cloud says:

Do you not value your time at all? You get less ED and you still need to pay the same amount of ED on every ED sink the game has already. Besides having to spend the same ED on KC related items. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg

          • leedongshin says:

yeah but kog should balance newbie and endgame and fixing the bot problem

          • Flare Kyn says:

I’m honestly not quite sure what you mean by balancing the newbie and endgame, but fixing the bot problem, yeah, they should. And that’s part of what the ED nerf and EP shop were for. Yes, I’ll agree they’re not the perfect solution, but really, is there even a perfect solution? Yeah, they could update the anti-cheat, but then bots would just find another way around it. The ED nerf and EP Shop are a more immediate and more permanent solution.

          • leedongshin says:

i mean the ed farm they should do balance on both, newbie have harder stuff too sell and less if they increase sd ed just like before they nerfed it 1m+(mostly 1m in every dungeon)

they can get eventually but it takes lot of time very lot cuz lets be real no one have time to do 5-7 hour each day for farming without getting burnout i wish they making weekly ed character instead account or account shared but make it easier cuz they promise to make it newbie friendly in patchnote and even if u get it all quest done its not that much tbh

          • Flare Kyn says:

@fumi I didn’t see your comment until just now, but actually, I don’t watch MeteorFalcon’s stuff very often. And I AM affected by this, I’m mostly f2p. I can barely enter the first Pruinaum dungeon on my main, let alone Pruinaum Outskirts.

What was destroying the economy was BOT farming, not farming in general.

@Cloud Most of my time goes into leveling my characters/El Resonance. I’m not focusing on raising my CP or grinding for ED until either I need it right away or until I’ve got nothing else to do.

@Leedongshin To be fair, this is an MMO. MMOs are grindy by nature. I’m not at all saying this was a perfect solution, and they could have done better, but was it ACTUALLY that bad, or are you just overreacting?

        • Shanks Dungs says:

@fumi Thanks for that. You washed my soul. MeteorFalcon probably sees this as a good thing because he can do any endgame content without any problems. I bet he would see it as a bad move if he didn’t have a chara with 5m CP with some cash invested in the game.

          • Flare Kyn says:

I don’t even have 1m CP and I have bought Kching before (not often, but I have), and I still think it was a good move. Not a great one, mind you, but not bad either.

          • leedongshin says:

ed farm for newbie is kinda hard since they reduce ed raw from sd dungeon

  • DanYami says:

    gotta catch em all

looks fun tho ngl, I am not a pvp person but I may give this a try

when it arrives here in 6 months lmao

  • Pornflakes says:

My pets are gonna win this glorified Cock fight, Pendejos.

  • Cornhub says:

People still play this shit game? Man talk about being at a low.

Also that Flare person must be on their knees 24/7 for KoG if they have a need to respond to every comment. For sure taking multiple KoG employees as a bottom.

    • Shanks Dungs says:

I feel like he is a KOG/Elsword fanboy who doesn’t accept any kind of criticism about the game. He probably thinks that criticizing the game will cause it to shut down because it has too many criticisms or smh.. I know this because I had a friend who was just like him. He would always try to answer everyone to try to show that the game/devs are 100% right to change, even though everyone realized that this was wrong.

    • leedongshin says:

well if u see kr top player almost everyone is like flare guy ,until kog burst their bubble of comfort just like kog do woth emchantment everyone mad at kog newbie midgame endgame player etc but if it doesnt touch endgame ppl bubbles its none of their concern just like farming place endgame player can go to concert and do like 10 hours of meditation(a.k.a farming tasma to sell ) and its profit so much , the problem with kog is like they didnt fix both but instead sacrificing one for other in almost every update

je hae gwon was right about the reason why he left cuz he see it earlier about the playerbase and zero

    • Flare Kyn says:

… I’m not responding to every comment, and I’m not defending everything they do. I am not at all saying KoG is perfect, I’m simply saying that you guys need to stop assuming every freaking thing they do is a freaking mistake!

      • Whatever says:

That’s kind of the case though. And not just with Elsword, but you see a similar pattern of screw ups across every other game they’ve made that costs them a large portion of the player base. Every single one of their games, except, maybe like, Dimensional Chaser.

I don’t even know why I’m even writing this, the mods on this site are going to delete this, anyway, because the way I type is somehow “offensive”, or whatever.

      • Tea. says:

Just ignore them at this point Flare, or don’t I’m not really in any position to suggest this to anyone anyway. Like even though I may not like KOG these people are really and seriously making their anger and rage towards them talk instead of actually thinking about things. This Pet pvp is just side content, sure it may not be what people want, but for them to act like wild bloodthirsty animals over something so minor (AGAIN ITS SIDE CONTENT). This genuinely just also shows why people tend to leave the game. No one is willing to be open minded to the fact that KOG might improve or turn a new leaf. Saying ‘Elsword isn’t so bad’ nowadays would genuinely get someone killed seeing how these people react.

        • Flare Kyn says:

You’ve got a point. I’ve had to deal with this toxicity not just here on Babel, but even on Elwiki itself. Like, the admins legit yelled at me for something that wasn’t even breaking the rules at the time, and even accused me of treating my user page like a blog. I mean, sure, I had snippets of my characters’ backstories on my page for my accounts, but that was only something I was doing in addition to my main use for it: showing some of my in-game progress with my characters. Combined with some of the other shit I had to deal with from them, it just got to the point where I just up and quit being an Elwiki editor purely because I didn’t want to deal with it anymore.

    • MioBunny says:

As much as I literally only show up here to read the lulz and see some one like Flare try to defend this trash game, I wonder why some one would only show up to comment on a game they clearly don’t play anymore.

Like, there’s so much wrong with this game and it’s totally worth trashing but in this place your comment just feels like some one digging for trouble.

But yeah Flare seems to just be overdosing on copium. The new pet system is very likely done by a B team but I feel like even that effort could of been spent else where to help with the content drought people need. It’s great to get new jobs…assuming they don’t just trash on the characters we used to love like these do, but they really need to consider they need more justification than PVP fluffing.

Ahem…still, just like, I don’t get comments like yours.

      • Flare Kyn says:

“assuming they don’t just trash on the characters we used to love like these do”

??? What do you mean by this? Do you mean the 4th paths? If so, I don’t think they’re trashing on the characters. They all have logical reasons to exist. For example, with Genesis, we’ve already known that those being assimilated into the El lose their memories and personalities because of Hernia, and Elboy had already been confirmed to have a strong connection with the El that surpasses even the El Lady, so it makes sense that in a timeline where he chooses to try to utilize the power of El to its maximum potential, he’d end up losing himself to the El. And despite how tragic it is, I… actually like it. It shows how ones actions have consequences. Same with Code: Antithese. She chose to use Code: Unknown and lost core parts of her base code as a result, which she had to replace. Even Revenant and Demersio make a lot of sense when you think about them. Lord Azoth is kinda iffy, but it’s not really that much of a stretch. And Surya… Surya is basically just Magical Apsara, at least story-wise.

  • MarieWolf_94 says:

but why though? i mean, it seems cute and fun at least i guess, but still…

    • Flare Kyn says:

I mean, why not? I’m pretty sure it’s a side team working on this, and more side content isn’t gonna hurt the game.

      • lolme says:

i hope they focus manpower to actual problem of elsword instead half working on pet battle i hope they changed to pet from account like closers

        • Flare Kyn says:

It’s… not just about manpower. Even among coders, different people are good at different things. Plus, if you have too many people focusing on one thing without a set idea in mind of how it should be done, you get a lot of clashing viewpoints and it ultimately delays what they’re working on. Sometimes it’s better to have a team spread out than all grouped together.

  • SadPepe says:

Man i wish i was sponsored by KOG like Flare Kyn to say good things and get paid :V
I could probably buy 10 houses since KOG never seems to do anything that useful with the money

  • Jenova says:

Watching these comments is like watching clowns have sex. It’s bad, it’s funny and it makes no sense.

  • HaZen says:

Wow. Another awful system/extra nonsense implemented by Nexon and people defending terrible business decisions. The character balancing is already terrible alongside their unorganized release of the 4th path. Doesn’t matter if people support or don’t support every terrible decision they make since Elsword developers only listen to the small fraction of whalers anyway.

  • Unimportant says:

Man this place is like a warzone, full of people with different views. You know what would be nice? If that war just suddenly went silent out of pure apathetic self centeredness. No care of this KoG person, No care of this game. Just pack the bags, leave the game and move on to the next life. Out of big self respect, and arrogance of worth that your time is not worth being spent here. This trivial spew could be gone.
