Both Lu and Ciel's version of the skill can hit above platforms, but not below it. Ciel's version can also hit slightly behind him.
Lu's version is much faster than Ciel's, allowing it to be used during combos better. Ciel's on the other hand has a very delayed lingering hitbox, so it can catch opponents off-guard in PvP.
