This passive affects anything that use ammo such as combos, Actives, and Special Actives.
- When the reload triggers, you'll hear a reloading sound as you consume the Cannonball.
Even though it says it reloads at the use of ammo, Remodel Magazine will not work alongside it, so you can't gain Cannonballs.
Even if you use more than one Cannonball at once (ie Shooting Star or Quantum Ballista), you'll only reload one Cannonball.

Gas Piston System's skill icon uses the design of Shelling Guardian/Tactical Trooper's cannonballs, despite that Deadly Chaser has no interaction with Echo.
