Every character in Elsword has their own unique features that set them apart from other characters.

Basic Information

Power System is a system exclusive to Ain which allows him to switch between "Cycle Magic" and "Creation Magic". When in default state, attacking enemies will increase the green bar. After the green bar is maxed out, it will turn blue and you will shift into Creation Mode. During this time, you will be able to switch between Cycle and Creation magic with the V key (default key).

Unlike other characters, Ain only has 1 bead for awakening. He however can awaken during his awakening and ascend another stage.

  • Ain stats (except HP, Attack, Defense) are increased by a certain percentage.
    • Critical, Maximize, Additional Damage, Damage Reduction +15%
    • Action Speed, Movement Speed, Jump Speed +15% (Unnormalized)
    • MP Gain on Attack, MP Gain on Hit, Awakening Charge +20% (Normalized)
    • Awakening Time: 16% (Normalized)
  • Power gauge is consumed every second
  • Can consume Power Gauge for an additional dash in mid-air.


Power: Creation Magic

Ain's appearance in Creation Magic
  • When you use Command / Active attacks, additional hits will occur that do not inflict hitstun.
    • Melee attacks will cause one of the following afterimages to appear:
      • Piercing Slash : 213% Physical Damage
      • Upper Slash : 192% Physical Damage
      • Stab : 78% Physical Damage x3 (Always lands a critical hit)
    • Ranged attacks will cause one of the following projectiles to appear:
      • El's Bow : 90% Physical Damage x3
      • El's Spirit : 292% Physical
      • El's Spear : 119% Physical Damage x3 (Always lands a critical hit)
  • On the final hit of a Special Active, causes 3 homing bullets to appear that inflict hitstun
    • Homing Bullet : 256% Magical Damage x3
    • Cooldown : 5 seconds
  • Every time one of the above attacks land a hit, they will drain a portion of the Power Gauge.
  • All Creation Mode additional hits have their damage reduced by 40% in PvP.
  • All Creation Mode additional hits are affected by All Skill Damage Increase effects.


Spiritualism


Unlike other characters, Ain only has 1 bead for awakening, and will not receive a 20% damage bonus to his skills while in awakening. Once Ain awaken, his appearance and movement will change. He will also activates buffs depending on the phase of the awakening. Re-Awakening is possible when Ain is already in Awakening. When re-awakening, the awaken timer will reset, however receiving a awakening potion or 'Fever' will increase the timer. While in the 2nd and 3rd phase of awakening, filling the awakening orb will cause it to blink. (Effects that grant Phase 3 upon initial Awakening, like Ring of Fury, also cause it to blink. Wavering Faith does not cause it to blink, likely due to its reliance on the Seed of Chaos.) Speed, Critical, Maximize buffs at Stage 3 Awakening are multiplicative.

Appearance

Even when not wearing the promo avatar, upon awakening you will gain the appearance of the awakened mode. However if you are wearing back accessories (Ex. Wings, capes), they will be displayed during the first and second stage of awakening.

  • This is reversed as Bluhen, giving an incomplete version of his Spiritualism wings in his first stage and an incomplete version of his crown in the second stage, replacing the back and head accessories respectively, while the third stage will give the promotional costume's appearance and complete his wings and crown.

Tips and Details

  • Unlike a Reckless Fist with Subliminal Rage, the duration of Ain's Awakening is always fixed upon activation as opposed to stacking on the pre-existing duration.
  • While all other melee attacks (including Abschluss) trigger Creation Mode's afterimage attacks, Ain's getup Z/X attack will trigger the projectiles instead.
  • If the Ring of Fury is equipped, Ain will automatically enter Awakening Stage 3 upon the first awakening. This also applies to Fever.
