Skill Quest
You will notice several skills with a padlock symbol on it. These skills are called Locked Skills. Normally, you cannot upgrade nor obtain that certain skill. In order to unlock a Locked Skill, you need to complete a series of quests for each skill. It is recommended to do these quests in a party as it is easier, takes less time, and consumes less stamina. The item requirements for skill quests involve items with guaranteed drop rates. The Skill Quests are the same for all classes, with the exception of Laby, who has a different set of quests based on her exclusive dungeons.
Once completed, you will receive a Secret Manual that can unlock the skill. Alternatively, you can obtain the Secret Manual by purchasing it from the Item Mall. You will automatically unlock the skill but they can only be bought separately. There are no skills that are cash-exclusive. Cash is simply an optional method to skip these Quests.

Base Job Skill Quest
Level 20 Layer Skill (Level Requirement: 20)
- Buy one Basic Training Application from Camilla for 20,000 ED.
- Find 1 of Camilla's Missing Documents from the monsters in Bethma dungeons.
- Collect 1 Essence of Basic Skill from any Boss in Bethma dungeons.
- Collect 1 Power Sphere from any Boss in Bethma dungeons.
- Clear any Bethma dungeon with a rank of B or higher once.
- Completing this quest will give you Camilla's Secret Manual (Basic).
1st Job Skill Quest
Level 30 Layer Skill (Level Requirement: 30)
- Buy one Intermediate Training Application from Camilla for 100,000 ED.
- Find 1 of Camilla's Missing Documents from the monsters in Altera~Feita dungeons.
- Collect 1 Essence of Intermediate Skill from any Boss in Altera~Feita dungeons.
- Collect 1 Mystical Stone from any Boss in Altera~Feita dungeons.
- Complete any Altera~Feita dungeon with a rank of B or higher 2 times.
- Completing this quest will give you Camilla's Secret Manual (Intermediate).
2nd Job Skill Quests
Level 45 Layer Skill (Level Requirement: 45)
- Buy one Advanced Training Application from Camilla for 140,000 ED.
- Find 1 of Camilla's Missing Documents from the demons in Feita ~ Velder dungeons.
- Collect 2 Essence of Advanced Skill from any Boss in Feita ~ Velder dungeons (excluding Underground Garden).
- Collect 2 Essence of Darkness from any Boss in Feita ~ Velder dungeons (excluding Underground Garden).
- Clear any Feita ~ Velder dungeon with a rank of A or higher once.
- Completing this quest will give you Camilla's Secret Manual (Advanced).
Level 60 Layer Skill (Level Requirement: 60)
- Buy one Expert Training Application from Camilla for 300,000 ED.
- Find one of Camilla's Missing Secret Manual by defeating any Boss in Hamel ~ Sander dungeons (excluding Sunken Resiam).
- Collect 2 Essence of Dormant Skill from any Boss in Hamel ~ Sander dungeons (excluding Sunken Resiam).
- Collect 2 Essence of Evil from any Boss in Hamel ~ Sander dungeons (excluding Sunken Resiam).
- Clear any Hamel ~ Sander dungeon with S rank or higher 2 times.
1st Hyper Active (Level Requirement: 60)
- Clear 5 dungeons within level range.
- Collect 5 Intense Energy from any Boss in Sander dungeons. (Level Requirement: 61)
- Defeat 5 Sander Bosses. (Level Requirement: 62)
- Clear dungeons within level range with SS rank 5 times. (Level Requirement: 63)
- Clear 10 Secret Dungeons.
- Final Quest: Collect 3
El's Essences (this is the same item required each time you use a Hyper Active skill and is obtained by dismantling any identified El Shard) and Hyper Key and talk to Glave.
- Completing this quest will give you Ultimate Secret Manual.
Transcendence Skill Quests
Level 80 Layer Skill (Level Requirement: 80)
- Clear 3 dungeons within level range (excluding Ruben/Henir/Ereda).
- Collect 7 Flame Packed Pouch from any Boss in Lanox dungeons.
- Collect 15 Strength Emblem from any Mini Boss in Lanox dungeons.
- Recommended 9-6 as it has the most mini-bosses.
- Collect 5 Ultimate Potion from any Boss in Lanox dungeons.
- Clear any Lanox dungeons with S rank or higher 3 times.
- Completing this quest will give you Forbidden Secret Manual (I).
Level 90 Layer Skill (Level Requirement: 90)
- Clear 3 dungeons within level range (excluding Ruben/Henir/Ereda).
- Collect 3 Micro Nasod Energy Device from any Boss in Atlas region dungeons.
- Collect 15 Limit Data from any Mid Boss in Atlas region dungeons.
- Recommended 10-3 as it has the fastest way to the mini-Boss.
- Collect 5 Forbidden Potion from any Boss in Atlas region dungeons.
- Clear any Atlas region dungeons with S rank or higher 3 times.
- Completing this quest will give you Forbidden Secret Manual (II).
3rd Job Skill Quest
2nd Hyper Active (Level Requirement: 99)
- Defeat 3,000 monsters in Elrianode dungeons. (Excluding 11-1)
- Clear 11-1 10 times.
- Clear 11-5 5 times and Heroic Dungeon 10 times.
- Clear 11-6 10 times.
- Clear 20 Elrianode dungeons with S rank or higher.
Mod Skill (Level Requirement: 99)
These skills are not locked. This quest is just an alternative to get these skills.
These skills are also obtainable from exchanging Secret Manual: [Mod] Force (A) books at Camilla.
