Chapter 42: Reunion
Elsword, Raven, Eve and Add arrive at Elysion, where they are greeted by Solace and Hernia, but Elsword isn't excited about meeting the El Lady. Solace tells Elsword that Henir's Order is not the only enemy after the El, but questions where he came from, why did he arrive only now, why did he try to fix the El just now.
After doing their goals, Elsword is surprised to see Ain appearing after regaining consciousness, and reveals that since the portal was unstable, it must've taken his El energy. Add and Elsword haven't apologized yet, although Eve questions why Adrian provided Add with the device.

- Solace: After the Great Explosion, there were barely any Elrians that had enough power to become a Master. I believed that was a natural consequence of the El being split into multiple pieces.
- Elsword: You already said that.
- Solace: ... But then I found you. You're a Rubenian like me. You were born where the El energy was concentrated, therefore holding great power. You were comparable to the Elrians who were born before the Great Explosion.
- Elsword: Wait... So I do have what it takes to become a Master?
- Solace: That is why I was watching you on your journey. You are more closely related to the El than you think. Other than the El Lady, there hasn't been a single being who resonated with the El to the point they could restore the El. That's not something a Master nor a Priestess can do.
- Elsword: Wait, if that's the case... What am I? How did I do it?
- Solace: Hm...... Did you know? Before the El Explosion, Henir's Order were not the only enemies that the Masters had to face.
- Elsword: There were even more people who wanted to steal the El?
- Solace: In a sense, yes. The El had unlimited power and potential, so people all over the world gathered to use the El for their own gain. Some wanted to use the El for a noble cause, but others wished to exploit the power. Leaders from different countries would demand to use the El and justify their cause... There were even bandits who snuck in, to steal even a small fragment of the El. One of the duties of an El Master was to stop those from using the El for personal gains.
- Elsword: I guess people are the same everywhere you go.
- Solace: Yes, but you didn't show the same desire.
- Elsword: Of course not! I had no reason to!
- Solace: Is that so?
- Elsword: Uh... Yeah! I mean... I had a duty as an El Search Party member to find and protect the El!
- Solace: I'm sure that is not the only reason. Many see their potential within the El. Some wish to gain wealth and authority, while others seek to spend their life faithfully dedicated to the El. It's not necessarily wrong to think that way. Since it is a power without a price that's well within reach. It's only natural to react in some way, when you are well within the influence of the El. But you were different. You accepted the El as is, and placed the safety of the El as your priority, to the point that you readily sacrificed your life.
- Elsword: But I'm not the only one like that. The El Lady... and the El Masters and Priestesses are doing their best to stabilize the El.
- Solace: But they do not have the power to restore the El. It is I who wants to ask you. What are you? Why do you wish to restore the El so fiercely?
- Elsword: Huh...?
- Solace: Why didn't you appear all this time since the El Explosion, only to appear now? Your pure dedication to the El... Your unwavering determination... Where does it all come from?
