Velder

Velder is the largest city Lurensia and the capital of the Velder Kingdom. The capital houses the Earth Priestess Artea as well at the Earth El.

Hearing word from Ariel, the El Search Party were informed that that Velder had been overrun by demons. The energy resonating from the city feels much like the darkness that plagued Feita. The city has fallen into disarray and the demons have launched a surprise attack from the inside. The El Search Party must put a stop to the demon's rampage before the capital is lost.

Chapter 10: Velder is in danger

Velder, the Capital City, has fallen under the Demon Forces who have been hiding the stolen El Shards. Residents have set up a station on the outskirts of Velder so that they can have better access to the Kingdom. They planned to attack from the residential areas first.

Description

The capital of Velder is already invaded by Demons and the Leader of the Centurion Guards has temporarily retreated. They are waiting for the opportunity to attack again. Vanessa is having difficulty breaking through the Demons defenses. Let's find a way to defeat the Demons and enter the palace. Let's pass through the Residential Area 3 to approach Hope Bridge.

Quest Acceptance Dialogue
  • Raven: How is the situation? I heard there's an unknown army that suddenly appeared.
  • Vanessa: Velder housed the largest El Shard of all, the Earth El but one day swarms of creatures just kept pouring out of the room that kept the El Shard.
  • Elsword: An inside job... They caught us off guard, I wonder if they are the same ones from Feita?
  • Vanessa: Even our best Knights were unable to contain the massive number of demons that poured out of our Castle's Walls. We were forced to move outside the Castle Walls and make camp here.
  • Raven: We have to hurry, looks like the situation is similar to Feita.
  • Vanessa: You've mentioned this before.. But what happened in Feita?
  • Elsword: The demons opened a portal using the Dark El in Feita's Shrine. Their objective was to move massive armies to Elrios.
  • Rena: I'm sure they opened a gate to the demon world in the room where the Earth El is. We have to quickly get to the Palace and close it!
  • Aisha: The Earth El in Velder is known to be the biggest of all the El Shards.. If this becomes a Dark El, the power is holds will be unimaginable.
  • Eve: I sense a bigger energy flow than Feita. We must hurry.
  • Vanessa: Understood. We're formed an alliance with our Knights and outside aid. Our first priority is moving back inside the Castle. Please go inside the Castle and clear enough demons to clear a path for us inside.

  • Eve: By going through the 3rd Residential District I have secured a safe path to the Palace.
  • Vanessa: Wouldn't have thought to find a path between each wall to get inside.. Your determination fascinates me.
  • Rena: Isn't there and Earth Priestess in Velder? If we were to find out about the Earth El's status, she would be the best candidate.
  • Vanessa: This... is top secret but with the demons invasion happened, the Earth Priestess went missing. We've had no time to look for her, since the demon invasion no one has seen her. (Listen to scout's report) What? All of the First Squad..?
  • Elsword: What's that?
  • Vanessa: We sent soldier to scout out the path you suggested but they were all killed by Demons with Black Bandanas.. They said they saw a Shadow really quickly, would you take care of them for us?
  • Vanessa: We've stopped the Assassins but there are demons hidden between buildings ambushing our allies.
  • Aisha: Ambush from the dark! You demons!
  • Vanessa: We can't fight them like this. Rumors has it that Noel the Bard is actually a very skilled tactician, would you please ask him for his help?

  • Noel: If it is the demons I guess I have no choice. Go check out the large Glitter that commands all the demons. He commands his army in a unique way. He uses music to command soldiers nearby.
  • Eve: They are using their weird curse waves to communicate.. This will make it easier for them to order the soldiers around.
  • Noel: If you just take care of him and his elites, the battle should become easier. I also have a favor, could you go and find the musical sheet for their army.
  • Raven: They've deciphered the code and brought confusion to the army... Impressive.

Description

While you were trying to cross the Hope Bridge to Velder Palace, a large group of Demons has ambushed you. There is nowhere to run on this bridge, so get ready to fight for your life. Let’s defeat the Demons and cross the Hope Bridge.

  • Vanessa: Did their line of defense already crumble? Noel is definitely a veteran.
  • Rena: He seems to know how to weaken demons pretty well.. Although he doesn't look all that earnest.
  • Vanessa: In order to get to the Velder Castle our next plan is to cross the Bridge of Hope. The enemy know how important this bridge is and my reports say they have secured the perimeter around it.
  • Elsword: Grr.. If it is the only entrance to the Palace you can bet there will be a lot of Demon Soldiers.
  • Vanessa: Our soldiers witnessed some elegant but fierce archers in the vicinity, please be careful.
  • Eve: Your heart is racing. Elsword, you're just... sigh.
  • Rena: You finally crossed the line! You cursed Dark Elves!

  • Elsword: Good, let's get through them before they form a proper defensive line!
  • Aisha: It's just a fence, I'll burn them all down!
  • Vanessa: Thanks to you, it has become easier to attack but we are still under threat. We must weaken their defenses even more.
  • Vanessa: Our allies formed a barricade around the bridge... But the enemy Glitter Assassins and Dark Elf Sentinels are trying to weaken our defenses
  • Elsword: Assassin squad.. that is too fast for the eye to see.. This won't be easy.
  • Aisha: The soldiers are in fear, they were defeated too quickly.
  • Raven: Our troop's morale will be crushed before the battle even begins, we can't let that happen.
  • Vanessa: Yes, if we don't take care of them now they will constantly be a threat to us.

  • Vanessa: Our Allies have almost taken over the bridge completely. We just need to clear out the rest of the demons before we make our advance to the castle.

  • Elsword: The soldiers didn't seem well trained, we just need to take out their commander and the rest should be cake!
  • Vanessa: If you can break their line of defense then our soldiers can advance and finish the job.

Chapter 11: Kingdom in captivity

Chapter 11

When Elsword and his Party reached the Kingdom, it was already burning, and the Evil Forces and the Dark Elves were to blame. After numerous fights, they finally retrieved the Evil Force plans and decided to enter through the Southern Gate, seeing there were only a few guards there. Soon after, the Party arrived at the Southern Gate and realized that it was a trick and found all the guards waiting for them there. The guards were almost all defeated until Chloe summoned the Dark Nephilim. They used magic and previously learned skills to destroy the Dark Nephilim and escaped the Southern Gate. The Centurion of Velder named Vanessa asked the El Search Party to deliver a rescue letter all the way across the sea to the other side of the continent.

Description

After you've finally crossed Hope Bridge to the Palace Entrance, you are greeted by raging flames and destruction instead of the beautiful street that once led ot the palace. The Palace Entrance is under attack, so let's ignore the Demons at the gate and get to the castle right away!

  • Vanessa: The path to the Castle is open... That Fire looks weird.
  • Aisha: Look! Oh no, the outskirts of the Palace are in flames!
  • Vanessa: No.. At this rate the castle won't be safe!
  • Raven: Troops are panicking.. The tide of the battle has changed..
  • Rena: It would be reckless to move our troops into that sea of fire.. What should we do..?
  • Vanessa: First.. First, we need to see if the Castle is safe, please enter the Castle and see if it is safe.
Quest Completion Dialogue
  • Elsword: Glitter Vanguard is blocking the entrance to the Palace.. We couldn't advance.
  • Vanessa: The Castle is in.. flames... If.. If I was a stronger...

  • Vanessa: Is that true? Then we just have to get rid of those spirits and the flames will die down.
  • Noel: Just defeating them is not enough, if they have just a little bit of Fire Spirit around them they will come back.
  • Vanessa: We have to stop any more damage from being done to the Castle. We just have to take care of the Fire Spirits nearby and we can stop the fire spreading.
  • Noel: Look at you.. What happened?
  • Vanessa: Be careful. Your clothes might catch on fire. I'll ask the Soldiers to prepare some water, please this way.
  • Raven: N.. No.. It's okay.
  • Vanessa: Thank you, the fire should spread a bit slower now. I'll advance our soldiers once the fire is under control.
  • Vanessa: A demons is defeating our soldiers. None of my soldiers can stop it
  • Rena: We finally got near the Kingdom's entrance.. Who is it now?
  • Vanessa: It's a Glitter.
  • Noel: What? Just from a single glitter?
  • Vanessa: A surviving solder told us that when the Glitter won a battle he said his name was Mcgard. He acted alone and only went for the strongest soldiers in the squad.
  • Noel: I guess there are demons of different types. I'm guess he just wanted to test his strength.
  • Vanessa: That's right, you can guess once he takes out all my skilled soldiers it will be disastrous. Please go defeat him.
  • Raven: <Chuckle> Let's go.
  • Noel: You really won! Hahah!.
  • Raven: Hmph, I can take on three at once.
  • Elsword: I got four... ah!
  • Aisha: This is not time for jokes!

  • Eve: That's right, they're not as strong as our kind but they are specialized in battling in the city.
  • Vanessa: Completely destroy it so it cannot move again. We have to get inside the Castle this time!

  • Vanessa: We can't do anything, we have refugees and injured soldiers. We need to deal with him somehow in order to retreat.
  • Vanessa: Thanks to you, we have successfully crossed the bridge.
  • Raven: <Sigh> Somehow made it.
  • Elsword: Uh oh, everyone's confused!
  • Raven: We were preemptively attacked and also lost on a strategic level.
  • Vanessa: Attention! Let's review our plan. Our one and only objective is to drive the Demons out of Velder! To do that we need to first. Retain as many Soldiers as we can in order to secure the City once we retake it. Do your best to keep your current forces without as much casualty!
  • Noel: There's the trusty leader that we were looking for. Haha.
  • Eve: A great leader... Now I understand.
  • Rena: Sigh, I guess so.
  • Noel: Vanessa said we have to neutralize the siege tower and retreat to minimize casualties.
  • Noel: Good work, now the refugees and retreating soldiers are out of the siege tower's range.

  • Noel: Demonic spell? Velder's Alchemist Grail might have an answer for you.
  • Noel: What do you think, Grail?
  • Grail: Sip... You say he summoned a puppet? He stores him soul inside one of the dolls. You should destroy the puppet and get a hold of his real spirit and if you destroy the soul after you should rid of him permanently.
  • Eve: The puppet and the fancy look is to hide this trick.. Impressive, puppy.
  • Grail: Ahem..! If you get a hold of Crazy Puppet's soul fragment, could you bring it to me? I'll take care of it.

  • Elesis: To make it brief, I was on a solo mission to investigate the demons and that led me here.

  • Raven: What? 1st Commercial District is in trouble as well?
  • Vanessa: Our soldiers have entered the 1st Commercial Area but that area is already taken over by the vicious Demon Knight, Spriggan.
  • Elesis: This is bad... The soldiers won't be able to defend the refugees while retreating.
  • Vanessa: We have no where to retreat to now. We've already lost the 3rd Residential Area.. If we lose this one too our army will scatter.
  • Aisha: We just have to take care of Spriggan, right? The red haired kid will take care of the rest.
  • Vanessa: Demon Knight Spriggan is very dangerous, you must never let your guard down.
  • Grail: They may have a small frame and look weak but demons are actually quite strong and vicious.

  • Grail: Right, and that can lead us to the demon's unreasonable attacks... sip.

  • Grail: This elixir is to drug their enemies and take control of them using a powerful necromancy spell. Once they are under their control they become their mindless soldiers.

  • Aisha: I thought those enraged eyes were a trait of demons but they were controlled by necromancy..?
  • Grail: They are really determined this time, they're going all out..
