Ain's Halted Sun's Memory Clear Line

> According to CoboDex, Ain doesn't even have a clear line programmed for this dungeon. But I'm pretty sure one does appear when he clears it, so idk what's going on.

Yahooo, I ran the dungeon five times on my Ain just to double-check, and all he says is "..."

It's... not quite the same as "(...)" but.

Here's a screenshot of one of the clears: https://i.imgur.com/vDbEgpc.png

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

What I meant was that idk how a clear line is appearing for him when there's apparently none programmed in for him for that dungeon according to CoboDex, which Ritsu says is updated automatically.

Also, that's the exact same one listed on the page for Halted Sun's Memory (there are no parenthesis).

G123u (talkcontribs)

Ahh, I misunderstood your comment. I assume what Ritsu means by there's "no clear line programmed" is that the game just defaults to "..." / "(...)"?

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

The reason I say that there's no clear line programmed for him is because if you go to the CoboDex page for Halted Sun's Memory and look at the section for the clear lines, Ain doesn't even have a tab there.

Ritsu (talkcontribs)

Either clear lines are inherited directly from the base difficulty, or they use the normal difficulty for this dungeon. I'll check it later. Ain has this clear line when the dungeon is on normal difficulty.

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

I was talking about the normal difficulty.

Ritsu (talkcontribs)

Yes, but dungeons have 3 difficulties under the hood. They somehow decide which one to pick based on dungeon. All this comes from an update that made everything pre-Elysion default to Expert. I'm not sure how to handle this yet.

Ritsu (talkcontribs)

Seems like they are inherited, but I don't know how to implement it without manually assigning each dungeon to its difficulty and original dungeon. Their data structure criminally sucks.

I might rework it when I'm bored. For now, certain lines may indeed not appear if they were added into a different mode than is available in Ruben~Elysion.

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

I have uploaded some more clear lines in my Google Drive folder. This time I also have some Heroic Mode and an Event Dungeon Clear Line. For the Heroic Mode Clear Lines, I'd personally recommend making a sub-tab within the Clear Lines tab. I'll post the link again since this is a different topic, but from now on I'll add a new reply to this topic when I get more clear lines. I haven't actually checked to see if any of these lines are already up here or not, so I apologize if there are any that are (I'll try to make sure I only get un-added lines in the future, but I had a lot this time and I've had these in my screenshots folder for a long time).

Like last time, please let me know when all of the lines have been added so I can delete them.

G123u (talkcontribs)

It looks like the Lu/Ciel victory line for ELSTAR Showcase is already on the wiki, so that one can be deleted. I'll start on the Normal folder first! As for the Heroic lines, maybe we can put them on their respective dungeon pages, with a tt indicating that they're in Heroic Mode only?

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

Ah. I had actually made a suggestion about the Heroic lines when I made this topic, but I guess it was easy to miss. Though I suppose I should probably clarify a bit on it anyway.

My idea was to split the "Dungeon Victory Quote" section into two sub-tabs, one for normal Clear Lines and one for Clear Lines exclusive to Heroic Mode, with the normal Clear Lines appearing by default.

G123u (talkcontribs)

Oh! I see what you mean; my apologies, I misunderstood your initial suggestion. That would work, too! Or maybe even just dividing up the section with headers, like the mid-dungeon dialogues. 🤔
Tangentially related, but Eve's Hall of El clear quote is already on the wiki so that image can be deleted as well.

G123u (talkcontribs)

All the lines in the "Normal" folder have been added to the wiki! o7
There is one exception: I wasn't sure if the "Normal > Elsword > Volcanic Flame Entrance" is from the dungeon normally? Or is it a generic heroic dungeon clear quote? Aside from that though, all that's left is the Heroic lines. ( ' ^ '

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

Elboy only uses generic lines for Phantasmal Geyser, and Heroic Mode uses the dungeon's clear lines.

Edit: Actually, looking at it again, I now understand why you're confused, and now I am too. I suppose we should just leave that one alone for now until we know for sure.

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

I went ahead and added the Heroic Mode lines myself. Turns out the ones I got for dungeons exclusive to Heroic were already on the wiki, though. Anyway, thanks a lot for doing this for me.

I Collected Some Elboy/Aisha Clear Lines A While Back

G123u (talkcontribs)

You left your IGNs in the screenshots!

I've got some free time and I'm procrastinating on the costume pages so I can help add them! I'll start with Aisha's.

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

I don't think that's a good thing to joke about.

Thank you for doing this for me. I just noticed that some of the lines I took screenshots of were already on the wiki, which I assume were added after I took them since I haven't been paying attention to them for a while, so can you let me know when you finish with these ones?

G123u (talkcontribs)

..You're right, I was being too forward and that was rather insensitive of me, my apologies. I just finished Resiam Outskirts. I can post another message in this thread when I've finished the others. o7

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

I think they want the clear lines to be typed up with the exact wording that's used in the game. There are some clear lines with genuine in-game typos, which is why I included some invisible notes about said typos on their respective pages.

G123u (talkcontribs)

It is all done now! \o/

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

Thanks. Now I can delete these images.

Kuro (talkcontribs)

It was explicit in Overmind 5/5 last part.

Shironsaki (talkcontribs)

The defaults keys should be left there because the wiki states them as the default. the wiki does not account for people preference if they want to change themselves.

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

Your edit description was kinda rude, tbh.

Anyway, thinking about it, what about using the tt template? Specifically, having it so that the key that the message defaults to is shown when hovering the mouse over it.

Shironsaki (talkcontribs)

there no need to change anything as its a table to show when you are at which class and pressing which key will give that message.

FlareKyn (talkcontribs)

But again, you can have any message on any key. You can even have all four keys use the same type of message if you wanted to. The way it is now just makes it seem like Praise can only be on F5, Thank You can only be on F6, etc., especially if you skip the paragraph at the top of the page.

Shironsaki (talkcontribs)

I know you can set any message on any key. But the wiki is suppose to put what is defaulted there. Its up to the reader to read the first paragraph. Anyways if someone ingame wants to change e.g praise to the 1st job, they should see that they can set any message.

You need to differentiate "ingame" unique voicelines and other media. For ingame they will have unique voicelines for the region they join or for their own storyline. This also will follow their canon classes.
Eve: Join during altera, so has altera voicelines.
Add: His story started in elder but in the background, thats why he has his own unique voicelines.
Rose: she was teleported to altas at the start, thats why she has voicelines there.
Elesis: Officially join the party at velder, she (and i quote) "train and command the Velder Knights stationed at Feita". So technically she didnt fight Durahan Knight, Amethyst, or Berthe.

Shironsaki (talkcontribs)

I'll rephrase it. They will only have unique voicelines if they are part of the Elsword & Co. storyline.
For Eve case, those voicelines before Altera Core is already explained in her trivia. She visits those locations during the before joining quest.
Elesis only has voicelines in Velder because thats where she join the party and are part of the main storyline. We should wait for her before join side quest to find out more about her before Velder or if she fought any boss in Fieta.
Add shadows the main cast, so he is technically part of the main storyline.
Rose follows the old before revamp story. As she appeared in Altas during the old story, they just added unique voicelines and therefore its just there.

The unique voicelines are also tied to the canon path, so your argument about Crimson Avenger is already wrong.
