Dekal Countermeasure
In Hero dungeons, Dekal is one of the hardest boss to deal with, and thus need to understand how to deal with him.
I've met a lot of teammates demise, because they own too strong of a weapon and never studied decal properly (as in normal dungeon Dekal got killed before doing anything).
- Cube Release: Dekal will release 8 energy cubes as projectiles in a 180° arc.
- Stay away and slips into the gap between each cubes. Takes too much time though.
- Dodging with skills' invincible frame is recommended, especially for melee characters.
- Cube Explosion: Dekal will release energy cubes onto the ground as it moves, releasing blue energy fields that will damage anyone standing on it.
- After floating and before moving to drop the cubes, he is flinch-able, use commands or skills that deal consecutive hitstuns. If done correctly will prevent any cube to be dropped, saving your teammates too.
- Run away to the direction he is facing. Avoid the energy field by all means as the the dps they deal in hero dungeons are sure kill.
- Start and End: Dekal will move towards a platform and release a strong energy wave that covers the entire stage
- Move into the inside of his shield, it's the only safe area
- When not in time to reach safe platform, dodge with skills' invincible frame, costly perhaps, but it's better than losing one of the three resurrection stone.
- Dekal will be invincible, including "disappearing" from skills' homing algorithm, during the "leap"
- (Further testing needed) There is a slight gap of no invincibility effects (even superarmor) between the arrival at his targetted platform and the warning ring of energy's release. If players can hit him in this gap, Dekal's skill will be cancelled. Trap-type skills like Fantasiegebilde Speer can be used to exploit this weakness.
- Dekal Wave: Dekal will move towards the center of the stage and releases a shockwave that will travel across the ground in both directions.
- Move to the center of the stage and above the highest platform(right above him) , then jump before he releases the shockwaves.
- During this move, Dekal obidiently does not move and perhaps the best moment to nuke him down with skills while dodging the shockwave.
Overall attitude to do
Cube release is very fast in hero dungeon, making it very hard to dodge and cause of death of most people.
When in normal situation, it is better to attack with fast commands and actives. As to be able to react when he does Cube Release, you don't want your skills to be on cooldown during emergency.
For Ara, connecting Special Actives grants a lot of invincible period, making her quite advantageous in this dungeon.
