Information: This article is currently under development. Please be patient while we're adding the finishing touches!
The demon revival ritual at the Grand Cavern has made the monsters bloody-thirsty and dangerous. You are the rightful Hero that will save Elrios from doom.

Heroic Mode is a gameplay mode where normal dungeons (excluding Ruben) can be played with a significantly harder difficulty for players over level 80.

Heroic Mode Mechanics

Entrance Requirements

Heroic Dungeons can be played on either Normal mode or Hell mode. To enter Normal mode, your character must be level 80 and possess an Item Level of 130. For Hell mode, the level requirement is 90 with an Item Level requirement of 150. In addition, your character must also possess a Heroic Invitation, which can be found by killing enemies in dungeons, Secret Dungeons, or Henir's Time and Space. Entering a dungeon on Normal will consume 1 Heroic Invitation while entering on Hell will consume 3 Heroic Invitations.

Heroic Dungeons can only be entered from the dungeon map of Velder and all succeeding maps. After confirming entry to the dungeon, the party will automatically be sent to a random dungeon set to Heroic Mode.

Restrictions

While playing a dungeon in Heroic Mode, EXP will not be obtained from any defeated enemies. Stamina will also not drop when playing on this mode. These dungeons will also not be affected by drop rate events and Random Missions will not appear in this mode.

Players will not be able to access Mounts when playing in this mode. If a player enters this dungeon mode while mounted, they will be automatically dismounted.

When playing a dungeon in Heroic Mode, the amount of Resurrection Stones that each player can use will be limited to 3. When all three Resurrection Stones are used, additional resurrections can be performed by spending K-Ching. In addition, if the player fails to resurrect themselves 10 seconds after their death, they will lose the option to resurrect themselves, even if they still have Resurrection Stones left. Despite this, they will still retain the ability to resurrect teammates.

Heroes Assemble Buff

Similar to regular dungeons, players will receive the Heroes Assemble buff when entering dungeons on Heroic Mode through the queue system, which will increase stats in proportion with the number of players in the party. Unlike the normal buff, the Heroes Assemble buff will be weaker in Heroic Mode dungeons.

Buff 1 Player 2 Players 3 Players 4 Players
Physical/Magical Attack +90% +60% +30% 0%
Physical/Magical Defense +15% +10% +5% 0%
HP +15% +10% +5% 0%

Heroic Mode Monsters

In Heroic Mode, all monsters and bosses will be stronger than their normal dungeon counterparts. They will have increased offensive and defensive stats and will attack with increased speed.

Absolute Monsters

In Heroic Mode, there will be additional monsters known as Absolute Monsters, which are stronger than normal Heroic monsters. These monsters will possess an attack-type buff from the elixirs that can be made from the Darkness Souls found in Gates of Darkness. These buffs can be transferred to the player if the Absolute Monster is defeated. When the buff is transferred, it will last for 30 seconds. Absolute Monsters will also possess the ability to teleport to the player if they move too far from them.

Wimp

Wimp

In Heroic Dungeons, a special monster known as Wimp can appear. They will have a 25% chance of appearing in the dungeon except for the first and boss stages. When the Wimp is defeated, one of the following buffs will be given to the entire party:

  • Infinite HP for 10 seconds
  • Infinite MP for 10 seconds
  • Freeze all monsters for 5 seconds
  • No cooldown time for all skills except Hyper Actives for __ seconds

Players will not be able to get the same type of buff in one dungeon.

Rewards

Heroic Gear Chest

The Heroic Gear Chest is a box that can be obtained by completing the daily quest [Heroic] Heroic Challenge. The chest will contain one random reward, such as:

Equipment

Heroic equipment can be obtained by defeating bosses in Heroic Dungeons at a random chance.

Another way to obtain Heroic equipment is to trade materials for them at Glave. Unlike the Exchange function, the Trade function will require an additional cost of 237,600 ED to perform the transaction. Equipment can be obtained by trading either Heroic Gear Pieces or Heroic Weapon Fragments. These can be obtained by killing Absolute monsters in Heroic Dungeons, where they can drop 3 Heroic Gear Pieces on Normal mode or 3 Heroic Weapon Fragments on Hell mode.

Trivia

  • The events that occur during Heroic Mode are a result of what happened at the end of Lanox's story. After the Demon God Sult was revived by Scar, before the El Lady sealed him away, he was able to plague the land with darkness causing the monsters of all the regions to becoming significantly more powerful.
