Skill/Item Slots
The Skill Slots are where you equip your skills to use in combat. By default you start off with 4 slots (A-Slot) unlocked. You can unlock 4 additional slots (B-Slot) by purchasing Skill Slot Change Medal from the Item Mall. Another slot can be unlocked by completing the Transcendence quest. The final slot can be unlocked after completion of the Transcendence quest, by purchasing Skill Slot Expansion (Transcendent) from the Item Mall.
Changing The Skill Layout
Prior to the UI Revamp, the Skill Slots were located underneath your character info. Following the revamp, it was relocated to the bottom of the screen by default, but allowed for you to switch back to the old layout. You can switch between skill slot layouts by accessing your options menu [O], and selecting the following option:

Skill Slot UI: Type B
*If you own a B-Slot, you will see a icon next the to skill bar.
*Pressing the Spacebar switches between skill bars.
*Type-B requires less keys to use skills, as the same 5 keys apply to both sides, making it ideal for controller users.
*You can still switch skill bars back and forth while in Type-A mode, Type-B simply occupies slightly less screen space.
Quick Slots
Quick Slots are used to equip consumable items from your inventory, such as potions, food, drinks, Monster Cards, and other consumables. These items can only be used during gameplay if they are equipped to one of your quick slots, and will trigger the item's cooldown when swapping items in a field or dungeon. Equipping them in a town or resting area, skips the cooldown. By default, 3 quckslot slots are unlocked, the remaining 3 must be unlocked by purchasing the Extend Quick Slot item from the Item Mall.

Forming parties is very beneficial, as you can receive benefits such as increased drop rates, fever buffs, and the ability to clear dungeons faster due to playing as a team. There are a multitude of ways you can form parties, and to do so, you must either not be in a party, or be the leader of your own party (indicated by a star next to your name), and the other player(s) must not already be in a party themselves. To invite someone to your party, you may do any of the following methods.
1. Name Input
By right-clicking directly on your character, or on your portrait, you will be given an option to invite another player to your party. You will be given a text box, in which you can manually enter the name of the person you wish to add.

2. Community/Friend/Guild List Invite
You can easily add anyone to your party through use of the Community tabs. Community tabs can be accessed through the speech bubble icon in the menu area, or by using hotkeys. By default, you can press [0] to access the Community tab, [Y] to access your Friend's list, and [9] to access your Guild member list. From here you can right click on anyone's name and select to invite them to your party.

3. Direct Invite
By simply right-clicking on any players whilst in a town or field, you can select to invite them directly to your party.
