Joaquin's HP Thresholds
What I have so far, not refined enough for me to place in the article until I do more testing but these appear to be the rough hp thresholds after some observations in-case it might give someone else any ideas.
- Points where he has consistently either used dwarf mode or used his healing barrier.
- (This is by Life bar ## and the fraction that's left, ex. ~1.5 is really half of his last hp bar before he dies.)
- 25.5 Life bars [7 observed counts] - Highly biased toward healing.
- ~23.5 Life bars [3 observed counts] - About even split on what he decides to do here.
- ~18.8 Life bars [4 observed counts] - Never seen him heal at this point, always dwarf mode.
- ~16.5 Life bars [3 observed counts] - Seen him use shield and then come back and use dwarf at the same point on the same run.
- ~12.0 Life bars [5 observed counts] - Seen him use shield and then come back and use dwarf at the same point on the same run.
- ~5 Life bars [4 observed counts] - Never seen him heal at this point, always dwarf mode.
- ~3.5 Life bars [3 observed counts] - Never seen him use Dwarf mode at this point.
- ~1.5 Life bars [2 observed counts] - Never seen him use Dwarf mode at this point, this threshold point seems just plain mean...

Joaquin in Henir
In one of my henir runs against Joaquin, he drank potion 3 times when my party knock his life to the final bar. This is after the field update, and I don't know if the same thing applies to the secret dungeon run.
