In Elsword, multiple types of currency exist in Elrios that players can use to conduct transactions.

ED

ED is the main currency of Elrios. It can be obtained in various ways such as defeating enemies in dungeons/hunting fields within your level range, selling items to an NPC, completing quests, or directly obtained from another player via trading or the Market.

ED is primarily used as a fee for a majority of features, such as crafting, enhancing equipment, socketing equipment, and many more.

ED can be found in dungeons/hunting fields in four types of mediums: Bronze ED coin, Silver ED coin, Gold ED coin, and Gold ED Bars. The type of medium that will appear from defeated monsters is dependent on their level and the type of monster they are (e.g. Field Bosses will drop Gold ED Bars while regular bosses drop Gold ED coins).

Capacities

There is a limit to the amount of ED that can be held or traded at any single moment. This limitation is dependent on your character's level.

AP

AP is a secondary currency that is used for PvP. The only method of obtaining AP is to compete in Arena matches. An additional 300 AP can be obtained once every day by completing Camilla's daily random quests for Arena. The amount of AP that will be rewarded on each match is dependent on the ranks of your opponents, your battle performance, and the number of opponents fought. The maximum capacity of AP that a character can hold at a single moment is 100,000.

AP can only be used as an additional currency for Camilla's shop. It cannot be traded to other players. For a list of available items that costs AP, click here to view a list.

Guild Coin

Guild Coin is a currency that is used for guilds. Guild Coins can be obtained by completing the Guild's Co-op Quests, unlocking guild-related Achievements, or from playing Guild Expedition. An additional 5 Guild Coins can be obtained once when you complete Play Together!! quest. There is no limit to the amount of Guild Coins that a character can hold, but the Guild Storage can only hold 5,000 Guild Coins.

Guild Coins can be stored in the Guild Storage but cannot be taken out of it. Guild Coins can be used by the Guild Master, or by guild members given the rights to use them, to expand Guild Storage or for transactions in Myu's shop. Before you store in the Guild Storage, it can be traded to other players. For a list of available items that costs Guild Coin, click here to view a list.

Banner Points are a currency exclusively used for purchasing customizations for your Guild Banner from Myu. They can only be obtained by playing Guild Expedition.

Seed Exchange Tickets

Seed Exchange Tickets are used exclusively in guilds to purchase seeds from Myu for the Guild Farm System. They can be obtained by depositing Guild Coins into the Guild Storage Chest.

Cash

Cash refers to the currency obtained using real money. This type of currency is only used for the Cash Shop/Item Mall. Each server possess a different name for this type of currency and a different conversion scale to match the country's currency rates.

Cash can only be obtained by using real cash. However, some events may reward players with free Cash.

  • Best Deal rates are calculated based on the highest amount of Cash bought at once with PayPal bonus included.

    • Additionally, European Server organizes a Happy Hour event every other month where players can get a 15~35% multiplicative bonus. The event usually lasts for 24h (on special occasions, 48h).
      • Even months have a 25% bonus, odd months have a 20% bonus. However, the two exceptions to that are April (Easter 30% bonus) and December (Christmas 35% bonus).
      • If the delay between events is high, the next event has a higher bonus as well. On the other hand, if the delay is not even a full month, it gets the lowest bonus (15%).
  • In Japan and China, players first purchase a unified currency, which they can then convert into in-game currency for Elsword.

EP

Warning: The information in this page is from an old version of Elsword and is no longer available.

Every time you purchase from the Item Mall, 10% of what you've spent will be added to EP (El Point). Just like Cash, all characters within the same account will share EP, regardless of the server they are in.

When you purchase an item from the Item Mall, they go into the Item Mall Storage. Then you can move the item you purchased to your character's inventory using right click. EP gets added when you move the item to the character's inventory. EP gets added instantly for purchasing Item Mall items that has instant effect (items that does not use Item Mall Storage). For a package item, EP of the entire package cost is added when final the item remaining in the package is moved to characters' inventory.

EP can be used in El Point Shops, and they are also tradable in Message Boards shops but it's not possible to mail them or use them in individual trades.

As of March 10, 2016, El Points will no longer be obtained when purchasing items from the Cash Shop. [1] Any remaining EP in your inventory can still be consumed until the removal of the El Point Shop on March 30, 2017. [2]
