Defeating the same kind of Phoru consecutively will grant you bonus points, as well as buffs based on the Phorus you defeated. An icon appears at the top of the screen to show the last type of Phoru you defeated. Black Phorus will also spawn occasionally, which grant 5 times the amount of points of a normal Phoru of the same type.
