Mana Conversion's skill animation will be cancelled if cast right before falling off the edge of a platform, though it will still activate the effects correctly.
Considering MP is a bit harder to get in PvP, this skill is an excellent way to get some initial MP to combo with. Repeated use may bring you lower on HP than you'd like however, so caution is advised.
