**'''Fully Held''': will deal the initial '''Chain Blade Rotation''' hit and additional 10 hits. '''Chain Blade Throwing''' will activate as a finish, to deal 3 hits.

  • When using the skill, there are 3 possible outcomes:
    • Immediate Release: Chain Blade Rotation will only deal the initial hit, and Chain Blade Throwing will deal up to 7 hits and cover an area similar to the Free Training room.
    • Broken While Holding: Chain Blade Rotation will deal however many hits it managed to before being cancelled. Chain Blade Throwing will deal 4 hits and cover half the original travel range.
    • Fully Held: will deal the initial Chain Blade Rotation hit and additional 10 hits. Chain Blade Throwing will activate as a finish, to deal 3 hits.
  • The Immediate Release will on average hit 3 times at point-blank range without charging and subsequently hit targets 2 to 8 times based on their width.
    • The Gigantic trait only increases the size of the blades, not the actual distance travelled. This does however increase the average damage potential by 2+ hits since it will still be able to hit targets it otherwise wouldn't be able to. When paired with Giant Potion, this is even more effective for the purposes of maintaining hits.
  • Since the skill decreases in range the longer you hold it and takes a while to perform fully, it is recommended to only hold it during a boss fight.
  • Dealing maximum hits with the held version of the skill is only possible at point-blank range and only if the enemy does not get pushed out.
  • Letting go of the button at any time after the start of the initial animation will cause the skill to release, unlike other hold skills with much longer initial casts.
  • Bloody Road has a notable post-cast delay, so despite the ability to cancel it anytime, it can feel inconvenient to use.
