A bard who combines the language of the spirits with melody.

As she continued to record the voices of the spirits, Rena wondered about the mysteries of the language and meets up with an ancient language expert in Feita to decipher the language.

That's when she learns that the language gains more power when melody and chord is added.

With the few combinations and patterns she found, Rena made the song of spirits and becomes a bard who heals people’s hearts and support allies in the battlefield.

레나는 글로 옮겨 적은 정령의 힘을 여러 방면으로 응용하며 능숙하게 사용할 수 있게 되었지만, 이 현상은 여전히 수수께끼로 레나에게 깊은 의문을 남겼다. 정령의 목소리가 글로 적히며 마법이 깃드는 현상... 이것이 왜 일어나는지, 어떤 원리인지 알아낼 수 있다면 분명 더 많은 일을 할 수 있을 것 같은데... 정령과 소통이 가능한 사람도 보기 힘든 마당에, 이와 관련한 정보를 얻을 수 있는 곳이 있을 리 없었다.

자신이 풀어야 할 과제일 거라고 마음을 다지며 페이타에 도착한 레나는 우연한 계기로 페이타의 서기관 알레그로가 고대의 여러 마법 언어에 해박한 지식이 있음을 알게 된다. 알레그로 또한 레나가 받아 적은 문장이 고대 정령어라는 것을 알아보았다. 현재는 명맥이 끊긴 정령어에 대해 알고 싶다는 연구가의 탐구심, 그리고 자신이 사용하는 힘의 원리를 파헤치고 싶어 하는 레나의 이해가 일치하면서 두 사람은 함께 고대 정령어에 대해 연구하기 시작했다.

알레그로는 정령어에 대한 지식은 많지 않았지만 각각의 고대 마법 언어가 가진 고유한 특징, 그리고 모든 마법 언어에 통용되는 규칙이 있음을 설명해 주었다. 정령어 또한 그 맥락을 찾는 것을 중점적으로 연구하면 어떻겠느냐는 제안에 레나의 뇌리에 문득 지난 경험들이 떠올랐다. 특정 단어를 사용할 때마다 발현되는 효과가 더 강해지거나, 효과가 바뀌는 등의 현상이 분명 있었던 것이다. 그 원리는 알지 못했으나 거듭 사용하며 찾아낸 규칙들을 자신도 모르는 사이에 체득하여 사용해 왔던 것이었다. 레나는 충분히 해 볼 만하다는 판단이 섰다.

두 사람이 열심히 머리를 맞댄 결과, 정령어는 언어의 운율과 단어의 조합이 무엇보다 중요하다는 고유의 특징을 찾아냈다. 더 나아가 운율과 단어의 조합에 음계가 더해지면 정령어의 위력이 훨씬 강해지며, 부연 효과가 발휘된다는 것 또한 알게 되었다.

짧은 만남이었지만 알레그로와의 연구에서 몇 가지 문장과 선율의 조합, 규칙을 발견한 레나는 크게 기뻐하며 작별을 고했다. 이다음부터는 레나가 직접 부딪쳐 가며 알아내야 할 영역일 것이다. 레나는 전투를 거듭하며 다양한 조합과 규칙을 찾아내고, 그를 바탕으로 정령어의 노래를 발전시켜 나갔다. 강력하고 변덕스러운 정령의 힘을 다루게 된 레나는 때로는 보조하고, 때로는 이끌며 엘리오스를 누비는 전장의 음유시인으로 거듭난다.
