Upon the El Search Party investigating the waterway, Denka speculates that somebody must have been messing with the machines in the waterway. It is revealed that the Demon Scientist Conrad had been messing with the machines. After defeating Conrad, Denka notices the water levels beginning to return back to normal. Taranvash attacked the El Search Party while they were in the Waterway, Denka believes that the Holy Beast may have gone insane due to the Water Priestess being missing. After Taranvash was defeated, Denka asked the El Search Party to rearrange the reflectors scattered across the Ancient Waterway as he believed they were to key to unlocking the Guardian Stone's secrets. | |||

Once the group returned to Denka, the Guardian Stone was soon stolen by [[Chloe]], the El Search Party tracked her into the Heart of the Ancient Waterway and were able to retrieve the Guardian Stone back. With the Guardian Stone once again in Denka's possession, he placed it in his device and activated it. His machine created a recorded message from [[Helputt]]. Denka was surprised to see [[Helputt]] clad in black armor, unable to understand what the message was saying he required a translation device. With the help of the translation device, the group learned that [[Helputt]] had made a deal with the demons and has the Water Priestess captive. Denka explains that Halagaz was not the only one, but many spirits are being controlled by the demons.
