Identifying Equipment
In Elsword, many equipment and accessories can be identified with stat effects. When certain equipment or accessory drops are obtained via dungeon drops, crafting, or trading with another player, it will be in its unidentified state, with a ? covering its icon. You cannot equip them if they're unidentified. To identify the item, you must right click it and pay a fee with ED equal to 25% of the item's reselling price.
Identifiable Stats
Each row of an item's identifiable stats is tied to a specific ID. When the item is identified, a random stat effect will be chosen with the value tied towards that specific ID.

Name Modifiers
When an item is identified, it will receive a special modifier title that precedes the item's name, based on the stat effect received. The title will differ depending on the stat's value. If it has more than one identifiable stat, then the modifier will be chosen based on the stat of the first row.
Reverting Identification
If you are not happy with the identified stats, you can use a Blessed Time & Space Scroll to reset the item back to its unidentified state and try again for another set of random stats. The scroll can be purchased from the Item Mall or obtained via certain events. There is no limit to how many times you can identify an item.
