Basic Information
While playing as Raven, once you go into Awakening Mode, a Nasod core will appear behind Raven. This Nasod gives Raven two new abilities, as well as acting as a cool looking accessory to him while Raven is in awakening.
The Nasod core is called out when Raven awakens. The core itself has two modes, Attack and Defend. The more Raven attacks in awakening, the more the Nasod core grows, and its effectiveness grows. The Nasod however, grows at a slower rate when Raven is hit.
If Raven uses an Active, like Weapon Breaker or Cut Tendon, or a Special Active, like Shockwave, the core will shape itself into a dark dagger, and pierces the enemy at a rapid speed. The Nasod core's attack power depends on its size and skill used, and will also ignore the enemy's defense. The core will not launch itself towards the opponents if Raven's Active / Special Active defeats the opponent first.
However, if you are standing on the ground and being attacked in front of you, the Nasod core will shape itself to form a covering shield, to prevent damage to you. However, this defending act reduces the Nasod core's size. If it's too small, the core will vanish (it will come back if you attack or receive attacks, however). You cannot move during the guarding animation, but you can Shadow Step out of it. In TW version, Raven can cancel the guarding animation by moving or using other skills.
You even receive a bonus when awakening time is over. Depending on core size, you receive an amount of HP and MP. You actually receive a tiny portion without the core even being present. Approximately 10% HP and 100MP is received when the core is at its biggest.
Level 3 Awakening
If Raven activates awakening on the 3rd orb (which is depicted as a flaming orb), he will create a dense, small electric cloud around him, dealing semi-constant damage every 2.5 seconds. The damage dealt from the cloud does not add to the knockdown counter, and does not stun. It also grants him 5 MP per hit.
The electric shocks will inflict 125% of Raven's Physical + Magical Attack strength and is further increased with the standard 20% Awakening bonus.
Tips and Details
- The Nasod Core no longer attacks when Blade Master's Bloody Accel is activated. Instead, it will increase the Core to maximum power.
- Lv 3 awakening should be used cautiously in 5-x boss fight, because if you are in the shock field mode and Hoakin debuffs you with the puppet debuff, you can shock your allies too.
- A bug occurs where you will still damage your allies even after the debuff is over. (Best wait for it to end before continuing fighting.)
- If aura generated from the Nasod Core kills an enemy, the Nasod Core will not attack.
- If the shock field activates a mimic, the sound of the shock will change to the sound of activating the mimic.
