Despite what the name implies, this skill does not ignore damage reductions of any kind. The explosions are, however, capable of hitting the back of shielding enemies.
The explosion hit will make enemies flinch and knock them back in the direction you are facing. This trick can be used to drag enemies closer to you by immediately turning around after hitting them.
