How are pets obtained?

Pets are obtained through many ways. Some are available as quests, some are cash exclusive and some are obtained through temporarily events.

Your first step towards getting a pet is a Petit Phoru, which is a 3 phase quest that starts at Level 10. The quest comes as an epic quest as Episode 2-1.

Do the following three steps to complete the Episode 2-1 and get your Petit Phoru:

1- Get 4 drops from the Magicians in the Shadow Forest on any difficulty.

2- Get 1 drops from the Giant Ent, boss of 2-1

3- Eliminate 2 Phorus (one white and one red) in Banthus's Cave on Normal mode (NOTE: Hard and VH will NOT work)

Congratulations! You have obtained your new pet!

Other pets can be purchased from the cash shop...

Life's Crystal

Pets usually has 4 different forms. The following terms for the 4 forms are the following:

1- Life's Crystal

2- Fluid

3- Adult

4- Completion

They usually start as a crystal that has no skills or functions until they reach to the final stage. There are some pets who usually have access to completion (mostly events only).

In order to level up the pet, you need to increase his familiarity. Once the familiarity is full, a button will be available next to the bar that will level him up.

Pet Skills

As you can see from the above screenshot. Once a pet leaves crystal form, he will gain access to skills that you can see from the 2 icons on his top right. Both skills are used by the pet automatically

Pets have 2 types of skills:

Attack: These skills use their skills to attack and aid you in battle. The pet will use this skill once you achieve full mana.

Encouragement: These skills makes the pet encourage the user to fight harder, which gives them additional stats to the player for a certain amount of time. The pet usually uses this skill when it finds you are finding a hard time.

NOTE: Encouragement skills tend to give Max HP, Speed, Move Speed, Jump Speed and Mana Regen. The stats depends entirely on the monster, and the speed does not take your equipment as consideration (It will go more than 20 depending on your stat)

Pet Energy

With the pet skills, pets will also get access to a skill system called Pet's Energy.

Pet Energy is a passive skill that pets gain that allows the owner to get special stats out of it.

Each Pet has 3 types of Energy:

1. Body

2. Soul

3. Attitude

Each type of energy gives a different type of stat. You can notice the pet energy and what it gives through the Pet Menu itself (Hotkey J)

There is a prerequisite in the pet's form to unlock each energy:

- Getting Fluid form will allow your pet to unlock the Body energy

- Getting Adult form will allow your pet to unlock Body and Soul energy

- Getting Completion form will allow your pet to unlock Body, Soul and Attitude Energy (All 3 energies)

Once the pet energy is unlock, you immediately get access to the stat if he is equipped and has atleast 40% satisfaction or higher. If his satisfaction is lower than 40%, the pet energy will not open and the owner will not receive the special stats.

Feeding

To increase the satisfaction of the pet, you need to feed him. The feeding option is availabe in your inventory (bone-shaped icon)

Pets accept the following foods:

- El Tree seeds (Obtained through events)

- El Tree fruit (Obtained through the Cash Shop/Packaged into Packs of 10)

- Equipment (Any rarity will work)

- Cuipel Jellies

NOTE: Depending the level of the owner, it will only accept equipment range less than 10 level. If the pet doesn't accept the range of the equipment, an error will occur "Equipment's level is too low".

NOTE2: The higher or better the equipment level is from you range. The higher the satisfaction will grow. Also, Weapon equipment increases their satisfaction better than armor

NOTE3: El Tree Fruits can be tradable by packaging them into packs of 10. This allows the packages to be able to sold through the market

Icon Pictures of El Tree seeds and fruit

- Once the pet reaches 70% familiarity, the pet will enter a state called "Special" It can be identified by a prefix on the pet's name once he enters that state.

During Special mode, the pet will only accept El Tree Seeds or El Tree Fruits and will not accept any equipment until special mode and you will need to level him up to 100% to reach to the next level.

If you would like to remove special mode, just simply not feed your pet until his satisfaction is low, which results on his familiarity to get lower than 70% and stops special mode.

Qupel Jellies

Since the Alchemy Revamp patch in KR Elsword, you can make weapon-shaped "Cuipel Jellies" that your pets think are delicious. The process of making a Cuipel Jelly is simple, and only basic materials are needed.

However, like normal food, pets will not accept Cuipel jellies when they reach their "Special State".

Guide

Qupel Jellies are the Purple, Jelly-like, weapon-shaped items.... Qupel Jellies are split into a few simple catergories.... Their type, and how to make them are as follows...

Ingredients are obtained from dismantling weapons (The level next to the El-Components represent which weapon level range dismantled can obtain the ingredient). Weapon moulds are made from the Blacksmith.

As of KR ELSWORD 26th May 2011 Patch, creating Qupel Jellies will give you a chance of creating either a normal, fantasy or weird Qupel Jelly.

Fantasy Qupel Jellies (Red Background) are of Elite Rarity (purple text) and add an additional 2% intimacy when fed to pets with. Weird Qupel Jellies (Dark Background) are of Normal Rarity and add an decreases 5% intimacy when fed to pets with.

Pet Inventory

Pets have an inventory on their own which you can store on at all times. You can access by pressing the pet button in your inventory menu. Look at the screenshots below to find your pet inventory.

Pets at Crystal form do NOT get an inventory storage. Advance its level to fluid or higher to get access to the pet inventory. The higher the form, the more spaces you get

Depending on the pet itself and its form, the amount of space on its inventory the pet will have will be different. Currently the max is at 12.

Accordingly, you can add items on the pet inventory which you can save later on to feed him or enable automatic feeding to let him eat it automatically.

The checkbox on the top enables Automatic Feeding

When the pet has satisfaction that is lower than 80%, he will automatically eat the items available in his inventory. The sequence of order that he will eat is on this order:

- Low Equipment

- High Equipment

- El tree seeds

- El tree fruits

Pet Commands

In addition to the pet skills and energies, another system has been added to allow more interaction between with you and your pet.

A Pet Commands system is added where you can actually talk with your pet, and the pet will interact or respond to you based on what you say.

NOTE: His satisfaction/familiarity will also affect on how he will respond to you

Here's a following list of commands you can type to your pet that he/she will respond on:

인사!

안녕!l

하이!

헬로!

앉아!

기다려!

Pet Tendency

Once you keep raising your pet more, the tendency of that pet will change accordingly. The tendency of that pet will change how he will act with you and how his nature is, and will increase or decrease depending on how you talk with him.

To access the Tendency menu, go to the pet menu (Press J) and click on the >> icon on the very top right.

- X axis determines if he is more of a sensible or reasonable pet

- Y axis determines if he is more of a outgoing or shy pet

- Further right means he is more Sensible, while left means he is more reasonable

- Up means he is more outgoing, while down means he is more shy
