Specialty

After a lot of training with his Nasod arm, Raven can now shoot flames from his arm and has more resistance to overheating. He also took a bunch of different parts from Nasods and golems and fused them with his claw, including Ignis's flamethrower.

Background

During countless battles, Raven would often excessively overheat his arm. He soon realizes that his arm is reaching its limit.
"This arm will sooner or later fail to work in its current state and just be a pain in the ass..."
To have a stronger destructive power and durability that can withstand numerous overheats, Raven went to consult with the Ponggo race on modifications of his arm. To increase the armor's flame resistance when firing, and obtain a stronger core for the muzzle, Raven was told to get the arm of Ignis, which can shoot nuclear flames. But the flames of nuclear energy were too intense to be used with his Nasod arm, so Taro told Raven that there is a metal that can withstand the heat: the dark steel of Dullahan Knight. However, the dark steel was too heavy to mount on Raven's arm as-is, so he needed to collect some magical golem components which can change the weight of any object. After Raven collected all the material required, the Ponggo installed all the materials into his arm, and the transformation was complete.

Second Class Advancement

Veteran Commander can also be obtained by using the Item Mall item: Badge of the Crow Mercenaries.

At Lv35, Weapon Taker can advance into Veteran Commander. The second class advancement quest is obtained from Ariel, the event NPC located in every town.

Veteran Commander

1. Speak with Altera Pongo Elder Adel.
2. Collect 30 drops from monsters throughout the Altera region.
   • Recommended 4-5 Very Hard Mode.
3. Collect:
   • 20 drops from Elite Nasod Guard: Shield in 4-6 on any mode.
   • 2 core of nuclear flames from ignis(Red Nasod Guardian) in 4-6.
4. Speak with Lento in Peita
5. Collect:
   • 3 drops from Dullahan Knight in X-1.
   • 15 Golem drops in X-1.

File:VCcombo1.png	Air Bomb Raid (Will overheat) Raven jumps into the air, shoots out an explosive shell, and continues the combo with a barrage of shells at a 45 degrees range. The first shell he fires requires MP, and launches the target slightly. Repeatedly pressing the X key will fire shells repeatedly, causing overheat, with the last shell also launching the target. However pressing the X key only twice will fire the first shell and then another, both of which will launch the target, with no overheat. Should the shells come into contact with a platform they will leave a trail of fire momentarily, burning any targets they come in contact with. The shells will fizzle out and disappear if they travel far enough without contact, however flames still appear where they would hypothetically land. A maximum of 10 shells can be fired in one volley.
	Sword Flame Thrower (Will overheat) After executing the standard >>ZZ combo, Raven spins around, striking the target with his claw and blasts flames from his palm. Requires overheat to use at all; attempting to do so without enough HP will cause instant recoil. Hold the button to continue spraying flames.

Trivia

• Whenever Veteran Commander's arm overheats, it will show as his arm 'vents' opening, and makes a sound when it closes.
