After the El Search Party was betrayed by Haivan, they make it back to Elrianode with the help of Winster's portal, but they're not in one piece. They must take on the new challenge with the Masters.
Chapter 41: A Wounded Return
After returning to Elrianode, they got themselves to safety, although the return was wounded, as Ain had also lost consciousness. Elsword blames Add for the incident, and due to the tension, they head to Denif, who tells them Ain must be brought to the El Lady, Hernia. Eve and Add decide to carry Ain to Elysion, but Elsword and Raven also tag along for their reasons. Elesis, Luciela, and Ciel decide to head to Rosso, while Aisha rushes to Ventus when Rena falls unconscious. Rose decides to find her clues, finding a transmitter. Aisha and Chung decide to go in to the seal of the Master Denif's compass.
Some time later, some members return, and Lu manages to piece together Rose's message, mentioning the potential location is Aurora, a winter-like territory that can freeze the skin even solid. Aisha is optimistic about the new results.

- Laby: Cough! Cough! What was that shiny thing?
- Add: ... The portal worked. Looks like we're in Elrianode.
- Zero: What? You mean the portal actually worked properly? So there WAS enough power in that gem after all!
- Elsword: Wait, what about the others? Are we...
- Rena: Everyone! Come quick! Ain doesn't look too good.
- Ciel: Ain? What happened?
- Rena: I'm not sure. Something must have happened when he were coming over to Elrianode. I tried waking him up, but he won't budge!
- Elesis: For now, we should calm down. We're in Elrianode, so we can ask for help.
- Chung: I'll go get the priestesses!
- Raven: ... I didn't expect this is how we'd make it back...
- Elsword: Tsk...
- Raven: Elsword?
- Elsword: Add! Why... Why did you activate the portal?! I thought we were going to handle the situation together! I wouldn't have agreed to your plan if I knew we were just going to leave them there! We could have helped them!!
- Add: Shut up.
- Elsword: What did you say?
- Add: Help them? Idiot. If we were in any position to help, I wouldn't have gambled our lives on a portal that wasn't even guaranteed to work.
- Elsword: So you thought the best thing to do was just leave everyone behind?
- Add: It was HIS request. That demon brat probably listened to all his last words.
- Lu: .......
- Add: Face it. There was no way to make the situation better.
- Elsword: No! If only we've managed to defeat Berthe...!
- Add: Wake up, will you? He would have shred you to pieces! He would have shred all of us to pieces, if we blindly followed you along! You need to face the facts and grow up!
- Elesis: We did manage to escape on time, thanks to Add... But I'm still worried about the two we've left behind...
- Ara: ... I hope they're alright...
- Add: Have you all gone mad? Since when did we worry about demons? Weren't you the one who was complaining about how they invaded Elrios? Are we all friends now? We didn't even know them for that long, and you'd trust so readily?
- Elsword: You can't be serious!
- Aisha: Stop it! Now is really not the time. Can't you see some of us are injured here!
- Raven: Aisha's right. Let's calm down and continue this later. We shouldn't lose our cool over this.
- Laby: Eve, are you alright? Can you stand?
- Eve: ... I'm not sure if I can on my own. Will you assist me? Please help Moby and Remy as well.
- Laby: Ok! Here, take Laby's hand!
- Eve: Thank you.
- Add: .......
- Artea: Everyone!
- Ignia: Are you all ok!?
- Ara: Artea, Ignia!
- Ignia: Ah...! I'm glad you made it back, but pleasantries can wait... Mr. Priest over there, is he going to be ok?
- Aisha: No... He's not reacting to anything. It's not like he has any visible injuries...
- Artea: Oh...?
- Elsword: Do you know what the problem is?
- Artea: ... I have an idea, but we should let Master Denif take a look. Anduran went to get him, so he should be here soon.
- Ignia: Everyone else should let Darkmoon heal their injuries. Let's all head to the El Tower.

Though they have successfully returned, there is unease. Meanwhile, Ain is still unconscious. Let's ask Denif how to cure Ain.
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Darkmoon: ... I'm sorry. My powers are not enough to heal Ain completely.
- Artea: He's not just unconscious. He is showing no reaction to outside stimuli.
- Chung: What now? Should we wait?
- Denif: ... No. He's not injured, so there's no use waiting for him to regain consciousness. The El energy in his body is much weaker. I believe that is the reason why he fails to wake up.
- Rose: Is there anyway we can cure him?
- Denif: There's nothing I can do at the moment. What he needs right now, is treatment from Hernia... The El Lady.
- Elesis: ... Technically, I'm also an El Lady. Is there anything I can do to help?
- Denif: That would be difficult. There was never a time when two El Ladies existed at the same time.
- Elesis: But in Lanox, I...
- Denif: That may be an instance of the Goddess, or the El's Will possessing you, knowing that Hernia was unable to fulfill her duty. Furthermore, you do not show any symptoms that an El Lady usually displays. Which leads to the conclusion that, at the moment, it is more accurate to state that you are a possible candidate for the El Lady. I do understand the desire to help your friends, but you do not have the necessary abilities to know what Ain requires.
- Elesis: I... understand.
- Eve: Then we should head to Elysion to meet the El Lady. I too, require maintenance from sustained damage from our last battle. It is possible to conduct a self-reparation, but... I will be able to recover faster with Adrian's help.
- Elesis: If you can receive better care, it's for the best... But there's no need to hurry for our sake, Eve.
- Eve: Thank you for your concern, but as you are well aware, we have strayed far from our original plan. We have hypothesized that the Dark El acts similarly to the El in the Demon Realm. Based on that hypothesis, we devised a method to track the Dark El using the gem from Varnimyr as it exuded similar energy, but...
- Raven: We failed to retrieve the gem...
- Eve: But thanks to the gem, we were able to return to Elrianode. I am worried about Ain's condition, but it seems that can be resolved in Elysion, which is a relief. With all of this in mind, I wish to hurry to Elysion. Since we are in Elrios, we should do whatever we can to prepare ourselves better.
- Elesis: Ok, I trust your judgement. Just... Don't rush it, and come back safely.
- Eve: Of course.
- Add: I'll go with her. I have something to take care of as well.
- Elsword: ... I'll go with you.
- Add: What, you don't think I'm trustworthy?
- Elsword: I'm worried about Ain, and I have my own reasons.
- Add: .......
- Aisha: (What are you going to do with these two...)
- Raven: I'll go as well. You'll need another pair of hands to help Eve and Ain.
- Chung: Ain...
- Elsword: Ain will be fine. Everyone should rest. And... Let's think together what we should do moving forward.
- Denif: If you are all decided, you should leave now. Artea, gather all the priestesses to send them to Elysion.
- Artea: Yes, Master Denif.

The Demon Army has a portal and Rigomor may be in danger... While the El Search Party attempt to return to the Demon Realm immediately, the seal was closed. They need a new way to get to the Demon Realm.

Quest Acceptance Dialogue
|
- Ciel: Are we all done for now?
- Darkmoon: I took care of the most urgent injuries... But everyone should rest easy.
- Rena: Thank you Darkmoon. Oh, and you must be...
- Gaia: Ah, let me introduce myself. I am Gaia. Though I may be less experienced than the others, I am the Earth Master. I've heard many things about you from the others.
- Rena: I see! Nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you from Laby.
- Laby: Yup! Laby brought the El Search Party safe and sound! See? Laby always keep promises!
- Gaia: You're right. I'm glad, Laby. I'm grateful everyone made it back safely.
- Elesis: It was thanks to Laby, we were able to return safely.
- Lu: The timing was impeccable.
- Laby: Uh huh! Laby and Nisha helped out a lot! Oh... But... We didn't help Calonne's friend and Nichel.
- Chung: .......
- Aisha: If we hurry back, we might be able to prevent the worst from happening. Although Winster, Nichel, and Haivan were the only ones there...
- Ara: You're right. Winster's village must be in Rigomor. It would be disastrous if they invade the village.
- Lu: We can't let any harm come to the place he wished to protect. If we open the portal now...!
- Ventus: Ah, well... That's not really an option.
- Ara: But Master Ventus! We must help them somehow!
- Aisha: ... Master Denif said creating a gap on the seal is an unorthodox method. Did something happen to the seal? Or is there a real possibility that something might?
- Ventus: My, I guess magicians do think alike! You nailed it in one! Before, we could open a gate, albeit an unorthodox way, using spells. But right now... Let's just say that the seal, is now properly sealed. Which is why we weren't able to help you right away, so we sent little lady here, to help.
- Sasha: The El became rapidly unstable... So we had to prepare for the worst.
- Elesis: If something happened to the El, it wold have been irrevocable... In any case, we must find a new method, since the passage under the El Tower is no longer viable.
- Lu: Hm? Elesis, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
- Laby: Ehhh? What are you talking about?
- Elesis: There's someone who managed to go to the Demon Realm without using the seal. And he's in Elrianode.
- Ciel: Who are you talking ab... Ah, you're right...!
- Lu: The Fire Master. An unexpected surprise we encountered in the Demon Realm.
- Ara: I see! So Master Rosso may know of a way to go to the Demon Realm without using the seal beneath the El!
- Ventus: Mm, well I don't know... I doubt it's recommended.
- Elesis: We don't have the luxury of choosing the most ideal method. We have to check, as long as there's even a slight possibility.
- Ventus: If you must, I won't stop you. Rosso is probably in the training grounds outside, near the El Tower. I saw him train there occasionally. Something about losing something in the Demon Realm? He said he needed to control his power more acutely to make up for it.
- Lu: Alright. Then let us go ask the Fire Master.
- Laby: Take Laby! Take Laby! Laby can help because Laby knows when you keep asking Rosso, he gets really angry but still answers everything!
- Lu: Oh? That is useful information.
- Elesis: Uh... Laby? We'll go ask Master Rosso. Will you find another way to get to the Demon Realm? It's a very important mission.
- Laby: Ehh? Really? Ok! Laby will find another way!
- Elesis: Maybe this will prevent her from learning other bad things.
- Laby: Huh? Did you say something?
- Elesis: Nothing. We'll be right back.
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Ventus: Hm... Oh well, I'm sure it's fine.
- Aisha: Master Ventus, is something wrong?
- Ventus: You know, before little lady jumped in to help, Rosso demanded to save you before the gap was closed, because you might be stranded in the Demon Realm.
- Ara: I see. That's good to know.
- Ventus: But then, Rosso learned that we could no longer open the passage, and just... clammed up. We couldn't really ask why... But I suspect Rosso doesn't remember what happened...
- Aisha: ... Or maybe he can no longer use that method. Just like the passage below the El Tower.
- Ventus: That's what I think anyway. So we were just looking for another way when you all came back.
- Laby: Another method? Oh! Laby knows!
- Ventus: Yup! Junior was planning to go see your friend, little lady.
- Ara: Laby's friend? You mean the demon that used to know Winster?
- Laby: Uh huh! Calonne said he used to move between Elrios and the Demon Realm, so he might know how!
- Chung: But wouldn't he have gone back, if he knows?
- Rena: I still think it's worth a try. Even if he doesn't know how to go back, as a portal engineer, he must be aware of the coordinates of the Demon Realm.
- Aisha: To use the machine in the underground laboratory beneath the castle? The one that we couldn't use because Add didn't know the coordinates?
- Rena: Thank goodness Add isn't here. You really don't hold back your punch, Aisha.... I'm worried about those who went to Elysion.
- Aisha: Don't worry, Rena. Eve and Raven are there. And I'm sure Elsword knows.
- Rose: Then shall we go find this... Calonne?
- Ventus: Calm down. No need to crowd the guy. Besides, it's not like you're all in tip-top condition. Junior was going to go anyway, so why don't you sit back and relax. You can't go to the Demon Realm in your condition even if we manage to open the portal.
- Rena: That's true...
- Laby: Laby still wanna go! Laby wants to see Calonne and Mao! And tell them about Winster!
- Gaia: If Laby comes... It will be easier to earn Calonne's trust... But will you be ok? It hasn't been long since you've arrived.
- Laby: Laby is strong! See? Good as new!
- Ara: May I accompany you as well?
- Gaia: Ah... But...
- Ara: I heard Calonne is in the Northern Empire, which is my homeland. I wish to see how it's faring for myself, even just for a moment.
- Gaia: I see. Then we should leave right away.
- Ara: Yes!

|
- Elesis: So... We're looking for the training grounds?
- Lu: I reckon it would be easy to find. It would be hard not to notice power of that caliber.
- Ciel: ... Lu, I have a favor to ask before we meet the Fire Master.
- Lu: You don't have to say anything, Ciel. I already know what you want to say.
- Ciel: You do?
- Elesis: Well, of course. Master Ventus did look very hesitant to tell us about it.
- Lu: It's likely that the method he used is not feasible at the moment. If it were, they wouldn't have left us to fend for ourselves.
- Elesis: They did come all the way back to the Demon Realm just to hand over the Wind Spirit Stone. They would have done something to help us if they could.
- Ciel: They why are we going to see him, if we already know he doesn't have the answer we seek?
- Lu: ... At least we'll be doing something. Besides, even if the method he used is no longer feasible, there might be another way to apply it, as long as we understand how it was done.
- Ciel: So we're just grasping at straws here...
- Lu: We need to make our way back to Rigomor as soon as possible. We can't let Berthe collect any more of Aegirp's soul.
- Elesis: Even with just a fragment of the soul, his power was enhanced exponentially. If he collects all the souls and stars leading the demon army... That might be too much for us to handle.
- Lu: It seems we've arrived.
- Ciel: These marks were left by something sharp. It's similar to those we've found near the tower in Varnimyr. Looks like we've got the right place.
- Rosso: What do you want?
- Elesis: We wanted to ask you something.
- Rosso: No.
- Ciel: We didn't even tell you what it is...
- Lu: Shouldn't you at least hear us out?
- Rosso: Isn't it obvious? You want to know how I ended up in the Demon Realm.
- Elesis: You're right. We encountered a powerful demon that invaded Elrios before. If we don't stop him, Elrios will be in danger again. And we've met people we want to help. We need anything that could help us save them.
- Rosso: You have no right to know, and I'm under no obligation to tell you.
- Lu: Such insolence! You would have been stuck in the Demon Realm if it weren't for us!
- Ciel: We did help with the restoration of Elrianode, and fought with Henir's Order. Not to mention fighting with you. I believe that should give us some right to ask you for information.
- Rosso: Don't be obtuse. So you helped out a little while I was gone, so what? Protecting the El is still under the jurisdiction of the El Masters and the Priestesses. Outsiders should stay out of our business.
- Ciel: Jurisdiction granted by what? A civilization long gone?
- Rosso: You think the rules were just made arbitrarily? It's bad enough that we had outsiders meddle in the first place.
- Elesis: What, so now the El Masters will take over going to the Demon Realm and find the Dark El?
- Lu: I thought you had to stay here to protect the El from the Order.
- Rosso: An El Master is responsible for the safety of the El. I heard that the El is unstable at the moment. Which means that finding the Dark El, thus stabilizing the El is also one part of a Master's duty. Sigh... What more do you want? I told you everything I can, so why don't you get lost. Oh, and give us all the information you have on that demon. If we see him, we'll take care of it.
- Lu: Grr! You bullheaded, obstinate little...!
- Elesis: ... Do other Masters share your opinion?
- Rosso: Why should I care what they think?
- Elesis: Then there's still room for discussion. We can't just stand down. I'm going to have to discuss with Master Denif...
- CRASH!
- Rosso: Stop.
- Ciel: What. I thought you had nothing more to tell us?
- Rosso: Didn't I tell you to stay out of our business? And you there, I don't like your cheeky attitude. You better think twice before you open your mouth again.
- Lu: You talk big for someone who was beaten soundly by us before.
- Rosso: That's it! You will regret this, you morons!
- Lu: Who are you calling a moron? Have you even looked at yourself? Why can't yo just open your puny mouth and tell us how you ended up in the Demon Realm?!
- Rosso: Who are you calling puny? You wanna die?!
- Elesis: How did I see this coming...
- Ciel: Well, it would've been harder not to.
- Lu: If we win, you better confess how you go to the Demon Realm!
- Rosso: If you think you can win just because you have an advantage in numbers, you are sorely mistaken.

- Aisha: I hope everyone in Rigomor stay safe until we come back...
- (Collapse)
- Aisha: R, Rena?! Is Rena going to be ok?
- Ventus: She must have been overexerting herself. It doesn't look like anything serious, so she should be fine once Darkmoon takes a look at her.
- Zero: Hm? Rose, what have you got there?
- Rose: Ah, I was looking at the communication device that Add left behind.
- Aisha: You mean the device we used to communicate with Winster in Rigomor? It looks broken. Maybe he meant to throw it away?
- Rose: There's some static, so it's still somewhat functional.
- Chung: Is it still connected?
- Rose: We can only hope. Everyone seems to be fearing the worst, so it would be a relief if we can learn what's happening.
- Chung: Oh... Do you mean to communicate with Rigomor using this device?
- Rose: Indeed.
- Aisha: It's a great idea! Provided it works... If we know exactly what's happening in Rigomor, it will increase our chance of saving them, and giving us a breather.
- Aisha: Ah well, if there are good news to be shared, that is...
- Zero: Let me take a look. Hm... Just as I thought from the exterior. It's junk. It can't catch any signal that's too far away. The reason why we're only hearing static is probably because we're beyond the working parameters.
- Aisha: The Demon Realm and Elrios ARE technically different worlds... Is there nothing we can do?
- Rose: How about strengthening the receptors on our end by using the wavelength of the El?
- Zero: ... I'm listening.
- Rose: Zero, I'm suggesting the method we use to communicate with the Heavens.
- Zero: Hm...?
- Aisha: What's the method?
- Rose: We use the wavelength of the El to send out a signal. It uses the power of El as a medium to send an interdimensional message.
- Aisha: I see! So, what you're saying, is that we might be able to communicate with those in the Demon Realm, just like those in the Heavens can communicate with you, right?
- Rose: That is what I'm suggesting. How about it, Zero. Will it work?
- Zero: Hm... Reverse tracking may work... If we decide to use wavelengths, there's good potential even with this piece of junk. This method have the least limitations in the kind of medium we use, and can cover most distance.
- Rose: Just answer my question, is it possible?
- Zero: In theory, yes! But it's not going to be easy. Probably harder than establishing the communication between Elrios and the Heavens.
- Rose: Why is that? Isn't the Demon Realm closer than the Heavens?
- Ventus: You may think Elrios and the Demon Realm is closer due to the similarities, but they're actually two, completely separate, worlds.
- Zero: And according to the hypothesis we made last time, the El rejects influence from the Demon Realm. Which means, the power of El might not be ideal to reach the Demon Realm. But it's worth a try. Didn't the demons use a dimensional portal using the El or something? Which means it's technically possible.
- Rose: We should find a way to forcibly increase the signal, so it reaches the Demon Realm...
- Aisha: That sounds complicated... It might have been easier if we tried to do it in the Demon Realm, but at this time, we're not even sure when we'll go back.
- Ventus: Haha. My, aren't you in a pinch.
- Aisha: .......
- Ventus: ?
- Aisha: Master Ventus, I heard each El element has different properties. What properties does the Wind El have?
- Ventus: I have a feeling that I shouldn't answer this question for my own good... Well, if you define the properties of the Wind El in one word... I guess, it's movement.
- Aisha: Movement?
- Ventus: Mmhm. High to low, hot to cold... When that movement meets fire, it swallows everything in its wake, and when it meets water, it raises great waves. I guess I could say, that if you're trying to use an elemental El to connect to the Demon Realm, the wind might have a slightly better chance of succeeding than the other elements.
- Rose: If there's a chance, I'd like to try, no matter how little. Master Ventus, may I ask for your assistance?
- Ventus: Mmhm- Well, I guess you did help us out a lot, and looks like I'm the only option there is. Then let us find a place, Hm? I shouldn't really use my powers near the El Tower.
- Rose: Understood. Everyone, we will come back after attempting communication with the Demon Realm.

- Aisha: Oh, looks like we're the only ones left. Didn't Elsword tell everyone to rest easy? Oh well. I guess it's understandable why everyone is feeling restless right now. Ok! I better get moving too! Let's see... We already have people looking into the portal, and Rose and Zero is going to be investigating communications with Rigomor, so...
- Chung: .......
- Aisha: Hm... (Chung looks really down... Almost like a puppy out in rain.) ... Hey, Chung. I was thinking about finding Master Denif. Do you want to come with me?
- Chung: Hm, uh, what? I'm sorry, I didn't catch that. I had a lot on my mind. ...What did you say?
- Aisha: I was going to go ask Master Denif if I could take a look at the fused El that Hennon used.
- Chung: You mean the substance that was a mixture of the Primal El and the Dark El? Why do you need it?
- Aisha: Well, we went to the Demon Realm to find the Dark El, right? We even took the gem out of Varnimyr hoping it will help us find the Dark El. But we didn't manage to bring it here... So we need another plan.
- Chung: Hennon tried to go to the Demon Realm using the Primal El... But we decided not to use the Primal El because it was unstable. What changed?
- Aisha: Nothing really... Since it's composed of the Primal El and the Dark El, we can't predict what could happen, just like Master Denif said. But we have a mission! And I'm not just talking about defeating Berthe. So, I want to be prepared for anything! So... Do you want to come? You look like you need something to distract you a bit. Oh, don't think you have to follow me or anything. If you're exhausted, you should rest!
- Chung: No, you're right. I'll go with you. Sorry, Aisha. I didn't mean to worry you.
- Aisha: Not at all! You are very reliable and a great help!
- Chung: ...Thank you for that... But I feel like I should have done more to help. If I were doing my part... maybe Ain wouldn't be hurt right now...
- Aisha: Chung...
- Chung: ...Let's go. To Master Denif.
|
Quest Completion Dialogue

- Aisha: Master Denif! Here you are!
- Denif: Hm? Do you need something? We've already sent Elsword and others to Elysion.
- Chung: Oh... Um... Ah! We wanted to ask if there were any other invasions from Henir's Order after the restoration of the Large El?
- Denif: Not after Hennon. However, the El became more unstable since the incident last time with Henir's Passage. The El is more vulnerable at this time, so we must stay vigilant.
- Aisha: I see. Is that why you're keeping watch?
- Denif: Of course. It's my duty as an El Master.
- Aisha: (Haha... You say that when all the other El Masters are off doing something else...)
- Denif: Is that the only buisness you have with me?
- Aisha: Um, no... I actually wanted to ask if I could take a look at the fused El that Hennon used.
- Denif: Are you also looking for a way to go to the Demon Realm? Do not try anything reckless. As I have told you before, the fused El is nothing but waste.
- Aisha: Oh! Uh, I'm not trying to use it to open a portal! The thing is... I thought it might be useful in tracking the Dark El. It probably won't be that accurate, with it fused with the Primal El and all... But as long as it reacts to the Dark El...
- Denif: Then it would be useful in tracking the Dark El in the Demon Realm.
- Aisha: Exactly! So I wanted to take a look at it, and gain insight from you.
- Denif: Hm... There's no need.
- Chung: Oh... Ah...
- Denif: What I mean to say is that I already have a device that could potentially track the Dark El. If you need it in your journey, I will provide it for you.
- Chung: What? There's already a device like that?
- Aisha: Why do you have such a device...? Did you predict something like this would happen?
- Denif: No. But you said the Dark El seems to work similarly to the El. Then this device should help. I was already planning on handing it over to you once everyone comes back... But there's no reason not to give it to you now.
- Chung: It almost looks like a pocket watch.
- Denif: It reacts strongly to the energy of the Water El. It was used to find bodies of water long ago.
- Denif: If the Dark El is similar to the El, it should point in the direction of the Dark El once you are in the Demon Realm.
- Aisha: I see! Do you think the Dark El also holds elemental attributes like the El?
- Denif: I cannot guarantee it does, but I do suspect it is worth an attempt. At the very least, it should have a better chance of working than the corrupted energy waste.
- Chung: A watch... No, I guess it's closer to a compass. What does it look like inside?
- Denif: I cannot show you at the moment, as I have put a seal on it.
- Chung: Is it difficult to unseal?
- Denif: Not exactly. The problem lies in the fact that it uses a special seal. If I unseal it myself, I would be the only one that could use it. In order for you to use this device, you must enter the device and release the seal yourself.
- Chung: How can we enter such a tiny thing...?
- Aisha: A space expansion magic...? That must be some special seal.
- Denif: So, what would it be? If you wish, I will transport you into the device.
- Aisha: W, wait, what's in it? What are we supposed to do?
- Denif: Hm... I do not know.
- Chung: Huh?
- Denif: I am not certain how the 'thing inside' will react. It will react differently depending on who is attempting to unseal the device. It may act harsh, but I am certain you will manage it just fine. I can only advice you should be mentally prepared.
- Chung: What could possibly be inside this thing...?
- Aisha: Sigh...! Alright! A mysterious seal by the Sage? The Genius Girl Magician Aisha will unseal it, no problem! Let's go, Chung!
- Chung: ...Alright.
- Denif: Then I will open the way. I wish you best of luck.

- Chung: ...Errr. Did something happen when you went to see Master Rosso?
- Rena: Your cloths are all burnt, and you look worn out!
- Lu: Rosso, that rude imbecile was antagonistic to the end! We just wanted to ask how to get to the Demon Realm, and he started lashing out for no reason!
- Rose: I heard Master Rosso was very worried about us when we were trapped in Henir's Passage. Apparently, he insisted that they had to help us out. I thought he was very considerate.
- Lu: Who said such nonsense! As someone who actually met him, I cannot agree one word of that rubbish statement!
- Aisha: So? What happened? Did you learn how Master Rosso went to the Demon Realm?
- Ciel: Yes. He told us that Elrios became unstable during the El explosion creating many rifts. He just jumped into one of the rifts and ended up in Varnimyr.
- Chung: Oh... I guess that's not a viable option for us, then. We can't exactly cause another El explosion just to go to the Demon Realm...
- Elesis: Yes. We can only hope that those who went to find the demon engineer come back with good news. I'll go meet the priestesses. It's only a matter of time before the demons invade Elrios again, so I need to send a message to Velder.
- Lu: We didn't expect much going in, but it's still disappointing. If only we knew what's going on in the Demon Realm at the moment...
- Rose: Actually, I have something to tell you on that matter.
- Lu: Oh? What is it?
- Aisha: When the three of you went to see Master Rosso, Rose went to look for a way to communicate with the Demon Realm with Master Ventus's assistance.
- Rena: Oh yeah! How did that go?
- Rose: We managed to receive a message sent from the White-Ghost King's territory. There was a lot of static, so Zero and I were trying to figure out the missing pieces.
- Zero: This is what we've got so far. [This is Au--ra. We've found the soul. Return immediately, Rigomor is safe. Do not reply. They may be monitoring us.] We had to fill in a lot of blanks, but that should be the gist of it. We listened to the recorded message thousands of times just in case!
- Rose: We did have some difficulty, but do not exaggerate, Zero.
- Chung: Thank goodness, Rigomor is safe...
- Rena: But they may be monitored... I guess they're under heavy scrutiny. At least it seems like Berthe hasn't harmed them yet.
- Aisha: They're probably in too much of a hurry. Remember when he showed up in Ruben that one time to take the El?
- Rena: He was also alone in Rigomor as well. But he had an army in Feita... What's the difference? What does he have to hide?
- Aisha: That's it! I think Berthe doesn't trust his subordinates. He'd use them only when necessary. Right now, he must be focused on searching the soul fragments.
- Lu: Which is why he's leaving Rigomor alone at the moment... Insolent beast! Every move he makes irritates me to no end!
- Zero: That's all we've got so far. If only we knew the site of operation, or the location of the soul fragment... It would have helped a lot.
- Lu: Hm... It's just a speculation... But I believe the site of operation is at the west most territory of the White-Ghost King.
- Ciel: What? How did you know that? If I remember correctly, Winster didn't tell us anything.
- Lu: That thing they mention in the beginning of the message is likely Aurora. The White-Ghost King's territory is the furthest north of all the territories. Its chilling wind never stops howling.
- Chung: The furthest north... I guess that's why Rigomor was so cold.
- Lu: I remember what Aegrip told me one day. That the land furthest west of the White-Ghost King is a barren land everyone avoids, but you can see the most beautiful aurora there.... Isn't it an ideal hiding place for the people who lost their lord?
- Zero: That makes sense. They're likely using a codename to hide both the sender and the receiver. Using 'Aurora' as a codename is probably ideal in concealing the exact location of their base.
- Ciel: And from what Lu just said, the site of operation is probably well hidden from Garen.
- Lu: ...Thank you. We managed to learn so many things, including the current situation in Rigomor.
- Zero: And it's all thanks to the fantastic, magnificent Zero!
- Rose: I've only done what I had to do. It's still vague and broad, but we might be able to contact Winster and Nichel once we have assistance from the demon engineer.
- Lu: Yes, that would be ideal.
- Rena: Um, Lu. Can I ask you something about the Demon Realm? Are there any demons that look like an elf like me, excluding the dark elves in the Demon Realm?
- Lu: Hm... There are so many species and kinds of demons that I cannot say for sure. Why do you ask?
- Rena: You know when Master Ventus came to us in the Demon Realm? Lincy said she saw an elf there.
- Lu: How strange. Even if that's true, how did the elf end up in the Demon Realm?
- Aisha: It's not completely out of the question. Since demons were involved in many things in Elrios before we knew their existence.
- Lu: Like that strange laboratory in Elrianode? But it's strange. If demons had the power to jump dimensions... We would have invaded Elrios ages ago. Aegrip is truly an exception.
- Ciel: Maybe they were swept by Henir's rift like Rosso. It's not too out of the ordinary for an elf to survive that long, right?
- Aisha: (Or maybe... This was done by a 3rd party.) ......
- Rena: What are you thinking about, Aisha?
- Aisha: Mm... Huh? Oh! I was just waiting for an opportunity to tell you! Chung! Show them the device!
- Chung: Yes! We got something that might help us locate the Dark El in the Demon Realm. Here, a compass.
- Aisha: It's supposed to point in the direction where it senses strong water energy. If the Dark El also has elemental attributes like the Large El, it should point us in the direction of the Dark El once we're in the Demon Realm.
- Rena: I see...! That's great! But where did you get such a thing?
- Aisha: Master Denif. He said it was a keepsake of his mother.
- Rena: I wonder if it's ok for us to take such an important item. It shows that he puts a lot of faith on us, but...
- Chung: We'll just have to return his faith with results! Let's find the Dark El, completely restore the Large El, and stop Henir's Order!
- Ciel: That's the spirit. Feeling better now?
- Chung: Yup! Haha... Sorry, I guess I was a bit down lately.
- Ciel: To tell you the truth, you looked like a sad puppy out in rain.
- Aisha: Haha!
- Lu: Aisha? What is it?
- Aisha: Oh, nothing!

Chapter 41-1: ???
After arriving to the temple, Ara, Laby and Gaia decide to try and find clues on where they are exactly. After sparring with Gaia, Ara learns why she was hesitant to say something to Eun; she considers him like family. She manages to convince Eun to first help them with resurrection of the lord, then ask questions afterwards, finding the circumstances suspicious.

- Gaia: We managed to leave right away, but...
- Laby: Hmm... Sorry... Laby was only looking at the red needle... So Laby doesn't remember what was around at all...
- Gaia: I overestimated my knowledge of the area as well. I didn't realize how much the lands have changed since I was asleep. Looks like the the old map I have is useless...
- Laby: Oh! Laby knows a way if we don't know how to get there! If we jump into the sea, the waves will carry us to the Bamboo forest!
- Gaia: ... Maybe we should use that after our final resort.
- Laby: Eh? What's after final?
- Ara: Master Gaia, Laby! I found a path!
- Gaia: Oh? Are you certain?
- Laby: Laby only sees trees.
- Ara: This flower may look like a common weed, but it actually requires great care to bloom. It's often planted near a shrine to encourage people to visit, and it's never seen in this quantity in the wild.
- Gaia: So there's a path where people frequent nearby?
- Ara: From the condition of the flowers, I don't think people come this way anymore. But there are still traces left, so we should be able to find the shrine by following these flowers. Once we find the shrine, we would be able to figure out where we are.
- Laby: Amazing! How do you know so much, Ara?
- Ara: Where I'm from... This kind of information is readily available for anyone who's interested... And I used to visit different shrines with my mother when I was young.
- Gaia: There's not much we know about the Northern Empire. Although, I did hear the people of the Northern Empire believe in the holy beasts...
- Ara: It's because the spirits here hold more power, as people believe in spirits unlike Velder who only believed in the goddess... Although many only believed in the powerful spirits. There are many guardian spirits, and many believed in different spirits for reasons such as fertility, health, and wealth. I suspect the shrine here was built for one such spirit.
- Gaia: I'm glad you've come with us. Thank you.
- Ara: I'm glad to help. Now I'll lead the way, follow me.

- Laby: Whoa! A house!! Oh! A snake!
- Ara: Looks like the Shrine of the Two-Headed Serpent. It's a spirit that usually represents harmony between family members and love between siblings.
- Laby: Are there other meanings?
- Ara: It also represents sacrifice and revival. The tale of the two-headed serpent starts with the death of the brother snake. It's a story of a snake who wished to save his younger brother. It is said that after days of prayer, the younger brother was restored, attached to his older brother.
- Gaia: So that's why there are two heads. I'm not sure if it's a happy ending...
- Ara: I had many siblings. So the adults in the family often told this tale, telling us to get along.
- Laby: You started your journey to save your family, right? Is it because he's family that you want to save him?
- Ara: Well... That's one reason... But it's more because he's someone I respect.
- Laby: Respect... Haivan said he respected Winster... Why didn't he act like Ara?
- Ara: .......
- Laby: Winster is Haivan's family. And Nichel grew up like family. Why did Haivan do something that will hurt his family?
- Gaia: .......
- Laby: Laby was thinking... But Laby still don't get it. Laby gets sad just thinking about being mean to Nisha. Did Haivan actually really really hate Winster? Did Haivan hurt Winster because Winster is not important?
- Ara: When Berthe came with an army... Haivan looked surprised.
- Laby: Yeah, Laby remembers.
- Ara: I think... Haivan didn't intend to hurt others. He did help us before we entered the secret laboratory.
- Laby: But... Haivan lied to Winster and Nichel and sided with Berthe! Isn't that still mean?
- Ara: ... Maybe it's because their goal differed too greatly.
- Laby: Their goal?
- Ara: Yes. Everyone has their own path to follow, and that path does not necessarily converge just because they are close to one another. I don't think it's right that he betrayed his family and friend. But... But there must be a reason behind his action. And... I get the feeling... That he didn't want Winster and Nichel to get hurt despite their differences.
- Laby: ... Laby don't get it. Winster and Nichel looked really shocked because of what Haivan did.
- Ara: The fact that he hurt them will never go away.
- Laby: Why did Winster say Haivan didn't do it, even though he knew Haivan lied?
- Ara: Isn't it because he wished to believe in him? That Haivan never intended to hurt Winster, Nichel, and the villagers. That is was a misunderstanding devised by a nefarious villain... It may be foolish, but there are those who cling on to even a sliver of hope.
- Laby: .......
- Ara: I will go inspect the shrine. There may be something inside that shows us where we are.
- Gaia: Oh, I'll follow you...
- Ara: It's fine. Please wait for me here, Master Gaia, Laby.
- Laby: (Ara looks sad...)

Chapter 41-1: Something Important
Laby, after arriving, decides to spar with Gaia, in order to refresh the skills and show what she has learned. Although Gaia is proud of her skills, he still worries she may get hurt in the Demon Realm, but isn't sure how to say it well. - Laby: Phewy, it's a puzzle...
- Gaia: Are you still thinking about the family you'd met in the Demon Realm?
- Laby: Uh huh. Because Winster is Calonne's friend, and Calonne is my friend. But Haivan is Winster's son... but hurt Winster... But if Winster is hurt, Laby thinks Calonne would be hurt, too.
- Gaia: You might be overthinking it... But you're right. No one's happy to know something bad happened to their friend.
- Laby: Why can't everyone get along? Is it ok to hurt the people you you love if you're following a goal?
- Gaia: ....... Laby... If...
- Laby: Huh?
- Gaia: ... It's nothing. You seem to have a lot on your mind. Do you want to spar?
- Laby: Oh! Great idea! Let's see if you've gotten any better, Bellonde!
- Gaia: That should be my line. Alright then, let's learn a thing or two.
- Laby: Ok! Laby won't go easy on you!
- Gaia: Laby, how was the Demon Realm?
- Laby: Oh! So this is Laby's first time fighting with other people other than Bellonde... But it was like they were reading Laby's mind! They knew where to go without saying 'Help!' or 'I'll Help!'
- Gaia: Is that so? That must be because they've matched with your pace. They are experienced fighters.
- Laby: Oh, really? I think Bellonde is right! The El Search Party is amazing! Do you think Laby can learn more by following the El Search Party?
- Gaia: .......
- Laby: And, you know what else? Laby saw these thingys that blew bubbles that float! At first, Laby was gonna punch it like this! But then, Laby thought, 'Weird, Laby wants to punch this bubble too much!' so Laby decided to attack with Nisha instead! Turns out, those bubbles go boom! It would have been real bad if Laby just punched it!
- Gaia: Haha, you're applying the knowledge you've gained from past battles! Great job!
- Laby: You think so? Hehee, hear that Nisha? So Laby grew stronger, too!
- Gaia: (Laby is learning more and more about the world. I shouldn't hold her back, and let her go to the Demon Realm. But there's still a lot she doesn't know... I just wish she wouldn't get hurt by those things...)
|
Quest Completion Dialogue

- Gaia: Laby, you asked earlier why everyone didn't just get along, right?
- Laby: Uh huh, Laby doesn't understand why they say they're important, but then go fight each other. There's not enough time in the world even if they always get along!
- Gaia: Even if you're close, you can still fight. Everyone thinks differently, and what they think is most important is not always the same.
- Laby: That sounds like what Ara said earlier. So... Is it like how Laby and Bellonde want something different for dinner, even though we are besties?
- Gaia: Haha. Yes, it's like that. Sometimes people can fight for such trivial things.
- Laby: Ehhh, oh noooo!
- Gaia: Huh? What's wrong?
- Laby: If people fight over things like that, what if Laby and the El Search Party get in to a fight? We can have different things ten times over!! Which gets Laby thinking... Laby doesn't think the El Search Party's goal is also finding our who Laby is!!
- Gaia: I suppose? The El Search Party initially went to the Demon Realm to stop the Order of Henir and find the Dark El to completely restore the El, after all.... Did you have fun spending time with them?
- Laby: Uh huh... There's one guy who always talks like a bad guy! But everyone was really nice and fun.
- Gaia: Do you always want to be with them?
- Laby: Not sure. But it's not like we can always stay together because Laby wants to. The El Search Party had the El Search Party goals, right?
- Gaia: But you can always tell them what you think.
- Laby: But what if we fight because of that? Laby doesn't want to fight with the El Search Party...
- Gaia: It doesn't always lead to a fight just because you want something different. History may be painted by war, but it's conversation and understanding that are at the heart of our lives. If everyone always fought because we thought differently, we wouldn't be together right now. As long as the goals are not opposing each other, there must be an intersection. Even if it's not the same, it can be similar. I'm sure you have one too. Laby, I don't want you to regret not saying anything. It's just as you said, there's not enough time, even when we always get along.
- Laby: Did Bellonde regret not saying something?
- Gaia: ... Laby, do you know what's scarier than fighting?
- Laby: Huh? Scarier than fighting?
- Gaia: It's to hide without confronting, giving up before persuading, turning away without being understood. If there's a fight, then at least you know what they're thinking, but if they don't say anything, there's no way to know. You just believe you know them, until you're left behind by those who you thought were your friends. You can't help having different opinions from others, but if you care, you should tell them what you think. That's how you respect one another.
- Laby: Sometimes, Bellonde say something that's too confusing.
- Gaia: Haha, just thinking about it. I'll go look for a way out with Ara.
- Laby: Ok! Laby will think really hard with Nisha!

- Laby: Nisha, what are you thinking?
- Nisha: (......)
- Laby: So, you know, Laby was thinking about what Haivan did... But also when Elsword was really angry at Add when we fist arrived in Elrianode. Elsword was angry, but Elesis said Add did the right thing.
- Nisha: (............)
- Laby: Huh? You think Elsword knows, too? Then... Is that similar to what Bellone told Ara? Fighting because they're different, even though they're important to each other? So, it's not just because a bad guy forces you to fight, like that time we fought with furries? .......
- Nisha: (......?)
- Laby: It's ok, Nisha. Even though Laby is worried that one day, Laby will fight the El Search Party for something really small... But, not just that... Laby gets the feeling that Laby is forgetting something reaaaally important. Hmmmm... You know, even though Laby is worried, Laby was thinking... If Nisha didn't give Laby sadness, Laby wouldn't hae known what worrying is. And Laby wouldn't have understood why other people worried about something important to them. But thanks to Nisha, Laby gets it... A little. If someone can be worried because it's important, then that important feeling must be different from the important feeling Laby felt when Laby didn't understand sadness. That feeling of Elesis worrying about her brother, and Elsword being angry for the people we've left... Laby wants to learn that sad feeling from having something important. Because Laby also has many important things.
- Nisha: (... .......)
- Laby: Oh...! So Nisha's saying that Laby is worried because the El Search Party is now important to Laby? Then does that mean Laby already knows this feeling? Whoa! Laby had no idea! Then... What do we do? We need to know where Laby and Nisha came from. That's different from what the El Search Party has to do...
- Nisha: (.......)
- Laby: That intersection Bellonde talked about? Hm... They said Elesis didn't want to go to the Demon Realm at first. But they had to go to the Demon Realm to defeat the bad guys, so she changed her mind. She knew she had to try harder.... Nisha... If, if Laby wants to go with the El Search Party... What would you do?
- Nisha: (.......)
- Laby: You'll come with Laby? But isn't that really different from our goal?
- Nisha: (... .......)
- Laby: Oh! That's what Laby was thinking! As long as we don't give up on learning about Laby and Nisha's past, it would be ok... Even if we go the long way! You already knew that thought. This intersection with the El Search Party only happened because Laby came out of the forest and met Bellonde, and many other people. As long as Laby learns and knows more about the world, there will be many more intersections. Then, Laby will learn things that Laby didn't know, or things Laby didn't notice, right?
- Nisha: (........)
- Laby: Hehee, Laby is really happy you said that, Nisha! It's thanks to you! Just like always, let's learn many new things together. Because we're the most important goal to each other, right?
- Laby: Ara! Bellonde!!
- Gaia: Oh, Laby! We should get going soon!
- Laby: Huh? Were you still talking?
- Ara: We just finished, Laby. We've checked the map of the area, so I'll lead the way until the road becomes familiar to you.
- Laby: Really? Laby knew we could count on Ara!
- Ara: Shall we get going, then? It's best we hurry on our way.
- Laby: Ok! Let's go!
|

- Laby: Ooooh! Laby knows this place! Nisha, you remember too, right?
- Gaia: The map must have been accurate. We didn't get lost since the Shrine. This is all thanks to...
- Laby: Shh! Bellonde, you can't talk! Ara is talking to someone!!
- Gaia: Talking...? With who?
- Laby: Mmm, uh... Ara said, a very important family that's always with her!
- Gaia: Is that so? I'm not sure if I understand... But the El Search Party all did have interesting powers...
- Laby: Hehee, uh huh! They're all fun and weird!
- Gaia: ... Are you done worrying now?
- Laby: About Laby's goal being different from the El Search Party? Yup! Laby wants to travel with the El Search Party, and learn who Laby is! So, Laby was thinking... Right now, Laby wants to save Calonne's friend the most!
- Gaia: Then... You will be traveling with the El Search Party?
- Laby: Yup! At least until the intersection. After that, we're gonna think later. Right, Nisha? And although Laby doesn't understand Haivan... Laby will understand Haivan one day. Luke how Laby understands Nisha, even though we think differently. So, Laby is gonna talk to him. Because Bellonde said to talk directly!
- Gaia: ... Laby.
- Laby: Thank you, Bellonde.
- Gaia: Huh?
- Laby: You teach Laby lots of things whenever Laby is worried. Laby still have much to learn! Last time, when we were separated at the ship, Laby was ok because Bellonde taught Laby lots of things! Like how it was thanks to Ignia and many friends that Laby was able to figure out Laby's relationship with Nisha! Laby was able to come here because of many intersections. Laby knows that's the kind of path Laby will walk from now on. So, even if we all get separated... Laby will be ok. Because everything that everyone taught Laby, will still be all inside Laby! So you don't have to worry about Laby anymore.
- Gaia: ...!
- Laby: Oh, over there! That's Mao and Calonne's house! Eh? Ara, what are you doing all the way back there? Come on! Laby will introduce you to Laby's friends!
- Ara: Yes...! Coming!
- Gaia: Laby, I...
- Laby: Huh?
- Gaia: ......... I just want you to be healthy. Would you do that for me?
- Laby: Of course! Laby's always healthy!
- Gaia: Alright... That's all I ask for.

- Elesis: Ugh, his movement is definitely different from before.
- Ciel: His attacks are more precise. It is slightly more troublesome...
- Rosso: It's too late to regret your decision now!
- Lu: Why are you so derisive? You think we're not aware that the method you used to go to the Demon Realm is no longer available?
- Rosso: If you're so aware, then why come bother me? You enjoy bothering others for fun?
- Lu: Because then, we'll know for certain! Instead of just giving up based on our assumption! I need to go back to the Demon Realm! I promised that I'll help with Aegirp's resurrection!
- Rosso: Maybe you shouldn't have made promises you can't keep.
- Lu: .......
- Ciel: Hey. I get that you've got no manners, but there's only so much rudeness we will tolerate.
- Rosso: ... Half-demon? You better lie low and stand down instead of prancing as a lackey.
- Lu: Isn't that hypocritical coming from someone who became a Fire Master as a half-demon yourself?
- Rosso: ...!!
- Ciel: What? I thought the demonic energy we felt is Varnimyr was from the Crimson Eye?
- Elesis: ... Lu, are you saying he was a half-demon even before he was a Fire Master?
- Lu: His body holds demonic energy that's inherent to him. There's no mistake, he was born a half-demon.
- Rosso: ... Tsk. Looks like it's easier for demons to sense it. Old man was never able to pin it down.
- Lu: So I was right. Although this is the first time I've encountered anyone who is a half-demon by birth, it wasn't hard to notice the demonic energy that's contained by the fire within.
- Elesis: I don't believe it. It thought demons instinctively hated Elrios! Does that mean Master Denif allowed someone with the propensity to hate Elrios as one of the El Masters?
- Rosso: Hatred... towards Elrios? What are you talking about?
- Ciel: You don't know? Hm... Maybe half-demons are free from such inclinations.
- Rosso: I don't know what you are talking about, but you're wrong. I'm not containing the demonic energy with fire. It's the demonic energy that's containing the power of fire within.
- KLANG-!!
- Ciel: Kugh!
- Rosso: Were you all just talk? Why don't you give it all you've got? You'll pay for making me remember unpleasant memories.

- CLINK-!
- Elesis: Ugh...! I still don't get it.
- Rosso: .......
- Elesis: Let's say you can become a master even as a half-demon. But then, why would you even want to be an El Master?
- Ciel: Ah, that's an interesting point. Say, maybe you've decided to become an El Master because of... an ulterior motive?
- Rosso: The audacity of these... Are you seriously questioning my motives?
- Elesis: How can you be surprised after acting like that? Why else would you want to go to the Demon Realm if not for dubious motives? When we decided to go to the Demon Realm, the Master decided to stay because they needed to protect the El. But it seems like you don't even care about those reasons. Don't you think that's enough for us to suspect you?
- Rosso: The El can be guarded by the others. No one else has to go to the Demon Realm but me.
- Elesis: And we're saying that kind of attitude is exactly what makes you look suspicious. Sigh, he's not even trying to hid it, or he just has no tact.
- Rosso: I can ask you the same thing. Why are YOU so desperate to go to the Demon Realm?
- Elesis: What?
- Rosso: If I'm so suspicious for wanting to go to the Demon Realm as a half-demon, how is that any different from you? So what, if I'm a half-demon and a full-fledged one. Doesn't that make you more suspicious than I am?
- Lu: Were you listening to anything we were saying? After all the hard work we've gone through...!
- Rosso: If you're going to list all the things you've done for Elrios, you can save your breath. What do you think I was doing as a Fire Master? Are you trying to open a contest of who did more for Elrios between us?
- Elesis: ... Fire Master. I don't know why you're being so defensive.
- Lu: Defensive? Elesis, you don't call that kind of attitude defensive! With his thorns sticking out like a...!
- Ciel: Ah, you're right. Those who wish harm on others don't surround themselves with thorns, when it's much more effective to stab someone close by.
- Elesis: Even though he's acting like he wants to shut us off with brute force, he's still answering to all our questions. He's making at least some effort to persuade us. You're just trying to stop us from going to the Demon Realm, am I right?
- Rosso: .......

It seems the Fire Master doesn't want the El Search Party to go to the Demon Realm any more. However, the question still remains why.

Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Rosso: Why does it have to be you that goes to the Demon Realm?
- Elesis: In order to stop the order and fully restore the El, we need the Dark El.
- Ciel: You're right. The one to find the Dark El doesn't have to be us. But if you think about it objectively, what other team is more suited for this job than the El Search Party?
- Rosso: I...
- Elesis: You alone are not a team. Solo infiltration missions rarely succeed. No commander will order such a mission. When it's required to infiltrate the enemy lines with little to no information, we send 5 teams of at least two to collect intelligence. Of course... there's always exceptions.
- Rosso: I have not obligation to follow those rules.
- Elesis: My words exactly. 'The El Search Party' is a team directly under the Velder Kingdom. We have no obligation to follow any rules made by a higher up from a kingdom long gone.
- Rosso: You'll be facing despair. The Demon Realm is not a place where rules and regulations you're so fond of, applies.... Wasn't losing your brother once already enough?
- Elesis: ......!
- Ciel: You're saying as if we're headed to our doom by going to the Demon Realm.
- Rosso: If everything goes according to plan, the El wouldn't have exploded in the first place. Heading to a world, where the influence of the El and the goddess doesn't reach, means that death is at every corner. You have too much to lose to be prepared for such a place. Prepared to die? When you still have so many things that are too precious and dear? Give me a break.
- Elesis: ... So, you want to sacrifice yourself in our stead, because you have nothing to lose?
- Rosso: ... I'm just doing my duty. Don't put words in my mouth.
- Lu: All those acerbic words... You were actually...
- Rosso: No! It's not what you think!
- Ciel: If you're so worried about us, why don't you come with us?
- Lu: Why, if you were honest about your concerns, I would have allowed it as well.
- Rosso: I'm gonna kill you...
- Elesis: To be clear, of course I don't want Elsword to be in any kind of danger.
- Rosso: Then why...!
- Elesis: But this is the path we've chosen. And this is the path I will stand by.
- Rosso: ....... The path, the choice, I don't care about any of those things. But once you enter the Demon Realm, there will come a day when you have to make a decision. Whether it's determination or recklessness, as long as you choose a path, there will always be something you leave behind. Are you going to sacrifice yourself, after pulling your brother out of the El to prevent him from sacrificing himself? Now isn't that a fine example of hypocrisy.
- Lu: Tsk... You...
- Ciel: I don't know what you're trying to tell us.
- Rosso: Ha, even after all that...
- Ciel: Why don't you worry about things that might not even happen? You're making life more difficult than it has to be.
- Rosso: What?
- Elesis: !
- Ciel: What, so the only ones that should venture to the Demon Realm are those without money, connection, or meaning? I won't stop you from thinking that way, but I can't say I agree. Maybe you want to stop us from going, by threatening us with the possibility of risking our lives or sacrificing for others... But we've already made up our minds when we decided to pull Elsword out of the El. If something happens, and we are in another grave danger, I will live if that's the last thing I do. I will not let my life slip away as long as Lu wills it.
- Lu: Ciel...

- Rosso: What kind of nonsense are you...
- Lu: ... Ciel's right.
- Rosso: Ha?
- Lu: I almost wasted my time over useless speculation. Did my decision to go back to the Demon Realm to fulfill my promise anger you so? Then tell me this. If you think surviving is more important than the determination to fulfill one's promises... Why aren't you acting so yourself? Aren't you also the kind of person who prioritize promises and will over mere survival?
- Rosso: ... That's different. I'm not weak.
- Elesis: You're really stubborn...
- Lu: Ciel and I are bound by contract. If, hypothetically speaking, I needed to go back to the Demon Realm only to take revenge, I may have reconsidered from your words. Because if such a thing you speak of, do occur... I won't even have the choice to give up my own life to save Ciel's. However... Despite all that, I must go back because... There was someone who acknowledged my authority as a ruler, and asked for my aid. Though Ciel is still very important to me, I have given Winster my word, which makes him a subject I must protect. I have forgotten what it feels to rule... What it feels to lead, for too long. Why must I go back to the Demon Realm, you ask? I must go back to take back my throne that was taken from me. I must save my people, and aid them in best of my abilities, while punishing them if necessary. That, is a promise I've made as lord. Who will dare stand in the way of a ruler headed to fulfill their duty to their people?
- Rosso: .......
- Elesis: It's just as Ciel said, Rosso. We already made our decision once. When we decided then, we agreed together, that we will face even the most improbable situations together.
- Rosso: ....... Hmph, I was foolish to think I could persuade knuckleheads like you.
- Lu: Oh! Finally in the mood for an explanation?
- Rosso: You wish. I'm only telling you because I know you morons won't be able to do it.
- Ciel: I think I'm getting used to interpreting his words. Alright then, we won't think we managed to persuade you to tell us, so why don't you just go ahead.
- Rosso: Why you...!
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Rosso: ... Sigh. I told you earlier, I'm using demonic energy to suppress the power of fire. Unlike the other elements, Fire is difficult to handle. Many were turned to ashes because they were unable to handle the all-consuming power of fire. The Rosso family, who wished to elect a Fire Master, recognized a need to find another power that can suppress fire. For example... Demonic energy. A power that differs greatly from the power of the El.
- Elesis: Still... Power of demons?
- Rosso: Back then, nobody had any knowledge on demons. I was just a kid with unique powers. Though it wasn't as strong as a full-fledged demon's, I had enough inherent demonic energy to become a test subject, where I was given the Crimson Eye to control the power of Fire.... The experiment didn't always go smoothly, but the power of fire and the demonic energy is now at a perfect balance. If one suddenly depleted, I will no longer be able to control the other. On the day each El Masters were supposed to imbue their element to an El Shard, the one who faced the biggest issue, was me.
- Ciel: I see. While imbuing the El shard with the power of fire, the balance between the demonic energy and the fire energy must have broke.
- Rosso: It was a chaotic time. If there was a berserk half-demon on top of all the Masters being absent... Elrios would be a very different place right now.
- Elesis: So is that why you went to the Demon Realm? So you won't go berserk in Elrios?
- Rosso: .......... When the El exploded, many rifts were formed. It was even worse near a strong El shard. I was able to to go to the Demon Realm because of that rift. I jumped into one before I completely lost my mind, after I created the Fire El. That is all. Now do you understand why you can't do the same?
- Lu: ... You...
- Ciel: Why didn't the priestesses help you? Although they're not proficient in battle, they seem capable of handling the power of the El just fine.
- Rosso: Back then, the Priestess system was just created. They were still busy learning the basics from the masters. It would have been suicide for them to help with their inexperienced power.
- Elesis: ... But why would you do that to yourself? There was no guarantee what could have happened when you jumped into the rift. Don't tell me that was part of your duty as well?
- Rosso: Hmph, as if anyone can make me.
- Elesis: The tower you were trapped in... It had no entrance or exit. Even your own power of the Fire El was trapped outside, without being able to reach you.
- Lu: You trapped yourself, didn't you? So you won't harm others.
- Rosso: ... I told you everything you wanted to know. Is that all?
- Elesis: Rosso. I still don't want you to go to the Demon Realm.
- Rosso: ... What, you think I don't have what it takes after that sob story?
- Elesis: No. It's just... Now I understand, you've come to expect your sacrifice for granted. And it bothers me. Because... you remind me of my brother. I don't know what happened in the past... But my brother decided to sacrifice himself because he was like you, in a way. You've already sacrificed enough. You've exiled yourself to protect Elrios. I can't even imagine what it would feel like to survive in a prison you've created for yourself for centuries. But it was thanks to your efforts in the past that Elrios is as it is right now. So now, leave it to us.
- Ciel: We're not as weak as you think.
- Lu: I understand why you didn't want to tell us. While it wasn't helpful, I guess thanks are still in order.
- Rosso: You're really annoying...
- Lu: How fascinating. I find you annoying as well.
- Rosso: If you're done, get lost. I need to practice controlling my powers more.
- Ciel: You don't seem like the hard-working type.
- Rosso: You wanna die?
- Lu: I don't think you're completely recovered yet. It must be difficult to control your powers without the Crimson Eye.
- Elesis: So is this what Ventus meant, when he said making up for something you've lost in the Demon Realm?
- Rosso: That long-eared, good-for-nothing...
- Ciel: THAT, was someone having difficulties controlling his power?
- Rosso: I told you, you're nothing against me.
- Lu: Ugh! Rude to the end!

Chapter 41-1: As a Friend
Rena wakes up, but wonder about her own condition due to having stayed in the Demon Realm for far enough, although Ventus doesn't want her to go due to worrying. They decide to spar together, and Rena reveals her feeling, including not being sure if her close friend, Lua, is really gone or not. Lincy reveals to Rena that she saw an elf, and she thought it looked like her, but it wasn't her, and it was not a dark elf. They get scolded after exiting the sanctum.

- Rena: Thank you, Darkmoon. I feel much better now.
- Darkmoon: I'm glad you were able to recover so quickly. Is it because you're an elf?
- Rena: Haha. Not exactly. I think I was just exhausted.
- Anduran: We were worried when the portal closed before you were able to reach us. I'm so glad you're all safe!
- Rena: We were worried something bad might happen to the El. We were relieved to find that it's safe and sound. Huhu, maybe that's how I recovered so quickly?
- Anduran: Oh! I should let you rest. You're still sick!
- Rena: I'm all better now. I can run around outside to prove it, if you'd like?
- Anduran: Don't be silly! You should rest some more! You may be healed, but your body is still recovering.
- Darkmoon: Here, let me get you a cover. Make sure you rest today, ok?
- Rena: Alright. Thank you everyone.
- Darkmoon: Now then...
- Rena: .......
|

- Rena: (Hm... Strange. Why was I so exhausted earlier? I seem to be recovering just fine. It happened so suddently that I didn't notice, but it was definitely different from any other time. I thought it was because of the Demon Realm, but... Is there something I'm missing?)
- Ventus: Hey there, sleeping beauty, why the long face?
- Rena: Kyaaa?!
- Ventus: Careful now!
- Rena: By the El! Ventus?
- Ventus: Hahaha, looks like you're all recovered now! Your pillow throwing skill was top notch!
- Lincy: Soren! It's your fault she's all rattled! Rena, how are you feeling?
- Rena: Ahaha... Hello, Lincy. It's been a while. I'm perfectly fine! My injuries weren't that serious in the first place. Anyway, I'm glad you're here. I was wondering what was happening while I was getting treated. Can you tell me what everyone else is up to?
- Ventus: Everyone looks pretty busy. They each had a hold of an El Master trying to figure out something. I, for one, was with Rose trying to contact the Demon Realm.
- Rena: Contact... the Demon Realm? Did you succeed?
- Ventus: Mm... We did hear something that was almost like a riddle. They're probably still trying to make sense of it right now.
- Rena: A riddle...? I'm not sure I understand, but I hope it works out in the end. Maybe I could hae helped out if I recovered sooner.
- Lincy: ... Rena. Did something happen in the Demon Realm? Losing consciousness suddenly? Or hearing a strange voice?
- Rena: Not really. I was tired though. Why do you ask?
- Lincy: Um... Rena... Do you really have to go back to the Demon Realm?
- Rena: Lincy? What do you mean?
- Lincy: Elves are more easily affected by demonic energy. Your sudden exhaustion might be because of that. Soren said he felt something similar when he was in the Demon Realm, too. That he felt strange...
- Rena: Lincy, there are elves in the Demon Realm as well. As an elf from Elrios, I was taught that they were cursed. But when I actually met them, they looked fine. Even if they live in the Demon Realm, they're still elves. If demonic energy does affect elves, then I think I should be able to endure it just like they have.
- Lincy: That's different! The dark elves have transformed before they went to the Demon Realm. They weren't thrown in to the Demon Realm without El's blessing like you!
- Ventus: Lincy, I know you're worried, but maybe you shouldn't have just blurted out like that...
- Lincy: ... I know I can't just stop Rena from going to the Demon Realm. So just think of it as a request. From a friend...
- Rena: A request from a friend...
- Ventus: Rena, I know it's sudden, but please understand. Lincy was worried every since she knew you were headed to the Demon Realm. It's true that the demonic energy is hard to resist unless you have Master-level control of the El. It won't be long before you're corrupted.
- Rena: Corrupted...? What do you mean?
- Lincy: ... Just as it sounds like. Rena, why do you think dark elves exist?
- Rena: Huh? What do you mean?
- Lincy: Why aren't there any dark dwarves? Or dark Elriands? They can turn into demons, but why is there a specific term for elves that are demonized? That's because elves are more heavily influenced by demonic energy. That goes for you too. Elves would lose their minds even with the amount manageable by other races.
- Rena: Lincy...
- Lincy: Do you understand? That's what it means for an elf to go outside the influence of the El. There El that protected you here, is useless in the Demon Realm. The reason wy we tracked you down in the Demon Realm was to give you the spirit stone... But also because I was worried about your condition. Thankfully nothing happened this time... But you might not always be that lucky.
- Rena: ... I see. Thank you for your concern. But, I still need to go to the Demon Realm.
- Lincy: Rena...!
- Rena: I'll prove it to you. Though I may not be as powerful as an El Master, I've never had any difficulties facing against demons that invaded Elrios. Even the exhaustion I feel now, might have nothing to do with the demonic energy.
- Ventus: ....... Then how's this? If yo can face me for 1 hour with no problem, we won't stop you from going.
- Lincy: You too, Soren?!
- Rena: Lincy, I don't want to be corrupted by demonic energy. And I understand that the Demon Realm is dangerous enough to make you two worried. But I still have to go. So let me persuade you.
- Lincy: ....... Alright... For now.

- Rena: This is... an Elriabrunnr. Ventus, is there a reason why we've used such a roundabout way to get here?
- Ventus: Because we can't let the priestesses know we're here! If they saw you walking around instead of resting, they'll have my head!
- Rena: Oof... You're right. Darkmoon and Anduran both insisted I rest. Oh well, we're already here. Maybe we can sneak back before they notice?
- Ventus: That's the spirit! As long as we're not caught, it's like it never happened!
- Rena: I'm not sure if I can condone YOU saying that.
- Ventus:' Now Rena, are you ready?
- Rena: Huhu, yes, I'm ready!
- Ventus: Hm... But before we start, let me get this straight. If you win, I won't say anything about you going to the Demon Realm.
- Rena: Yes...?
- Ventus: Then, what will you do for me if I win, Rena?
- Rena: Hmm... I'm not sure. Is there anything you want?
- Ventus: Mm... There is one thing... But I'm not sure if I can ask.
- Lincy: Soren... You're not talking about...
- Rena: Huh? What are you talking about?
- Ventus: It's a secret! If you're so curious, maybe you should let me win?
- Rena: No can do! I'll give it my all!

- Rena: Maybe it's because there's so much El energy around here, but I feel refreshed! I can't possibly imagine why you would think I was influenced by demonic energy! At this rate, even finding the Dark El will be no problem!
- Ventus: My, you seem even more enthusiastic about saving the world than I am, and I'm the El Master.
- Rena: Why, of course! It's only for the good of Elrios! My first mission was to investigate why the connection t the Spirit Realm was weakened... I never thought that journey would take me this far. As I traveled, I met new friends, and realized what a small world I lived in. Sometimes, it feels like I was destined to be on this journey. If I stayed in Eldemyr... I don't think I could have even imagined myself, stopping an unknown organization from taking the El, or saving the world!
- Ventus: Haha. I also think your actions are admirabole. You're like a hero to the elves and the spirits!
- Rena: Ahaha... I won't say I'm a hero! But... Your words still make me happy.
- Lincy: Rena... You don't have to go to the Demon Realm to become a hero. You're already a hero for us, the elves and the spirits.
- Rena: Lincy...
- Lincy: I'm sorry, I keep trying to stop you, but I'm so worried. It seems to me that the destiny that led you here, is now leading you to your doom. I'm sure you already know... But the spirits of the Demon Realm will be hostile to those from Elrios.
- Rena: Yes, I know.
- Lincy: ... Aren't you scared?
- Rena: I want to say I'm not... But then, I'd be lying.
- Lincy: Why do you have to go if you're so afraid?
- Rena: Hm... How should I explain? It's a long story...... Do you have a memory that... you know is no longer an actual memory, because too much time has passed, but... you still keep reminding yourself to never forget?
- Ventus: Of course. Mostly something I regret.
- Rena: It's the same for me too. I... lost a friend because of something I've done.
- Lincy: .......
- Rena: I don't anymore... But I used to have nightmares. In my dream, Lua was always being chased by a monster. And I was always just watching Lua and the spirits that are losing power, unable to do anything. The nightmare terrified me so much... that I used to wish my memories of Lua would just disappear.
- Lincy: (Rena... Was that why you didn't want to borrow the power of the spirits back then?)
- Rena: But... I started to hate myself more, for not being able to do anything when Lua was in danger.
- Lincy: Were you able to overcome your nightmare?
- Rena: Um... No. The nightmare always changed. No matter what I tried, I would always fail to save her. Sometimes, Lua won't even get a chance to scream. The next, she would curse me till her dying breath. The next, she would call out to me... But it would all end the same way. I don't even remember how she actually died. I do know she was my friend, that she's no longer here, and that I've spent a long time all by myself.
- Ventus: ... Survivor's guilt?
- Rena: Lua wanted to leave the forest one day and travel the world. She wanted to meet new people and become friends with those who are different form us. But... She can never fulfill those dreams... unlike me... So, I always thought I had to stay enclosed from the world and live the rest of my life mourning her death. I thought that might be less painful for me as well.
- Ventus: ... We're not used to sudden goodbyes unlike other races without long lives.
- Lincy: The more we spend time together, the more we expect to spend time together, the more hurt we are by the sudden farewell.
- Rena: ... As I mourned for her... I had a sudden revelation. If I'm not going to do anything, why am I alive instead of Lua? Memories are not forever, and even elves must die in the end. Then... what can I do to make my life more meaningful? ... And this is the answer I found. It was Lua's dream to go on an adventure. Now, it's my dream too. To leave the forest and travel the world... To meet new people and become friends with those who are different from us. When I meet her again, years from now, I want to have many adventures so I can share my memories with her. So... I was really happy you called me a hero. Because that was one of her dreams as well!
- Lincy:' Rena...
- Rena: Meeting the El Search Party, and meeting you two... None of this would have happened if I didn't make the decision to leave the forest. That's what I mean by destiny. Even though she left me side... Like the wind that's always with me, I can always feel her, even when I don't see her. Sorry. Was that too much? But that's how I feel. My friends... my goal... and everything that Lua ever wanted... And for me, I must go to the Demon Realm.
- Lincy: .......
- Rena: ... Thank you Lincy, Ventus. The reason why you brought me here, is actually to help me recover, right? I can feel my energy coming back. Maybe because of the Elriabrunnr...
- Ventus: Haha, I didn't think you'd notice. We were going to keep it a secret.... But! That doesn't mean that the bet is off! You don't know what will happen in the Demon Realm, so I won't make this easy.
- Rena: And I don't expect anything else!
- Ventus: Ready, Lincy?
- Lincy: Sure thing, brat! Rena, you're really precious to me. You have to win, ok? So I can send you with my heart at peace.
- Rena: Ok. I don't want you to worry, so I'll do my best!

- Lincy: Thank you Rena.
- Rena: Huh? For what?
- Lincy: For persuading me. I know I was being rude...
- Rena: It was necessary for me too. If something you feared actually happened... It would have worried my friend as well. But I'm not going to go down that easy! And I was thinking after what you said earlier... But I think I was already affected by demonic energy, once.
- Lincy: What? Before you went to the Demon Realm?
- Rena: Yup. I had similar experience in Feita. I lost consciousness while saying weird things. I definitely remember. Someone was whispering, so I listened in... But then, I lost consciousness and couldn't remember anything. So I just ignored anything that sounded similar after that. I no longer hear it anymore, so I forgot all about it... But is this what you were talking about, Lincy?
- Lincy: Yes...! You purposefully ignored it? It should be really difficult to do so...
- Ventus: But you fought with demons from Feita, right? Maybe you learned how to resist demonic energy along the way.
- Rena: Then, do you think I'll be ok in the Demon Realm as well?
- Ventus: If you stay strong, you should be ok. But better safe than sorry. You should stay with your friends at all times. Since they use the power of El, you should be safe with them.
- Rena: I see...! Alright! I'll be careful.
- Ventus: Hm- Hey Rena, do you still have the spirit stone I gave you?
- Rena: Oh, yes! I'll give it back right now! Thank you, it was a lot of help. And one more thing... If you won, what were you going to ask?
- Ventus: Oh, that? Hm... Lincy, is it ok to tell Rena?
- Lincy:' ... Yes.
- Ventus: Yes see, when we went to give you the spirit stone, Lincy saw an elf.
- Rena: An elf in the Demon Realm...? You sure it wasn't a dark elf?
- Ventus: Yes, an elf of Elrios. Lincy will share you the details.
- Lincy: I'm not sure if I actually saw an elf. We went past too quickly for me to take a closer look. Soren was moving really fast to meet with the El Search Party. But even the brief moment I saw, I could tell the elf was sick. I was really worried because I thought it was you at first, Rena.
- Ventus: After that, Lincy kept nagging non-stop that we have to find you, fast.
- Rena: Lincy... Was that the reason why you didn't want me to go?
- Lincy: Yes. I was so worried. And then, the Henir passage closed before you were able to make it back...
- Rena: I see... But how strange... If Lincy's right... Then that must mean there were three elves in the Demon Realm at that time! But why would an elf...
- Ventus: If bothers me as well. If an elf was there, they would go insane unless they're actually strong enough.
- Rena: So you want me to help you find the elf?
- Ventus: Yes. We're not sure if that was actually an elf, but just in case, we can't just leave them be.
- Rena: Now I'm worried too. Alright. If I find any information, or find the elf, I'll let you know.... Wait a second, why am I listening to your request when I won?
- Ventus: Haha. But you would have gone to the Demon Realm even if I won, so let's call this a tie.
- Rena: I feel like I've been duped.

- Gloria: Oh! Everyone! I found Rena!
- Anduran: Rena! Where were you?!
- Rena: Oh! I forgot that we sneaked out...!
- Ventus: My bad, and we walked right through the main entrance.
- Anduran: We looked everywhere for you! Do you know how worried we were? The priestesses looked every corner in Elrianode for you!
- Rena: Ahaha... Sorry. I went to spar with Ventus. Nothing happened, so don't worry. We just forgot to tell you...
- Anduran: What? Sparring a patient? Master Ventus! How could you?!
- Ventus: Yikes... Anduran... Well, that is...
- Anduran: Master Ventus! How could you take a patient to spar with you! You always fool around, and now this! Shouldn't you set an example as an El Master?
- Ventus: Uhh... Anduran... You sound exactly like your predecessor... Do all Wind Priestesses nag so expertly?
- Anduran: Stop changing the subject!
- Rena: Haha... I'm sorry we made you worried, but Ventus was only trying to help. So...
- Anduran: Don't think you're off the hook! We were all worried something bad happened to you! You should have been resting like we told you to!
- Rena: Sorry...

Chapter 41-1: ???
Rose decides to spar with Ventus, in hopes that she can find out what is the transmission. Despite some power, it didn't activate, while Zero starts to worry about Empyrean. By sparring with Ventus at full power, Rose manages to get it working, and it takes her a lot of replaying to decipher the message, which the codename, "Aurora", tells them that the soul is safe, Rigomor is safe and they shouldn't say anything due to potential retracing.
Chapter 41-1: Trial of the Water Dragon
Aisha and Chung meet the Denif in the compass, but the Denif they meet is really different, and they deduces it's the past version. Aisha tries to reaffirm her resolve, but she is shocked to learn that there was a traitor in the Landar family. Chung learns that his guardian stone, and his never-wavering resolve, is what allowed him to proceed farther, despite the Demon Realm's influence.

- Chung: So this is the inside of the compass...!
- Aisha: Amazing... It's like another dimension! Everything is so realistic! Is this the power of the Sage?
- Chung: I've never been here before, but everything feels strangely familiar... I wonder why?
- Aisha: Maybe it reminds you of Hamel, because there's so much water.
- Denif: Who's there.
- Aisha: Master Denif?
- Chung: Master Denif, are you coming with us?
- Denif: Identify yourself. Who are you, and what purpose do you have coming here?
- Chung: ... I don't think this is the Master Denif we know. He's acting like this is the first time he's seen us.
- Aisha: This could be the 'thing inside' Master Denif was talking about... It's probably a seal of some type.
- Chung: That's unexpected... I thought there would be something much more terrifying.
- Aisha: Me too... Maybe it will be easier than we thought. Let's talk to him to learn more about the seal. Hello, Master Denif! My name is Aisha Landar. I'm here to ask for your assistance.
- Denif: ... A Landar?
- Aisha: Yes! I'm...
- Denif: What is a Landar doing here without proper procedure? Go back. I have no time for your schemes.
- Aisha: I, uh, what? Schemes?
- Chung: As expected. He's not going to let us in easily.
- Aisha: Yeah... (How strange... Master Denif definitely reacted positively to the Landar name before... What does he mean by 'scheme'?)
- Chung: Hello, Master Denif. I am Chung, from Senace.
- Denif: Senace... You still haven't given up to borrow the power of El?
- Chung: What? What do you...?
- Denif: There has been many before you who wished to use the power of El. I cannot help but suspect your true intentions. As an El Master who sworn to protect the El, I cannot condone anyone using the El for their personal interest. Do not bother me again about the 'Guardian Stone'... As I would never allow it.
- Chung: ! The Guardian Stone? Using the El for personal interest...?
- Denif: ......
- Chung: What is Master Denif talking about?
- Aisha: I think... He's talking about the past, long ago. That has to be him before the El explosion. The seal is taking the form of the sealer with his memories.
- Chung: He mentioned the Guardian Stone. The stone that's been passed down in the Seiker family for generations... But the fact that it's made with the Water El is not very well know... Did they try to create the Guardian Stone before the split?
- Aisha: Ugh...! I want to ask about the Landar family as well! But seeing how stubborn he looks, I don't think he'll answer my questions. Master Denif, we need your help to find the Dark El. We can't just back down!
- Denif: I see. Then show me your resolve. If you fail my trials, you will go back empty-handed.
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Aisha: So we'll be facing Master Denif...! We didn't see him fight because he was guarding the El even when Hennon attacked Elrianode. Though this is only an illusion created by the seal, when will we ever get a chance to see an El Master in action? I will make sure to learn everything I can!
- Denif: Daughter of Landar, you told me you wish to go to the Demon Realm. Why do you wish to journey to the Demon Realm?
- Aisha: (He's talking to me...? Why would he create a seal that can talk? Unless it has spells to befuddle those who wish to unseal it! Let's proceed with care. I will not let it interfere with my mind!) I must find something in the Demon Realm.
- Denif: I understand there was an unfortunate circumstance that befell your family. Do you believe the Demon Realm holds the answer you seek?
- Aisha: (Ooops... I almost answered him...! What is he talking about? Grandpa never told me any of these stuff!)
- Denif: ... I sense pride clouding your judgement... Child of Senace, why do you wish to journey to the Demon Realm?
- Chung: I have a responsibility, to protect my friends and save my father!
- Denif: Which responsibility is more important to you?
- Chung: ...! ... To protect my friends...
- Denif: You lie. I sense a lack of resolve.
- Chung: Grr...?!
- Aisha: Chung! Don't respond to him! He's just goading us to protect the seal!
- Chung: I lack resolve? You are mistaken! I mean what I say!
- Denif: You failed to protect your friend. Even now, you are drowning in a sea of guilt.
- Chung: ... I will gladly receive any criticism pointing out my failures! But... But I understand I have a duty and am responsible for my actions!
- Denif: You are conflicted. In fact, you have been conflicted for a long time. You say you stand by your friends, but once you realized you were close to your goal, you wanted to focus on finding Helputt.
- Chung: I! I...
- Denif: Even when Elrianode was not fully restored, and all your friends were disheartened, I know you secretly found relief to hear the news of Helputt. But the lead you had was obscured. And you had to retreat dishonorably with your friends heavily injured. You resent yourself for your failure. Yet, you have not let your desire to find Helputt go. Am I wrong?
- Aisha: (This is not good... Don't answer him, Chung...!
- Chung: ... You're right.
- Aisha: !! Chung...
- Chung: When we were trapped in the Demon Realm... I was happy to have another opportunity to find my father. I knew everyone was exhausted... But I just couldn't help but hope. I was anxious, between my hopes to find my father... and my fear that it was already too late. Even now... I wish to go to the Demon Realm to find my father, by myself if I have to!
- Denif: And is that wrong?
- Chung: It is... I mustn't... Even though I have began my journey to find my father... I cannot prioritize my selfish desire when the whole world is at stake. I am the heir of the Seiker family, guardian of the people... I am honor-bound to guard this world as it is expected of me by the people of Senace and for the people of Elrios.
- Denif: Is it not natural for a child to wish to find his parent?
- Chung: That is just my personal desire. I should not throw away my duty or hold anyone back because of it...!
- Aisha: No, you shouldn't think that way!
- Chung: ... Aisha?
- Aisha: Why are you saying it like that? You just want to find your family, how can that be a bad thing?! We all understand! We know the effort you put in to save Sir Helputt! None of us think you are holding us back! We know how you feel, Chung. Even if you want to leave us to look for your father, we'd all understand...
- Denif: The water is sensitive to its surroundings. I see great turmoil rippling within you. You suffer from the altruistic wish to save others. But that desire will not help you if you cannot help yourself. If you are going to live as a prisoner of your own making, you are not worthy.
- Chung: .......
- Aisha: (Why would he say such a thing... Oh, could it be?)

- Aisha: Pride will cloud your judgement... Be mentally prepared... Now I understand. This is not a regular seal attacking intruders. You're really just testing whether or not we're worthy. Huhu, it was my mistake to think this would be just like releasing any other seal.
- Denif: Then I shall ask again. Daughter of Landar, why do you wish to journey to the Demon Realm?
- Aisha: I am Aisha, of Landar. I need to go to the Demon Realm to retrieve the Ring of Mimir and find the Dark El to stop any harm coming to Elrios.
- Denif: So your personal journey had led you to a greater cause. But no one holds you responsible. There are many others who can step up to protect this realm. Should you not focus on finding the ring?
- Aisha: The Ring of Mimir IS very important to me. I actually wanted to find the ring and teach the guy who stole it a lesson he won't forget. I didn't manage to find the ring yet, but I did beat the guy who stole it, so I guess I managed to complete half of my goal. The one who stole the ring to abuse it and the one who wants to use the Dark El to endanger this world are both Henir's Order. So, if you ask me which one is more important, I'd have to answer, 'to find the Dark El and stop Henir's Order'!
- Denif: I see. I understand your resolve. When a vile magician comes from a family with a long history of brilliant magicians, the whole family can be disgraced. However, I see that you are trying to fix the wrong committed by your family. Just liek the river, constantly flowing to wash away the waste, only to return to its radiant state once more. Everything will eventually return to its original state. Daughter of Landar, may you bring back honor to your disgraced family and accomplish all that you wish to accomplish.
- Aisha: Th, thank you! (Did I pass...?)
- Denif: Child of Senace, do yo have your answer?
- Chung: ... I... don't know...
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Chung: I kept thinking after what you said. What can I actually give up? But... I cannot give up anything!
- Denif: Your indecision is what causes you suffering.
- Chung: ... I've always tried my best to honor my father. It is why I thought I had to do more for others than for myself. I always believed that was my duty, and my responsibility for the power I hold. I still believe it. Maybe you're right, and I trapped myself in a prison of my own making. I might feel lighter if I let go. I an follow my desire to focus solely on finding my father, or follow my duty to focus solely on protecting my friends. But... I do not want to just choose one. I am here right now because of my father, and because of my friends.
- Denif: So you wish to continue on as is? You burden will weigh you down. It may break you down and crush you. You may regret your decision.
- Chung: Then I will carry even that regret upon my shoulders. The journey to protect the world, to save my father... Even when all this desire ends up suffocating me, I will carry it. I'm sorry Aisha. Maybe I'm just not worthy.
- Aisha: What are you talking about! That was wonderfully spoken! There must be other ways to find the Dark El. You'll help me find it, right?
- Chung: Yes! I will do my best! Master Denif, that is my answer. I refuse to choose an answer.
- Denif: No, but you did.
- CRASH--!!
- Chung: Ugh! What's going on?
- Aisha: The dimension is falling apart! Did we manage to release the seal?
- Denif: Son of Seiker, you will find yourself on a thorny path. Your firm determination will cause you to stuble and fall. However... If you are willing to carry the weight, your prison will become the armor that will guard you. I see why the power of El still remains with you, even after the restoration of the Large El.
- Chung: What? The power of El...?
- Denif: I now understand your resolve. Go. Your trial is complete.

Aisha and Chung successfully release the seal. After the trial, Denif answers any questions they had.
|
Quest Acceptance Dialogue
|
- Aisha: Are we back?
- Chung: What... happened in the end? What happened to the seal?
- Denif: The device is unsealed. Good work.
- Aisha: M, Master Denif?
- Denif: Why are you so surprised?
- Aisha: Oh, i, it's nothing... I mean! I do have a question...
- Denif: What do you wish to ask?
- Aisha: We met you in the compass. Was that really you?
- Denif: That being would have had my form and my memory. But I would not say, that being was I are are one and the same. The seal, of course, was formed with the Water El. It holds El's will.
- Chung: So the familiar feeling that I felt... must have been the Water El.
- Denif: I suspect it also knew information I have no access to, as it would have reacted to your memories.
- Chung: ... The Master Denif inside the compass told me, that I still have the power of El, even after the restoration of the Large El. What does that mean?
- Denif: I see, so it told you.... When the Large El was restored, all the El were absorbed into the Large El. Even the Moon El taken by the demon named Ran.
- Chung: What? THen do the magic stones that hold the power of El no longer serve their function? I mean... It's good that the Moon El is no longer in the hands of the demons...!
- Denif: Do not worry. The El naturally spreads its blessing and retrieves it to cycle the energy. While it may have temporarily lost its power with the restoration, it should be stable now.
- Chung: Phew, that's a relief. Is that why the Guardian Stone still holds the power of El?
- Denif: That would have been the reason, if you stayed in Elrios.
- Chung: Ah...!
- Denif: While you were in the Demon Realm, did the Guardian Stone ever fail to respond to your call?
- Chung: No... Everything worked as usual. Was my Guardian Stone the exception?
- Denif: No, that is due to the property of the Water El. Water observes the property of its surroundings, transforming into something completely different. It can become a prison or an elixir, all depending on what it holds. The reason why the Guardian Stone still worked even outside of Elrios, was because the Water El accepted your will and transformed.
- Chung: I see. So that's why I was able to use the power of the Guardian Stone even in the Demon Realm. I never thought of myself to have strong will power... Then... Master Denif... If I meet my father in the Demon Realm... And my father is still transformed, using the power of the Guardian Stone...
- Aisha: Then Sir Helputt might still have some of his human soul intact!
- Denif: Yes, as his Guardian Stone would have been absorbed back into the Dark El, if he lost his will completely.
- Chung: Father...
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Aisha: Anyway, I was wondering... Why did you put such a complicated seal, Master Denif? I do admit, it's a special device, and can be considered a historical relic in and of itself, but...
- Denif: Hm? Did I not tell you? This compass was from my mother.
- Aisha: Your...! Is it ok for us to take such a precious memento?
- Denif: I do not mind. It is better for it to serve a purpose. My mother would have been happy to help your journey.
- Chung: Oh... Thank you... Thank you so much, Master Denif! And... Um... The Master Denif inside the compass told me you were against the El being used for personal reasons. That's when you realized that our family must have used the Water El that fell in Senace to create Guardian Stones after the El explosion. It doesn't change anything... and my apology may not be enough... But I still wish to apologize for my family's wrong doing!
- Denif: I cannot accept that apology.
- Chung: ......
- Denif: Because the Seiker family did no wrong. Who do you think gave them the duty to protect the Water El?
- Chung: Huh? Do you mean...
- Denif: I trusted the Seiker family would do their best to protect the Water El... and when I saw you for the first time, I knew I placed my trust well. In any case, the Water El would not have responded to anyone who had ill intention You should not feel guilty, as you are the rightful owner of the Guardian Stone.
- Chung: Oh... I see. I understand.
- Aisha: (... There's still so many unanswered questions... A vile magician? The disgrace of Landar? I never heard anything like that. And... If that magician is somehow involved with Henir's Order... I followed my Grandpa to find old relics because I was interested... But he always did tell me that it was the duty of a Landar. Is that duty to atone for the sin committed by our ancestor? How much do you know about the Landar family, Master Denif... I wish I could ask Grandpa about all of this...)
- Chung: Thank goodness, Aisha. This should really help us find the Dark El in the Demon Realm!
- Aisha: Huh? Oh, yes! It wouldn't have happened if it weren't for you. I think you should have it, Chung.
- Chung: Me? But...
- Aisha: I think your answer was the ultimate reason why we were able to pass the trial. Since the Guardian Stone also uses the power of the Water El, it might be compatible.
- Chung: ... Would that be ok?
- Aisha: Huh? Why? What's the matter?
- Chung: Um, well... Although we passed the trial, I can't help but think I was just being stubborn. Is it really fine like this, when nothing has been resolved?
- Aisha: What are you talking about, Chung? You DECIDED you won't give up on anything and carry the full weight!
- Chung: But... When the time comes, and I do have to make a choice... My selfishness could trouble everyone...
- Aisha: Just because we're saving the world, doesn't mean we have to give up on our personal goals! I'm still looking for the Ring of Mimir myself, you know! Besides, it's to save someone precious to you! And you saved Elsword without hesitation, even knowing that the El would become unstable. Very decisive, if you ask me.
- Chung: ... Oh!
- Aisha: See? When push comes to shove, I know you will not hesitate. You'll find a way for us to stay together, without anyone hurting.
- Chung: ... Thank you, Aisha. I won't forget what you told me.
- Aisha: I'm glad you're back to your confident self! We'll be in your care, ok? (I'll ask Master Denif next time. I'm sure an opportunity would arise at some point.)

Chapter 42: Reunion
Elsword, Raven, Eve and Add arrive at Elysion, where they are greeted by Solace and Hernia, but Elsword isn't excited about meeting the El Lady. Solace tells Elsword that Henir's Order is not the only enemy after the El, but questions where he came from, why did he arrive only now, why did he try to fix the El just now.
After doing their goals, Elsword is surprised to see Ain appearing after regaining consciousness, and reveals that since the portal was unstable, it must've taken his El energy. Add and Elsword haven't apologized yet, although Eve questions why Adrian provided Add with the device.

- Solace: You've come.
- Elsword: Solace? How did you...
- Hernia: We've anticipated your arrival. And... I'm pleased to meet your acquaintance, Elsword.
- Elsword: You are... the El Lady?
- Hernia: ...You're just as Fenriart described. Yes. I am the El Lady, Hernia.
- Eve: I didn't expect you to be here... Did you know we were coming?
- Hernia: Yes. Perhaps it is I, who should have gone down to Elrianode... But he'd recover faster here, in Elysion.
- Solace: I've emptied the capsule. Come.
- Add: Capsule? You mean the device within the fortress?
- Hernia: Yes. We will use the capsule to give Ain El energy to wake him up. The reason why he's still unconscious is because he used a great amount of his energy in a short period.
- Raven: You're saying he's in a state of shock of some sort. But why him? Everyone else seemed fine...
- Hernia: ...Right now, he needs pure El energy without any elemental attributes. So I will use my powers to stabilize him. It will require great concentration, so please do not disturb us.
- Eve: We understand.
- Elsword: ...... (The El Lady of the legends stands right before me, but... I'm not that excited. Maybe I've already accepted her presence for granted before ever realizing it. Or... Maybe even before I started chasing the El, I...)
- Raven: Elsword?
- Elsword: It's nothing. Then...
- Eve: We will leave Ain in your care, El Lady.
- Hernia: Yes, of course.

- Eve: Now, I'll go see Adrian.
- Elsword: Do you want company?
- Eve: No need. You wish to see the Sun Master, do you not?
- Elsword: Wha... How did you know?
- Raven: It's hard not to, when you side glance him like that.
- Eve: I believe it is important for each of us to do our part while Ain is recovering. Let us all take care of our own business and gather here.
- Add: ......
- Eve: What are you doing, Add?
- Add: What?
- Eve: You wish to speak with Adrian as well, do you not? We should hurry.
- Add: I...
- Raven: ......
- Eve: Raven, will you follow Elsword?
- Raven: I was planning to from the start. Leave him to me.
- Elsword: Hey! What are you guys talking about?
- Eve: Only that he should keep an eye on you.
- Elsword: Ugh, Eve!
- Eve: I'm not telling you to stop whatever you are feeling right now, but please, return to your normal self soon. I understand why you're reacting this way. The guilt of failing to protect Winster and Nichel, self-loathing from leaving them behind, shame from losing to someone we've won against before...
- Eve: But Elsword, I know that you also understand, deep down, why Add made the decision he did.
- Elsword: ......
- Raven: Add, you said you had another reason to come to Elysion.
- Add: ... What, if you're telling me to stop now...
- Raven: Go do your thing.
- Add: ......
- Eve: Let's go, Add.
- Add: ... Alright.

As Elsword finally decides to move forward despite his uncertainty, Solace asks him a question.
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Solace: After the Great Explosion, there were barely any Elrians that had enough power to become a Master. I believed that was a natural consequence of the El being split into multiple pieces.
- Elsword: You already said that.
- Solace: ... But then I found you. You're a Rubenian like me. You were born where the El energy was concentrated, therefore holding great power. You were comparable to the Elrians who were born before the Great Explosion.
- Elsword: Wait... So I do have what it takes to become a Master?
- Solace: That is why I was watching you on your journey. You are more closely related to the El than you think. Other than the El Lady, there hasn't been a single being who resonated with the El to the point they could restore the El. That's not something a Master nor a Priestess can do.
- Elsword: Wait, if that's the case... What am I? How did I do it?
- Solace: Hm...... Did you know? Before the El Explosion, Henir's Order were not the only enemies that the Masters had to face.
- Elsword: There were even more people who wanted to steal the El?
- Solace: In a sense, yes. The El had unlimited power and potential, so people all over the world gathered to use the El for their own gain. Some wanted to use the El for a noble cause, but others wished to exploit the power. Leaders from different countries would demand to use the El and justify their cause... There were even bandits who snuck in, to steal even a small fragment of the El. One of the duties of an El Master was to stop those from using the El for personal gains.
- Elsword: I guess people are the same everywhere you go.
- Solace: Yes, but you didn't show the same desire.
- Elsword: Of course not! I had no reason to!
- Solace: Is that so? Uh... Yeah! I mean... I had a duty as an El Search Party member to find and protect the El! I'm sure that is not the only reason. Many see their potential within the El. Some wish to gain wealth and authority, while others seek to spend their life faithfully dedicated to the El. It's not necessarily wrong to think that way. Since it is a power without a price that's well within reach. It's only natural to react in some way, when you are well within the influence of the El. But you were different. You accepted the El as is, and placed the safety of the El as your priority, to the point that you readily sacrificed your life.
- Elsword: But I'm not the only one like that. The El Lady... and the El Masters and Priestesses are doing their best to stabilize the El.
- Solace: But they do not have the power to restore the El. It is I who wants to ask you. What are you? Why do you wish to restore the El so fiercely?
- Elsword: Huh...?
- Solace: Why didn't you appear all this time since the El Explosion, only to appear now? Your pure dedication to the El... Your unwavering determination... Where does it all come from?
- Elsword: I don't get it. So what am I supposed to be?
- Solace: ... I do not know. I've been contemplating since I have found you, but I have yet to come to a conclusion. Everything I've told you now, are mere speculations. I'll leave finding the answer to you.
- Elsword: ......

- Ain: What are you talking about?
- Elsword: Ain! Are you ok?
- Ain: Thanks to Ms. Hernia. I'm sorry if I worried you.
- Elsword: As long as you're fine, we're good!
- Raven: Why did you lose consciousness? I don't think there was any reason for you to lose consciousness during battle...
- Ain: I believe it's because Mr. Dog and Mr. Ancient opened the portal when it was still unstable. The portal used my El energy to make up for the energy it lacks.
- Elsword: Is that something all priests can do?
- Ain: Although I lost consciousness, thank goodness it helped, right?
- Raven: Don't be stupid. I'd rather not have anyone hurt.
- Ain: Haha, alright, alright. Oh look! There's Ms. Queen and Mr. Ancient!
- Add: Oh, look who's here. Back to the land of the living?
- Ain: Thank you for your concern, Mr. Ancient. I thought you'd be feeling all sorry for yourself for your solo act, but no- you look fine!
- Add: Gr... Who are you trying to...!
- Eve: Ain, I'm glad you are well.
- Ain: You too, Ms. Queen. You look like something's finally off your chest.
- Eve: Yes, I finally heard an answer to something I've been thinking about. I feel relieved.
- Elsword: .......
- Add: .......
- Ain: Hm? What happened to you two?
- Eve: Sigh....
- Raven: Time will eventually solve everything. Let's head back to Elrianode. I'm sure everyone's waiting for us.
- Eve: Add, why did Adrian say he'd provide you with a teleportation device?
- Add: ...!
- Add: Ah... It's nothing. Forget about it.

Chapter 42-1: ???
Eve decides to check up with Adrian, and for maintenance too, in order to catch up with the current life. However, despite them being the Nasod King and Nasod Queen respectively, Eve decides to go on her personal way as the Nasod Queen, despite Adrian expecting that from a self-learning AI.
Chapter 42-1: For Now in the Present
Add decides to ask Adrian about the teleportation device, because he wanted to find something to return to past, but he instead questions himself why he decided to stay with the party far longer than he thought, when he could've just asked him in the beginning for help on returning to past. After sparring, Add decides to call off the deal, and decides to stay with the El Search Party for a little more.
Chapter 42-1: True Strength
Elsword wants to get more power, so he seeks help from Solace, but doesn't get an answer, and learns that the Master's power is not something that can be passed down. Solace questions Raven's resolve that he calls, "self-atonement", and Raven says his body was made from the Nasod, although it is indeed taking away his lifeforce. Elsword can't stay still, and he knows what they're saying, but he is a bit worried about what is going on in the Demon Realm, but comes to term with his current strength, saying it's his friends that made it so far. After Solace finished discussing with Raven, Elsword reveals his feelings to him, and then spars with him. Solace reveals to him that he has talent comparable to the Elrians before the Explosion, and wonders why did he appear just now.

Quest Acceptance Dialogue
|
- Solace: You wished to speak to me?
- Elsword: Solace, you need to be powerful in order to become a Master, right?
- Solace: Of course. El masters, at the core, a group that focuses on power in order to protect the El and the El lady from various threats such as the Order. Why do you ask? Do you wish to become an El Master?
- Elsword: I can't say I don't… But I can't exactly say that I do.
- Raven: Elsword, you...
- Elsword: I blamed Add for everything… But I did understand… That it was my stubbornness that could have led everyone into danger. That's why I'm here. I need power. Strong enough to keep me on my path.
- Solace: You are not interested in the position of an El Master, yet you are interested in the power they hold?
- Elsword: I finally realized what you meant back then, as we fought against Rosso in Varnimyr. Rosso… was extremely powerful even when he was unconscious. I would not have been able to handle him on my own.
- Solace: The Fire El is the most destructive attribute... and I am no longer as powerful as I used to be. You could have asked the Fire Master if you wanted power… Why did you come to me?
- Elsword: ... Because I thought you would have an answer.
- Solace: What answer do you seek from me?
- Elsword: You were able to protect what is important to you...
- Solace: Absurd. Have you already forgotten what has transpired in it's place?
- Elsword: I've seen your memory. I saw how angry you were… How much you were in pain... But you still wished to create a world where the El Lady could live, instead of cursing the world that sacrificed her.
- Solace: .......
- Elsword: In the Demon Realm, I met an enemy I met in the past, and lost before I could even lift my sword. If I were just a bit stronger, then I wouldn't have had to turn my back away from an enemy I knew would become a great threat to us. In order to protect my friends… and the El, I need to become stronger.
- Solace: If you seek the power of a Master, you're in the wrong place. A Master's power is not something that can be passed down. Only the most powerful Elrians of their generation earn the right to become an El Master. And even then, there are many other qualifications one must have before they are elected. Once they are elected, they would receive an elemental attribute from the high priest. The 'power of a Master' you wish to obtain, is just an addition of an elemental attribute. My power is very much my own.
- Solace: So I cannot grant you what you seek.
- Elsword: No...
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Raven: Incredible. I did not expect that outstanding power of the El Masters is in fact purely their own. But surely, that kind of power cannot be so common place? Were there more who held that kind of power in the past?
- Solace: There were more before the Great Explosion, After that, there were barely any Elrians that had enough power to become an El Master.
- Raven: Ah, because of the weakening of the El?
- Solace: That is what I suspect........ I know why you continue to follow them on their journey. You are still shackled by the meaningless act of self-flagellation 'you call, atonement.'
- Raven: What are you getting at? I did not make my decision only to be criticized by the likes of you.
- Solace: Is that so? But even you must know that your body cannot hold on much longer.
- CLANG!
- Solace: .......
- Elsword: Raven?
- Raven: ... Watch your tongue.
- Solace: Did you think you could hide it forever?
- Raven: I would managed to hide it much longer if you don't blab.
- Solace: Careless.
- CLANG!
- Raven: Kugh...!
- Solace: If you must play the moth charging towards the flame, I will personally lend you my aid in incinerating you. Raise your sword. Both of you. No need to waste my time when I can handle the both of you at the same time.
- Elsword: What?
- Solace: I cannot give you the answer you desire. If you wish to find something, find it yourself.
- Elsword: Tsk, Raven!
- Raven: Understood!

Chapter 42-1: ???
After sparring with Solace, Raven asks about his body, and Solace reveals it's to protect Hernia and the El at that time, and tells him he could've avenged his comrade, but instead chose the atonement path, but Raven tells him he's not too different, since he did choose to help Hernia instead of revenge. Solace chooses to not tell anyone about his condition, but urges him to choose a path he won't regret.
Chapter 42-1: Beyond Uncertainty
Ain partially awakes, but not completely as he relieves Hernia's memory, and so it's with himself. Ain meets the other incarnations, and he insists about restoring the El's power, but the incarnations causes him to be uncertain about if he can change. Hernia tells him an unusual advice, telling him that she ate a lot, to fill the emptiness she felt as she was fusing herself, and in the end chose to do something she could do. Ain decides to talk with the Goddess Ishmael, and affirms his resolve, causing him to wake up. He admits he's still afraid of change, but he will be fine if he thinks of the change as influence.

- Envoy of High Priest: El Lady, it is time to head to the chapel.
- El Lady: .......
- Envoy of High Priest: El Lady?
- El Lady: ...! Oh... I'm sorry... It's been difficult for me to focus lately...
- Envoy of High Priest: It's fine. The fact that your individuality is fading means you are becoming closer to the El.
- El Lady: (Closer... to the El... It's expected that my memories and my identity fade away...)
- Envoy of High Priest: I will escort you to the chapel.
- El Lady: ... Alright.
- ???: Remem... You...
- El Lady: Ah...!
- Envoy of High Priest: Are you alright?
- El Lady: ... It's nothing. Just a headache...
- Envoy of High Priest: If you are unwell, you should inform us. We can't have the El Lady fall sick.
- El Lady: Yes, I understand. I am the Agent of the Goddess. I must complete my duty for the continued prosperity of Elrios... (... It's odd. I feel as if I'm forgetting something very important.) Pardon, but what happened to those who were by my side?
- Envoy of High Priest: Do you mean the Priestesses? They are already at the chapel.
- El Lady: (Priestesses...? Are they who I hold so dear in my heart?)
- Envoy of High Priest: We must hurry. It's almost time to start the service. You must fulfill your duty as an El Lady.
- El Lady: (My duty as an El Lady... A noble cause to look over the El that has become unstable... But a life that slowly fades away as the El absorbs me... It's to be expected. The moment I was chosen as the El Lady, my life was no longer my own.) ... Even so, I have chosen.
- Envoy of High Priest: El Lady? What are you...
- El Lady: After long consideration, I have decided to walk with them. Because I have not completed my duty... and because I felt they were still needed in this world. And because I, myself, wished to walk with them.
- ???: .......
- El Lady: You and I are very similar. We both are bound by our mission, and that mission requires our sacrifice... But the explosion of the El was not within our control. We became who we are through circumstances that should never have occurred. If so... What are we... who've strayed from our destined path, and now walk the path paved by happenstance?
- Hernia: ...Ain.
- Ain: I need some explanation, El Lady... No, Ms. Hernia. Why am I here?
|

- Hernia: When you arrived in Elysion, most of the El energy that sustain your body was gone.
- Ain: (I did feel my power rushing out when the portal was activated. The portal must have used the El energy I have, to make up for the power when the gem didn't provide enough.)
- Hernia: The El energy you have is not of any specific element. It's pure energy directly from the Goddess. It seems some of my memories were mixed in when I was transferring my El energy to you.
- Ain: Were you the one telling me not to forget myself? Now, how do we get out of this place?
- Hernia: Now that you're conscious, you should be able to wake up... but there must be something within you, preventing you from waking.
- Ain: From within?
- Hernia: The El reflects your will. Which is why I believe it is your own reluctance that's preventing you from leaving this place.
- Ain: Nonsense! I need to get up immediately! I must check if the others are...
- CLING-!!

- Hernia: What is going on...
- Messenger of God: Ainchase Ishmael.
- Ain: ......!!
- Messenger of God: The one to forsake his mission... A traitor to destiny. A being different from 'us'.
- Hernia: Agent of the Goddess... like Ain?
- Messenger of God: You are defective. Drown... in the depths of order.
- Ain: What...?
- Hernia: Ain! You mustn't lose hold of yourself! These beings are realizations of your doubts! They do not actually exist!
- Ain: (These are my doubts? Does that mean I fear other agents of the Goddess that held the same mission? Me? Impossible.)
- Messenger of God: You've forsaken the mission given to you by the Goddess.
- Ain: I did not forsake my mission. I've only done what I must to correct he problems that arose.
- Messenger of God: You gained something forbidden of you, and were swept away, eventually turning away from your mission.
- Ain: ... The mission I was given was to add my being to the Large El to stabilize it... While I may have acted differently than I have in the past, I have continued to find a way to stabilize the El. The essence of my mission is still the same. Something's gone awry if the Goddess is not answering my calls... In order to resolve that issue as well, the El must be completely restored. And that can all be done without Elsword's sacrifice. Actually, it is best that the El Search Party is fully intact incase the El is...
- Messenger of God: You wished to save Elsword even when it went against your mission.
- Ain: That's...!
- Messenger of God: You've been tainted. Though you say the essence of your mission has not changed, you are fully aware... That you, who have gone against the will of the Goddess, who have been in contact with Chaos, and call demons your friend, can no longer be considered our own.
- Ain: .......
- Messenger of God: Your faith is tainted. You prioritize your judgement over the mission given to you by the Goddess for the continuation of the El. This, directly challenges the authority of the Goddess. You, who have turned back from the Goddess, no longer have the right to use the name given to you.
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Ain: (I have decided to do my part, not as an Agent of the Goddess, but as Ainchase Ishmael. But perhaps now, I can no longer define myself due to that choice. If the path I chose to separate myself as an individual denies my very origin... Then my decision to change... will lead to me no longer being myself. What could possibly lie at the end of this path? No! I'm not wrong. The fact that I still exist without disappearing is proof enough that the Goddess approves of my action.) I... do not regret my decision to save Elsword and protect the El Search Party. It's not something I should be condemned for. I did change. But it wasn't to turn my back against the Goddess or challenge her authority. I just... I just did what I believed was right. That I was on the right path. Elria also accepted my will, so I...!
- Messenger of God: Do you truly believe that?
- Ain: What are you...!
- Messenger of God: Did Elria give you a mission when you went under her authority?
- Ain: ... I...
- Messenger of God: No other Agent of the Goddess experienced what you have. Yet, you readily claim that gods have approved of your objective. The arrogance of interpreting God's Will according to your convenience, that too, is something we do not have.
- Ain: .......
- Messenger of God: You are a traitor. You've changed, and can no longer be called our own.
- Ain: (THIS is a mere illusion? These words that challenge the very basis of my being... How could it not be real?)
- Messenger of God: You are no longer one of us. You are nothing.
- Ain: (I thought I needed to control the repulsion that is innate in me. I thought I was doing quite well. But... If my decision to quell my impulse is the correct one... Why am I so uncertain?)
- Messenger of God: You have no confidence in your choice. A choice without conviction is no choice at all.
- Ain: (... My entire foundation is shaking. The reason why I feared straying from my path as an angel...)
- Messenger of God: A human's faith is fleeting...
- Ain: (Was because I didn't know how I would stand beside them if I were not an angel. And...)
- Messenger of God: Therefore, it holds no meaning.
- Ain: (I didn't know if they would still see me as Ain, even after I change...)
- Hernia: ... Ain. As you have already witnessed, I have spent a part of my life as the El Lady.
- Ain: .......
- Hernia: When I was at the El Tower, I ate a lot. Whenever I had time, I would eat something. Did you know? I'm not a picky eater. The Priestesses often told me I would get sick if I ate too much, but I would still fill my stomach in any way I can.
- Ain: ... Why are you telling me this?
- Hernia: Looking back, I think I kept trying to fill myself up, to compensate for the emptiness I felt as I became one with the El... Later... even that feeling of emptiness started to fade away.
- Ain: .......
- Hernia: The more I began to lose my memory, the more I became afraid. I did not understand why I kept feeling this way, because I believed I was doing the right thing for Elrios. I thought it was because I lacked faith... because I wasn't ready to sacrifice myself. So I was torn, and was worried, and suffered. And when I finally made a decision... Whose decision do you think it was?
- Ain: .......
- Hernia: The decision was my own. I am the one who decided to accept my fate as the El Lady.
- Ain: Even though you'd no longer be human if you become one with the El?
- Hernia: Even when I slowly fade away and I am finally forgotten, that final piece that fades away will still be me. Do not be afraid of being afraid. It's alright to be afraid of change. It's natural to be afraid when you step away from a path that has been paved for you to finally be on your own. It's to be expected.
- Ain: (This feeling of uncertainty... is to be expected?)
- Hernia: That doesn't change that I'll be Hernia, and you are Ain. Even if we become something else, or if nobody remembers us anymore... It doesn't change the fact that we were there at that time and place, standing by their side.
- Ain: (A life that was meant to be forgotten the moment I stopped interfering... However, they remembered my presence. The time I spent with them... and my name. Though it is a name given to me by the Goddess, it is still a name that denotes 'my being'... Even if I change and become something else... To you, I will be...)
- CRASH-!!
- Ain: The place is...
- Hernia: Are you alright?
- Ain: ... I don't know. Is this fine? I don't know if this feeling of sinking endlessly can actually be considered fine.
- Hernia: I think the reason why you feel uncertain is because you now understand other people's perspective.
- Ain: Other's... perspective?
- Hernia: You began seeing the world outside of absolute decree and blind faith, and began thinking about why instead of just accepting as is.
- Ain: ... Which are all things I used to believe were meaningless... Thank you. Although, I could have done without the information of you not being a picky eater... It was rather helpful.
- ???: Ain... chase...
- Hernia: Ain...? Is that?!
- Ain: ... In exchange, I'll show you something you could probably do without.
- ???: Ishmael...
- Ain: That's the embodiment of my uncertainty.

Quest Completion Dialogue

- Embodiment of Uncertainty: Ainchase Ishmael...
- Ain: .......
- Embodiment of Uncertainty: It isn't too late. You can turn back. Throw away all your impurities you have gained through your contact with Henir and come to me. You still have a mission to do in my stead.
- Hernia: Ain...?
- Ain: ... Goddess Ishmael. I apologize that my uncertainties have lead you to appear in this manner.
- Embodiment of Uncertainty: You have gone against my will... Yet, you wish to return my power to Elrios. Hypocrisy is a human trait. You are an angel. The more you accept their trait, the further you will stray away. Yet, you will never be fully human. Something in-between an angel and a human... Do you truly wish to embody 'Chaos' itself?
- Ain: I did think it might be better to just chase my mission as before, whenever my fear of change became too much. Looking back, escaping to my past wouldn't have been a concept my past self would have understood either. A choice that was available to me because I learned from humans... If that's the result of my choice... Then I will gladly accept the consequences. Goddess Ishmael... No, the embodiment of my uncertainties... I will not become Chaos. I am much too aware of myself to become a part of Chaos after all. I am the Agend of God, with a mission from the Goddess, and one who have now sworn to protect the Goddess in Elria's name. One who will endlessly transform beside them and guard them... I am Ainchase Ishmael.
- Hernia: Are you awake?
- Ain: ... El Lady...... No, may I call you Ms. Hernia? Thank you for your help. I would not have been able to wake up on my own.
- Hernia: No, I'm sure you would have woken up eventually without my help. I just helped you get up faster.
- Ain: How do you know? You... Ah well, I guess I did reveal a lot about myself.... Ms. Hernia. I did know logically, that my uncertainties were uncalled for, and that my future was not set in stone. You told me these feelings were to be expected. Looking back, I became unsure ever since I have faced Chaos. Observing human's behavior, judging, feeling uneasy... All that stemmed from Henir, but is now a part of my emotion. I thought I would be fine as long as I was certain of myself... But in the end, I was shaken to the core. If I have to feel this 'expected feeling' again and again, I may be swallowed up one day. If that happens... What will be next?
- Hernia: You are constantly evolving. You are different from when we last met. The fact that you've managed to maintain your form, despite losing consciousness instead of dissolving into El energy, is proof in and of itself.
- Ain: ...!
- Hernia: Sometimes... I think it might have been better if I became one with the El to stabilize it. But... There were those who told me to stay alive. Not only Fenriart... but Master Ventus, Master Denif, the Priestesses of this time... Everyone... Because they asked I do not sacrifice myself... I can still live today as 'Hernia'. Now, I try to do my part as the 'El Lady' and as 'Hernia'. Ain, I have chosen to walk the path as the El Lady. I have accepted the sacrifice that comes with it. But now, I decided to continue on as Hernia. That may be going back on my word. It is certainly a change. This change didn't just happen on my own. I was able to change because many people talked to me. And some change happens drastically, before you even notice. Ain, are you still afraid of change?
- Ain: ....... If I say no, I'd be lying... But if this change is due to their influence, I suppose it's alright. I may become unstable again... But yes, as long as I remember what you told me, I think I would be alright.

Chapter 43: Preparation
The entire El Search Party reunite as Elesis tells them of preparations, but tells them about the missing nobles. Add decides to apologize, saying that although it was the best choice, he could've asked their opinions, and Elsword apologizes for not knowing his own feelings. They prepare the details, as Master Gaia, Laby, Ara, as well as the supposed technician, Calonne, arrive in Elrianode. Meanwhile, the Masters hold the final meeting, as they weren't ready to tell them about the Moon Master, Ebalon, betraying them for Henir's Order. They decide to not say anything, and instead take it upon themselves to figure them out, and find out the true goal.

- Chung: Ain! Are you well?
- Ain: Aw, did you worry about me? I'm fine, thanks to Ms. Hernia.
- Lu: Eve, how about you?
- Eve: I have undergone repairs and am now functioning optimally. More importantly... What happened? Your hair is singed at the end.
- Lu: It, it's nothing! I'm glad you're in good health!
- Elsword: I'm relieved to see everyone's doing well. Was the stay uneventful?
- Aisha: I wouldn't say 'uneventful'...
- Elsword: Huh? Why, did something happen?
- Rena: We'll explain later. Anyway, it seems you two are getting along better than you left. Did you make up with each other?
- Elsword: .......
- Add: .......
- Ain: They've been like this all day.
- Aisha: Sigh, men! Do you really have to be so childish?
- Elsword: We were... Busy! Yeah! Too busy!
- Elesis: Oh! Elsword, you're back!
- Elsword: Sis! Where have you been?
- Elesis: I just informed Velder of what we've learned so far, with the help from the Priestesses. So they can prepare for an upcoming invasion. Now that Berthe has access to the portal technology, it's only a matter of time before they start the invasion.
- Raven: I see, we might have a repeat of the last demon invasion soon, then.
- Elesis: This time, they won't be able to use the El shards as a medium, so it will be difficult to predict where they would show up.
- Rena: It'll be best if the invasion never happens, but...
- Elesis: Yeah. And... I received a rather strange order. They said many people went missing from the castle during the Velder demon invasion. They couldn't find any trace of them, so they've been reported as missing... But some suspect they've been taken by demons. They asked me to investigate if we head back to the Demon Realm.
- Lu: What? Demons dragged humans to the Demon Realm? Are you certain?
- Rena: (Demons kidnapped humans? Then... cold it be that the elf that Lincy saw was...)
- Elesis: It's all speculation at this point. Since people went missing in the castle, most of them seem to be nobility...
- Raven: ......?
- Elesis: But since the nobles hold a lot of influence in Velder, they've asked to at least make a show of searching for them in the Demon Realm.
- Ciel: Of course, if we find any captured people, we would rescue them, but if they're in the Demon Realm, then...
- Elesis: We can only hope they're wrong. Since the Demon Realm is not a place ordinary humans can endure.
- Raven: Elesis, about the missing people...
- Elesis: Huh? What do you want to know?
- Raven: ... No, it's nothing.
- Elesis: Ok? Anyway, now we have another reason to go back to the Demon Realm. I hope the portal engineer of the Northern Empire comes soon...
- Aisha: I'm sure Master Gaia, Ara, and Laby will handle it just fine. For now, let's focus on interpreting the message that Rose received from Rigomor, and getting better at using this artifact.
- Eve: Message from Rigomor? An artifact? Looks like we have a lot of catching up on.
- Aisha: Oh! Let me explain! So...
- Add: Wait, I have something to say.
- Elsword: ......!
- Chung: Wait, Add, maybe you should think on this first!
- Add: What?
|
Quest Completion Dialogue
|
- Ciel: I agree. Though it may feel tense, we understand why you made the decision. We know it was the only available option at the time.
- Elesis: Yes, so please think again about leavi...
- Add: You... idiots!! Listen for once! Ahem! Sorry... for acting on my own.
- Elsword: Add?
- Add: I'm telling you, I still think my decision was the optimal choice. But, I could have asked for you opinion before I went with it. That's the only thing I'm apologizing for. Don't think you have one over me or anything! Since I know how sensitive you are about this, I will apply that knowledge in future consideration, but if I think it's necessary, I'm still going to do it no matter what you say. Understood?
- Elesis: ... Do you have to add that much commentary on a simple 'I'm sorry'?
- Add: Sh, Shut up! You, could have thanked me for saving all your sorry butts, but instead...!
- Elsword: Thanks, Add.
- Add: .......
- Elsword: I knew you made the decision you did for our safety... But I was just so angry. When I was sparring with Solace, I realized that the person I was truly angry with wasn't you, but myself. So... I need to apologize, too. I'm sorry. You made a difficult decision, but I took my anger out on you, instead of accepting my short-comings.
- Add: Tsk, stop it...! It's embarrassing.
- Ain: See? Isn't it much better now that you're honest? So mature!
- Add: You talk big for someone who was unconscious until now.
- Elsword: Anyway, where are the El Masters? And the Priestesses?
- Elesis: They're at the El Tower. They asked us to leave for a moment, so I think it might have to do with the El?
- Rose: Oh, and Master Gaia is not in Elrianode at the moment. He left to go to the Northern Empire with Ara and Laby.
- Add: Then who's that over there?
- Rose: Oh! Master Gaia!
- Lu: Looks like those who left to the Northern Empire are finally back. Then that man...
- Ciel: That must be the White-Ghost King's portal engineer.
- Chung: We have so much to share, and so much to hear.
- Aisha: Mmhm- I bet they'll be shocked to hear what we've found!

Quest Completion Dialogue

- Artea: The final El Master's meeting... So that's what Master Ventus meant.
- Ignia: But why is it that we only know the story of the Sun Master and the El Lady? If something like that happened...!
- Denif: Elrios was not ready to accept the full truth at the time.
- Ventus: Plus, when Solace disappeared with the El Lady, all El Masters lost their credibility. It was so bad, we almost had to beg to stabilize the El with the elements. We had to beg them to save them! It was really not the time... To reveal that the Moon Master was a member of Henir's Order.
- Darkmoon: ... I finally understand why the Moon El was so much smaller than the other El shards. It was because the Moon Priestess at the time had to imbue the attribute instead of the El Master...
- Rosso: ... She got what she deserved. There's no need to feel pity.
- Ventus: How scary! Did you also act that heartless when you left Fanelia behind?
- Rosso: Sh, shut up! She needed to stay behind to train the next Fire Priestess...! It's difficult to find those with fire attributes as is!
- Denif: If you do not have full control of your element when you create the elemental El, it will take your life force.
- Ventus: That's why it's quite fascinating that the Sun Priestess managed to survive after creating the Sun El. No matter how amazing she was, she alone couldn't have...
- Denif: .......
- Ventus: ... Ah ha, Solace you sneaky bastard!
- Rosso: He runs away without care, then takes care of everything behind the scenes. He's so irritating...
- Ventus: In any case, it couldn't have been easy acting as the Sun Priestess with Solace, the Sun Master, being known as the sole perpetrator of the El Explosion.
- Gloria: Actually, for that very reason, the Sun Priestess lived in seclusion. She also searched for the next Moon Priestess candidate in other Priestesses' stead.
- Darkmoon: Due to her efforts, the Sun Priestess and the Moon Priestess had a very close relationship. Thanks to the established relationship between the two elements, we sisters were also able to receive protection together.
- Denif: She has fulfilled her duty as a Priestess to the end... Ventus, any new information you'd like to add?
- Ventus: I've been searching ever since I woke up, but haven't found anything. Well, I was distracted by the demon invasion for a while.
- Artea: But why did Henir's Order wait until now? If they wished to end the world, surely the 500 years when the El Masters were absent was the perfect time to do so?
- Rosso: Who knows what crazy fanatics are thinking. Anyway, what now?
- Denif: What do you mean?
- Rosso: Are we going to tell them, or not.
- Denif: ....... We will not tell them.
- Ignia: ... Are you sure? We don't know what might happen. Maybe it's better to just...
- Denif: They face too many problems as is. Let us not burden them with this. For now, the Master and Priestesses will take care of investigating Henir's Order. And find out what their true goal is.
