This skill will not consume a cannonball if there are no targets within range when the skill is used.
The missile will slightly launch enemies, typically resulting in them being knocked down as you cannot move out of the skill quick enough to catch with another attack, though some persistent skills can be used prior to this skill to catch them.

All missile-firing commands (such as ) used to function similarly to this active, firing a hit-scan blast at the nearest target instead of firing an actual projectile. This can still be seen in many of Centurion's commands.
