Trivia

  • Add's job path in Lore/Story would be the Doom Bringer path.
  • Add is a "Debrian" who hails from a time period exactly 300 years prior to his arrival to the present and is a descendant of the "Nasod Ruler", an Anti-Nasod Annihilation organization founded by Adrian.
  • Add's official theme song is Invincible.
  • Add's real name is Edward Grenore.
    • Add's mother, Grace, changed Dynamo's recognition of Edward's name, bypassing it by calling him Add.
  • His dungeon victory quote in Henir's Time and Space reveals that the time and space crack that he fell in and teleported him to the ancient library was caused by the god of darkness, Henir.
  • He saved Eve during the story quest Ancient Heritage and officially joins the main cast on their journey during the story quest [Village] El Lady and the Prophecy along with Chung and Ara.
    • Add made a few appearances prior to the events of Hamel, though his name was obscured.
  • As a result of appearing briefly during the end of Elder story quests, he gains unique dungeon victory lines from Elder onward, only using generic lines in Ruben, like other characters do before they join the main cast.
  • Currently, Add's prologue dungeon and ending cutscene is in direct conflict with the main story, and cannot be considered canon at all.
  • Add's unique eye pattern is his family mark and is the result of a certain type of data chip that was implanted into him.
  • The Nasod Dynamo originally was a single AI Nasod unit which Add savaged the chips after it broke down to create the set of 6 mechanized weapons. This is why Add never refers his weapons as multiple units.
  • In the Japanese server, "Nasod Dynamo" are renamed to "Nasod Drive".
  • The Nasod Armor is an invisible layer of armor that surrounds Add's physical body, as shown as the electron gauntlet shown in Psychic Tracer's artwork. It not to be confused with the electric symbols that appear during Dynamo Configuration Mode (Awakening).
  • Add wears a choker on his neck to conceal a scar he received from enslavement.
  • Add appears to be the one to supply Wally with the blueprints for Nasod Inspector.
  • The Grenore family lives in a mansion in the forest northwest of Velder and appears to be located around where Elder currently resides.
  • Add likes sweet foods, especially chocolate.
  • Oddly, Add is shown to have distinctly pointed ears compared to other human characters.
    • This could be hereditary as it's shown in the small glimpses of Add's father that he has ears similar to Add.
  • Add is afraid of ghosts as seen in his dungeon clear dialogues from Underground Chapel and response in Voice of Remorse.
  • Add seems to be a clean person as he loathes getting his clothes dirty. He also seems to dislike becoming sweaty, as he complains and wishes to install a cooling system in the dungeon Dragon Nest and whining about his clothes getting dirty in Heart of Behemoth.
  • In 2015, Add was chosen to be released as the first Nendoroid figurine for Elsword after receiving the most votes in a poll voted by players.
    • These Nendoroid figurines are not available for sale. They are distributed to players during certain events.
  • The Dynamo bear a strong resemblance to Mari's Geas class's weapon, Soul Taker, from Grand Chase.
  • Add and Noah share the trait of being from the past as a result of having been in a space cut off from the flow of time in the world.
  • In each of his job paths' 2nd job classes, the reason Add follows Eve differs.
    • In the Lunatic Psyker path, he learned about Eve from the Altera Core and hopes to steal her energy source to use it to power his Nasod Armor. In Feita, he instead stole a moonstone from Allegro to power his Nasod Armor as he think it would be shame to use Eve as a mere energy source. He then starts to follow Eve as a research subject.
    • In the Mastermind path, he learned about Eve from the Altera Core and wants to steal her AI chip to perfect his new technology - Dynamo. However, after facing demons who are made of inorganic material but can move freely like a machine in Feita, he researched on this phenomenon and decided to apply this theory into the Dynamo instead, allowing him to control its movements according to his mind. He then starts to follow Eve as a research subject.
    • In the Diabolic Esper path, Add does not chase Wally all the way to Altera, managing to complete his time travel formula. Later on, he just travels between gaps in space and time, completely unaware of Eve.
    • In the Dissembler path, Add found records of his Mother research instead of Eve. He then decides to focus more of human bodies instead of Nasods. Whether he is aware of Eve or not is unknown, but his goal in this path is unrelated to her.
  • In each of his 3rd job paths, Add's relationship to his parents' goals and interests differs.
    • As Doom Bringer, Add fulfills his father's goals by turning himself into a living weapon made by combining human and Nasod together, albeit willingly and with free will. He also manages to live a life that his mother would have wanted for him by staying and interacting with the El Search Party.
    • As Dominator, Add obeys his mother's last wish and lets go of the past to focus on the present. However, the present that Add focuses on is a cibernetic world ruled by himself, and seems to be a defensive mechanism that he created to keep his sanity and an alternative to avoid the failure of can't go back to his exactly past.
    • As Mad Paradox, Add discards his physical body, denying his father's goal, and goes against his mother's wish for him to let go of the past.
    • As Overmind, Add uses his mother's research to heal others, but takes after his father and performs experiments on people, seeing them as test subjects, and above that, troops who will never betray him, believe in his will, follow any order and devote themselves to it.

Prior to joining the El search Party
Generic Clear Lines

  • Add: There's too many aggressive weaklings, so bothersome...
  • Add: Hmm, that was a clean battle. I'm glad I didn't have to get my hands dirty.
  • Add: I can't stand being weakling...!! Power...I need more of it...!
