Veteran Commander
Specialty
With a new Nasod arm, Raven is able to overheat beyond his past limitations, allowing him to execute even more explosive flame-based attacks. He now possesses abilities that leave flames on the ground, burning enemies who walk through the scorching ground. With Shadow Backslide, he is capable of shadow stepping in both directions to misdirect and evade enemies.
Background
Before his Nasod arm could overheat one too many times and fail him in battle, he approaches the Ponggos for their expertise in weapons.
They promptly send him out to collect rare materials for the repair: Ignis’s arm that blasts out nuclear flames, for greater firepower; the dark steel of Durahan Knight, for better heat resistance; and enchanted, mass-altering golem fragments, for making the usually heavy dark steel easier to carry. Gathering all these materials from such huge, dangerous monsters is clearly not simple, but Raven succeeds nonetheless.
The Ponggos complete the Nasod arm enhancement, and soon pushing the overheat system to its limits, Raven becomes the distinguished Veteran Commander—a temperamental yet compassionate leader of fighters.
Second Class Advancement
At Lv35, Weapon Taker can advance into Veteran Commander. The second class advancement quest is obtained from Ariel, the event NPC located in every town.

Overheat
Weapon Taker and Veteran Commander has a unique system in which he can increase the effects of some combos and skills by "overheating" himself as well as increasing his damage output by 10% in a similar fashion to Awakening Mode. To do this, one must repeatedly press the skill button for the corresponding skill 5 times or more in succession; if done right, a small text will appear saying "OVERHEAT". However, Overheating will result a loss of HP as well as a recoil that leaves one vulnerable. Whereas Weapon Taker's skills will recoil with an uppercut after overheating, Veteran Commander's skills will recoil with a swing.

- Overheating no longer damages Raven over time. Instead:
- For combos, each extra X blast consumes a bit of HP.
- For Skills, with the exception of Deadly Raid, at the end of the overheated skill, 20% of the damage done from the overheated damage will be deducted from HP.
- The way to see if Raven is overheated is changed. Rather then his whole body on fire, he now only sets his arm ablaze. New way of seeing overheat state(Veteran Commander's arm vents will open, Weapon Taker's arm will just be on fire).
- Harpoon Spear, Deadly Raid and Ignition Crow - Napalm/Incineration have been added to the Overheat list.
- Overheating no longer damages Raven over time. Instead:

Trivia
- Veteran Commander is Raven's job branch to follow the Transform theme; a desperate act done in order gain a tremendous boost in power.
- Raven increases the firepower of his Nasod arm, further increasing the risk of overheating his arm and injuring himself.
- Whenever Veteran Commander's arm overheats, it will show as his arm 'vents' opening, and makes a sound when it closes.
- According to the official manhwa, "Brave Heart", it can be assumed that the color change of a portion of Raven's hair stems from nuclear radiation caused by Ignis's core that was implanted in his arm.
- With both Mercenary Behavior and Shadow Technique of Mercenary - Survival, Veteran Commander can become extremely resistant to overheat, status effects, and damage when low on HP, making him a progressively difficult opponent to injure.
- During Veteran Commander's release event in NA/UK, When summoning his NPC Card, the angel from the KR pre-event appears and fights for them. However this didn't happen in his Pre-event.
- Veteran Commander has exceptional mid-air maneuverability compared to other job classes after learning Air Slicer, which gives him the most mid-air skills out of any job class.
