Tips and Details
- Strangely, canceling the transformation causes 2 hits to occur for the Demonic Energy Explosion, as opposed to 1 for activating it, unlike Altar of Evil which hits once both times.
- As you cannot use any other skills or attacks while in Madness state, it is best to use certain buff skills before activating Transcendence.
- While the
combo does a lot of damage, it takes an extremely long time (10 seconds if completed) to do said damage, making it quite bad for your overall damage output.
- can be looped quite easily as the second has short recovery frames. Due to the range and damage of the first two slashes, this is suggested over doing the complete combo.
- Like Altar of Evil,
and 
commands cannot be used mid-air in Madness state.
Trivia
- Ciel's voice becomes noticeably more destructive and mad while in Madness state.
- Ciel's Madness state is the direct result of the contract with Lu feeding too much demonic power into him too quickly, as opposed to Dreadlord who has learned to deal with those powers over time.
- Ciel completely abandons his projectile attacks in Madness state, using his gunblades only as swords.
- Ciel's body turns completely dark while during Madness state, nothing more remaining than his eyes, now completely engulfed in an eerie blue glow, signifying his complete descent into darkness.
- The Korean tooltip mentions that Ciel is transformed into an Asmodian demon by the demonic energy passed over from Diabla, implying Lu to be of Asmodian origin. This could be be a reference to KOG's earlier game, Grand Chase, and the demon character Dio, who himself was an Asmodian demon.
