Special Status Effects are mainly status effects obtained by special skills or moves. For example, El-enchanted weapons. These status effects are shown by a small image on top of the character.

Constant drop in HP.
Possible to die by this Status Effect.
Hit by Fire El Stone Enchanted Weapons.
Hit by some Burning-enchant related attacks and skills.
Hit by Fire Orbs.
Frozen
Certain percentage of Defense Ignored by attack.
Reduces victim's Movement and Jump Speed.
Hit by Water El Stone Enchanted Weapons.
Hit by Freezing-enchant related attacks and skills.
Poisoned
Certain percentage of Attack Speed Reduced.
Constant drop in HP.
Possible to die by this Status Effect.
Hit by Nature El Stone Enchanted Weapons.
Hit by Poisoning-enchant related attacks and skills.
Hit by Nature Orbs.
Petrified
Victim is encased in stone and cannot move and will not be knocked down for a period of time.
Victim's Defense will increase by 10% while turned into stone.
Hit by Light El Stone Enchanted Weapons
Broken Armour
Decreases Physical Defense by a certain percentage.
Some attacks in Chung's combo gives him momentary Heavy Stance.
Panic
Causes the effected target to receive an increased critical rate from the one that caused the status and his/her teammates.
In PvP, this status causes your movement controls to reverse (like Confusion), and switch back to normal. However, this constantly switches controls unlike Confusion.
