Abandoned Icerite Plant

An old abandoned icerite factory. The cry of the uninvited guests ring through the old pipes.

 

Description
We must operate the abandoned factory again to go to the laboratory with the portal.

The Abandoned Icerite Plant is a large facility or scaffolding and pipes. The area consists of one large map with a variety of different areas to it. The residents of Rigomor seek to repair the facility but the area has become infested with monsters. Help the residents perform their tasks and repairs as well as performing errands of your own.

How to Play

Players must completely 3 of the 4 listed objectives in order to move on. Objectives:

  • Clean Up Top Floor: Clean up the top floor by defeating monsters.
  • Repair the Refinery: Defeat the monsters and protect Haivan as he repairs the refinery.
  • Clean Up the Mines: Clean up the mines by defeating monsters.
  • Collect Heat Stones: Destroy Heat Stones and Heat Stone Box to use against the boss.

Icerite Debuff

Various attacks from enemies will inflict the   Self DebuffIcerite debuff. This debuff will permanently decrease your Physical and Magical Defense and the debuff can be stacked up to 20 times. The only way to remove the debuff is to stand within the cloud produced by Heat Stones which will provide you with the   Self BuffHeat Stone buff which will make you immune to the Icerite debuff temporarily.

  Enviromental Debuff - Demon Realm

  • The El's power does not reach into this realm, Attack and HP will be reduced by 60%.

Monster Image Monster Description Monster Moves
  Armadulla - A large mollusk hiding inside a reinforced shell. Found on the upper portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Charge: Retreats into its shell, drastically raising its defense before rushing forwards, dealing damage to whatever is in its way.
  • Shell Sprout: Flips itself, causing a field of shells to sprout of the ground in front of it.
  Seren - A flying electrical jellyfish. Found on the upper portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Teleport: Disappears and reappears next to a target.
  • Zap: Rises up and releases an electric discharge from its tentacles.
  • Whirlpool Shock: Suck in players into a whirlpool in front of it, dealing continuous damage. The attack prevents skill usage while being sucked in and inflicts no hitstun.

Note:

  • The jellyfish has an electrical aura which will passively deal damage to nearby players.
  Homon - A flying seahorse. Found on the upper portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Tackle: Winds back and lunges itself forward. It is able to aim this attack, adjusting its angle based on what it is aiming at.
  • Bubble Attack: Fires a large bubble.
A.M.P.S Type - Abyssicola - A floating, spherical robot containing some type of suspicious liquid. Found on the ground portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Gas Emission: It will start to emit gas wherever it moves for a period of time. This will inflict a stack of   Self DebuffIcerite.
  • Gas Leak: Upon being defeated, they will release their contents, spewing a cloud of pink gas which will inflict   Enemy DebuffExtreme Coldness and a stack of   Self DebuffIcerite on nearby players.
A.M.P.S Type - Archelon - A mechanical robot modeled after a sea turtle with some kind of jet propulsion system attached to its back. Found on the ground portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Jet Ram: Propels itself forward with its jet, ramming into players in its path. It will leave behind a trail of noxious gas that inflicts   Self DebuffIcerite.
  • Rocket Stomp: Propels itself diagonally upwards with its jet boosters. The landing will create a shockwave.
A.M.P.S Type - Kaempferi - A mechanical robot modeled after a crab with extremely long legs. Found on the ground portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Claw Swipe: Swipes downwards with its two metal claws.
  • Gas Emission: It will emit gas beneath itself which deals damage to players and inflict   Self DebuffIcerite.

Note:

  • Only its main body has a hitbox, and while it is larger than the visual, certain attacks on ground level will be too short to hit the monster.
  Icy Anemone - A plant-like creature that has nested itself. Found in the underground portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Toxin Release: Releases a cloud of toxic mist around itself, inflicting   Self DebuffIcerite on players nearby.
  • Surprise Attack: Reveals a large claw-like mass that injects itself into the ground. This will cause some type of growth to shoot out of the ground underneath a player.
  Small Frost Hermit - A hermit crab who has taken refuge in the scrap metal of the Icerite plant. Found in the underground portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Claw Swipe: Advances forwards and swipe downwards with its large claws.
  • Missile Lob: Lobs a missile out of its metal shell which arcs towards a player. This attack can be aimed anywhere across the map. The missile will explode in a cloud of pink gas which will inflict a stack of   Self DebuffIcerite.
  Sea Chameleon - A large chameleon creature. Found in the underground portions of the Icerite plant.
  • Camouflage: Turns itself invisible, drastically increasing its evasion, causing your attacks to have a chance to miss.
  • Tongue Attack: Shoots out its long tongue. It can angle this attack straight forwards or upwards.
  • Charge: Instantly charges forward, tackling targets in its path.

  Heat Stone - A mineral deposit found in the region. One of your tasks is to collect these minerals. Destroying them will also release heat energy which makes you temporarily immune to the   Self DebuffIcerite debuff.
  Bounce Pad - Platforms which will propel players upwards if stepped on.
  Heat Stone Box - A shipment of heat stones dangling at the top of the boss room. Destroying the container will release the heat stones' energy across the map. This energy will apply a buff which makes you temporarily immune to the   Self DebuffIcerite debuff.

Note:

  • The Heat Stone Box has a limited amount of heat stones. This number is dependent on how many heat stones collected in the first room.

Monster Image Boss Description Boss Moves
  Clockwork Frost Hermit - A large hermit crab that has amassed a large armored shell built from the wreckage of the Icerite plant.
  • Claw Swipe: Swipes with its large claws. When doing this, it will also cause a large rock to fire out in front of it.
  • Burrow: Digs into the ground and try to launch a surprise attack. Its locations can be indicated by a trail of dust.
  • Charge: Charges forwards, harming anything in its way.
  • Missile Bombardment: Fires a constant barrage of missiles for a prolong period of time which will rain downwards from the sky. Missiles will explode upon contact with any floor and will leave behind large clouds of pink gas which will inflict a stack of   Self DebuffIcerite.
    • It will create a protective barrier around itself which will reduce the damage taken as well as being a constant state of Hyper Armor.

  • This is the first time since the removal of Evasion/Accuracy as a stat that the 'Dodge' message makes an appearance, occurring randomly when attacking a camouflaged Sea Chameleon.
    • Though the message could still have been seen prior via certain accessories or titles which granted a chance of evading certain monsters.
  • The El Search Party splits up into three groups to help on repairs, and who you play as determines which Chapter 39 Epic Quest you will get, making it the first time a quest is based on your character after they have already joined up with the El Search Party.
    • The top floor has Rena, Eve, Elesis and Laby help Nichel to clean up the chimneys.
    • The middle section has Elsword, Aisha, Raven, Ara and Add help Haivan to repair the refinery.
    • The bottom section has Chung, Lu, Ciel, Rose and Ain help Winster to mine for more Icerite.
