The skill deals no damage on cast, instead inflicting damage and hitstun when the Super Armor expires, either after its duration expires or upon contact with an enemy.
Despite what the skill tooltip may imply, you are able to attack using commands or other skills; the Super Armor will only expire early if the Lost Child skill itself hits an enemy.
