Altera

Altera, a mysterious floating island situated in the middle of the entire Elrios Continent. Nobody knows why there even exists such an island, especially one that floats, in Elrios...

Funnily enough, the island of Altera is home to the Ponggo Race, a type of bipedal mole race that lives within (not on) the island itself. However, it will soon become apparent that the Island is also inhabited by the leaders of the Nasod, a secret race of extremely advanced technology.

Chapter 6: The Floating Island, Altera

Chapter 6 & 7

Elsword and the gang ended up crashing in Altera Village. They soon begin to realize that it was the Black Crow battleship that attacked Wally's Airship. Adel has helped the Party arrange a surprise attack on Raven. Raven was defeated by the Party, and he realized that he was making a mistake all along. He then decided to join forces with his opponents. Raven decided to help the team find the El, so he led the Party to Altera Core to get the stolen El back from King Nasod.

  • Raven: El Shards are the most important resources for the Nasods. Once they find a Shard, it goes through to the Nasod King. I haven't seen the Nasod King either. Nasods.. Don't trust humans and because of that the Black Crows weren't able to get inside.
  • Adel: Hmm, then I guess that us Ponggos will know the area better than you, pong. Nasods could attack at any moment but we'll help you out in any way we can, pong. Altera has a place called the Return Plain and it is where all old Nasods go to die, pong. If we find out where those old retired Nasods are coming from, it could be a clue, pong.
  • Elsword: What are you hoping to find by going through the Graves of Nasod..?
  • Aisha: It means we can't find the entrance inside the Island, you dummy!
  • Adel: Oh, and that place is dangerous so be careful, pong.

After that incident, there were just too many Nasod Soldiers there overwatching the place.
  • Agatha: That's right, pong! I've wasted numerous picks digging that tunnel! Even thinking about that makes me fume! POOOONG!
  • Rena: Wow that big mouth... It might be bigger than Elsword.
  • Aisha: Not as bad as Elsword, Rena.

  • Adel: Anyways, we're been researching the spore you brought us last time, pong. But the results are weird, pong. If there are anything worse than this one.. Description

  • Amos: It has come to the worst, pong. The spore from Return Plains and the ones covering the B4-1 Tunnel is called Alterasia, and it's a parasite.
  • Elsword: These things are.. parasites?
  • Amos: That's right, pong. It's a rare breed that reacts to El and uses that to grow. It lives inside the host that uses El energy, pong. Once inside it controls the host to find another host, pong.
  • Adel: Apparently this was a weapon created by humans to fight Nasods back in the great war. It contaminated Nasods to fight against each other.
  • Rena: A parasite that can potentially be lethal to Nasods.. We must have a way to use it somehow..
  • Amos: It's not that easy, pong. These things are critical to our devices and we are currently unsure of other negative effects might have, pong.
  • Elsword: You mean we have to get rid of them all!
  • Raven: Every journey starts with its first step... Let's go.
  • Rena: Those two get along better than I thought

  • Amos: What? There's a giant Alterasia inside the Nasod Fortress, pong?
  • Elsword: We didn't know too, at first.. But when the fortress opened this big flower monster at came at us!
  • Amos: The Nasod must have trapped the Alterasia inside their fortress while abandoning it. Even the Nasods are scared of Alterasia, pong.
  • Adel: The problem is, pong..
  • Elsword: You're saying Alterasia can contaminate previous Altera?
  • Aisha: It... could be the worst possible outcome.
  • Adel: If you destroy the fortress, you should be able to escape the tunnel, pong. I wish you all the luck, pong!
  • Amos: You took care of it? That's a relief, pong. It will probably stop spreading but we must keep it in check in case one of them mutate again, pong.
  • Adel: After the tunnel is the plains, pong. Once you pass the plains there is a path that leads to the Core, pong. The entrance is heavily guarded by powerful Nasods, but in order to get to the Core, you must go through them, pong.

Those who feared and ran outside their home were frozen and the ones stayed inside the house burned to death, pong.

  • Rena: There was really nothing that could have been done.
  • Raven: They started their test again, they must have enhanced it even more.

Chapter 7: Total War!

The El Search Party reached the Nasod Foundry, located at the base of Altera Island. They have successfully destroyed the production line to stop the assembly of Nasods, and came face to face with Raven's clone, Crow Rider. Crow Rider was guarding the elevator that connects to Altera core but was defeated by Elsword and his gang. They finally defeated King Nasod and returned the El to Ruben Village. The rest of the Party then left to start their journey through the continent all over again.

  • Adel: Look for an underground entrance after the plains, pong.
  • Raven: They have a few proto types but they've been mass producing Nasods as well.. There must be a place where they create them.
  • Adel: From the info we've got, the Nasod Foundry is circular in shape and underground, pong.
  • Amos: The foundry is the most heavily guarded place in all of Altera, pong. Not a single Ponggos has been in that area, pong.
  • Rena: A mysterious place that we have no info on.
  • Elsword: This looks dangerous.. ALRIGHT! I'm pumped!
  • Adel: There should be an entrance past the Altera Plains, pong. Altera Core is just around the corner, you can do it pong!

  • Raven: A secret weapon? They must have been desperate.

  • Amos: It must be the final version of the Nasod Scorpion they were testing in the plains, pong. To think they already had it ready.
  • Raven: This might be a lot tougher than before.. We must be prepared.

Description

You finally entered King Nasod's Altera Core that is tightly guarded by an army of Nasods. Let's destroy all of the Nasods in our way and finally defeat King Nasod!

  • Amos: Right, to the Altera Core, pong! There's the system core in the middle of the Foundry which controls all of its Nasod productions. Altera Core is connected to the System core, pong. King Nasod should be with the Altera core, pong!
  • Elsword: I bet the El Shard will be there too.
  • Adel: Of course, pong. From the tales, we're not sure if King Nasod ever left Altera but possibly after the Great Explosion of El, pong. After that King Nasod has been collecting El Shards and building his Nasod Army, pong. It was very secretive so it was never really known outside Altera, pong. But for some reason they have been more open about pursuing the El Shard using the Black Crows, pong.
  • Rena: Would they be after going outside the Altera Island and cause more harm?
  • Elsword: Don't worry about it! We just have to retrieve the El Shard and defeat King Nasod!

Description

Altera Core is equipped with machines to extract the energy of El that has been collected from the entire continent. One of them is machine that converts the of El to enhance the Nasods. Let's go to Altera Core and remove the El Energy Extractor.

  • Amos: You've finally found the El Shard, pong!
  • Elsword: Yeah, they are turning on a very large extractor
  • Amos: The original energy source of Nasods are El, pong. Nasods made by Wally were just an imitation of them. The ones made by King Nasod are also the case. Nasods developed after the Great Explosion are all made to use as little El as possible as El Energy was scarce.
  • Adel: Just the sheer size of the extractor alone shows that the El Shard from Ruben is very powerful, pong.

My main body started a War with the humans to protect the Nasod from their greed but lost and stopped functioning. But Eve, you woke up from the Great Explosion. You restored my basic code into this Giant Nasod body and went back to sleep. And I have done everything in my power as you programmed to restore our kind. But I guess my ways were wrong.. Humans destroyed my plans and I have broken into by them.
  • Elsword: Hmph..
  • King Nasod: I must tell you one thing. To Nasods to survive, you don't need this big of an army. The only reason I made this big of an army by collecting the El Shard was because I sensed a greater evil and I tried to Elrios from it. The greater evil was the Demons from the Demon World. For some reason this land was connected deeply with the Demon World and was affected by it for a long time. That connection has been strengthened after the Great Explosion and ever since then the passage to the Demon World was connected and they have been preparing their invasion. If Elrios was to be destroyed by the Demons, there's no point in continuing to reserve the Nasods. Eve, as the last survivor of the Nasods... I leave everything... to... you...
