The Moon Energy will explode on contact with an enemy or after floating up a small distance. If it connects with an enemy, that enemy will always take damage once from all 5 traces that appear.
Only tall and wide enough enemies can be hit by all 5 traces, though landing 3 of them (aside from the guaranteed 5 hits on contact) on most regular enemies is fairly common.
Due to the way the skill appears, it is best to summon it directly below your target where possible, as it will surround them with the traces for more potential damage. Small enemies may just sit in the center and be hit by none of the traces however, so keep the skill's spread in mind.
- While it is consistently possible to land the skill on enemies launched by, for example, , this should be done with caution in PvP, as it puts your opponent in a neutral air state, allowing them to act the moment they land.
The Traces of Moonlight do not inflict hitstun.
The Leg InjuryLeg Injury only applies to enemies touching at least one of the traces, so it is possible for smaller enemies - such as players - to avoid it by being in the middle of all the traces.
